In my upcoming book, there is a chapter called "The Hijacking of the Modern and Intuitive Mind," where I have a conversation between myself, Deleuze, and Bergson. My dialogue with them is about trying to understand the indoctrination that helped deteriorate civilization during the 20th century. By July, it had fallen to $57,750, a 54.2% drawdown.

Today, October 5, Bitcoin is around $87,000, up 50.6% from the July low and still about 31% below the all-time high.

Bitcoin is pumping at 85k this morning and last Friday night I did quite a bit of work mapping both paths for this fall. The number could go up to 135k but it could also drop below 57k. This is because I have been watching also the 8-year cycle of Venus retrograde. I go in length in the article. The gains from July 1st until today are close to 50%.

One look at Ed Sheeran’s chart and you can see why something was going to move. His Sun is at 28° Aquarius, and the February 17, 2026 solar eclipse landed right on it, on his birthday. Pluto moved as close as 5° Aquarius this spring, opposing his Jupiter at 6° Leo, and is now back around 3°, still close to his Saturn at 1° Aquarius. His North Node is in Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, and Saturn in Aquarius leads us to Uranus, now moving toward his Mars at 8° Gemini. Jupiter in Leo is ruled by the Sun, and that Sun was eclipsed. You can almost see the whole chart talking to itself.

Then something happens in the world and the astrology becomes visible. Decisions around his tour, other artists, promoters, and venues put him inside a larger conversation about individual choice, institutions, community, consequence, truth, and ideology. I’m interested in the timing. Pluto opposing Jupiter can pressure a worldview. Pluto on Saturn can expose the structure holding that worldview. Uranus approaching Mars can change the direction of action quickly, especially in Gemini, where action moves through words, decisions, and exchange.

Macklemore’s chart is saturated with Gemini: Sun 27°, Mercury 7°, Mars 23°, North Node 25°. Mars sits right on his evolutionary direction, with the Sun close by. Mercury at 7° Gemini opposes Uranus at 6° Sagittarius, with Jupiter at 3° Sagittarius conjunct Uranus. Saturn at 27° Libra conjunct Pluto at 26° Libra trines his Sun, while his South Node at 25° Sagittarius sits close to Neptune at 27°. Belief, ideology, language, meaning, and what gets said out loud are all tied together.

And then the two charts touch. Macklemore’s Mercury at 7° Gemini sits almost exactly on Ed Sheeran’s Mars at 8° Gemini, while Uranus is moving through the same territory. His words land directly on another person’s action point.

All of this is happening as Venus in Scorpio begins the first of three squares to Pluto in Aquarius: September 15, October 20, December 9. Venus begins a three-month journey into the underworld, where values meet power and whatever is hidden inside relationships, institutions, money, loyalty, and desire has a way of surfacing. I’m curious about what begins to emerge collectively as this cycle unfolds.

“collective time preference” can it actually be collective, since price emerges from millions of subjective valuations acting at different temporal horizons. The aggregate creates a visible pattern, and that pattern moves in cycles and octaves. You may never predict the exact event, and you can often perceive the interval, the tension, and the direction of movement.

I am looking very, very closely at the market right now, comparing 2017–2018 with 2025–2026. There is a rhythm happening through Venus, its retrograde cycle, and other configurations in the sky that I have been tracking through specific parameters. I do see the potential for repetition. It is never linear. A cycle can repeat in another octave and express itself differently. The interval could break either way. We may break into 137k or back to 38k LOL.🤣

Thank you for your kind words. If Bitcoin is a state of consciousness, then block time can be one expression of consciousness making time legible to itself within its own ledger. The block is the present. What is behind it has already passed, and in the mempool we can see the probabilities of what may come next, without certainty.

This reminds me of the I Ching because I have always understood it as a timepiece as much as an oracle. The 64 hexagrams describe movement through time, and each one carries a particular quality of change. There is also the correspondence with the 64 codons of the genetic code, which is another reason this architecture keeps appearing in different systems.

So then the question becomes: if the block is the present, and the mempool contains probabilities of what may come next, is there such a thing as certainty in time? Or are time cycles themselves expressions of probability? Does time exist independently of perception, or does it become intelligible because consciousness can observe intervals?

I really enjoyed this conversation between Jack and Nick. I listened to it twice because I wanted to go back to certain parts that I understood from a different perspective the second time around.

More than anything, it spurred something in me. It made me think about how Bitcoin allows us to observe time, and how curious I am to keep exploring what opened from this conversation.

I’ve been saying for a couple of years, and I have a talk where I say it directly, that Bitcoin is a state of consciousness and it meets you where you’re at.

I don’t really mean that hierarchically. Depending on your level of awareness, what you’re paying attention to, and where you connect, you begin to perceive different things inside the same system.

For that, I also call it Layer One.
Because consciousness, as Federico Faggin says, is irreducible.

In Austrian economics, human action is a priori. It is the first principle.

Bitcoin works beautifully with human action because it encounters choice through opportunity cost, intention, and, through action, becomes purposeful behavior.

And even though Bitcoin is made out of numbers, I don’t experience it as static. I see harmonics in it. The halvings, the intervals, the mathematical architecture, the repetition and interruption of cycles.
Harmonics are part of the nature of reality. They are also part of the quadrivium, one of the oldest ways of organizing knowledge.

Arithmetic is number. Geometry is number in space. Music, or harmonics, is number in time. Astronomy is number moving through space and time.

So when I speak about harmonics, I am thinking about proportion, interval, rhythm, tension, recurrence, and movement. They are interesting precisely because something can appear to move predictably, and then an interval or a point of tension changes the movement.

Gurdjieff spoke about these intervals. Things don’t simply develop in a straight, uninterrupted line. There are points where the movement changes, where something can evolve or involve.

This is also how I can read financial markets or astrological charts. There are rhythms, intervals, tensions, repetitions, and changes in direction. The movement itself contains information.

And then astronomy brings another question. How and where are we located within all of this?

One of the insights I took from Jack and Nick’s conversation was their way of thinking about blocks as time itself.

Jack calls the block a “quantized tick of time,” and at one point says:
“We exist on the other side of the boundary. We’re observing time from the outside.”
This opened another question for me because I don’t experience time as linear. For me, time is dimensional.

Dimensions cannot necessarily be measured in the same way we measure chronological time. I feel that you have to be both inside and outside of them to observe and perceive them.

So the idea that Bitcoin creates a sequence of discrete, measurable blocks while we can observe the time produced by that system from outside of it gives me another architecture for thinking about time. I want to explore that much further.
What does it mean to be inside time while simultaneously observing it? What exactly are we measuring when we measure time? Are we measuring time itself, or are we measuring intervals that allow us to orient ourselves within it?

I’ve been questioning these subjects for as long as I can remember, exploring the nature of reality, thus the name of my first book, through Taoist teachers, Carl Jung, astrology, Human Design, Austrian economics, Bitcoin, and other practices.

Some people call these things woo woo. I don’t. For me, they’re different ways of looking at the nature of reality.

Even the root of physics, physis, takes us back to nature. We’re all trying, through different languages and systems, to understand what this reality is made of and what our relationship to it actually is.
Bitcoin gives me another architecture through which to observe and be part of it.

The value, again, is in perception, observation, intention, and purpose.

It is also the one-year anniversary since Charlie Kirk was murdered. Tomorrow is a big day for a lot of people, and for me, it is three years since my mother died. Life keeps on going, and all I am doing is maintaining an equilibrium within the tension between destruction and creation.
