If Discord wants to upload it, send a link, and simply fetch and render on the other side, fine, whatever. If Signal has to store the content on their servers until it can be delivered, fine. But as is, there&#39;s an artificial barrier between Nostr content on Amethyst and other social apps. Acid rain stopped because of air pollution regulations that governments enacted and enforced, and it probably would have devastated at least some ecosystems if allowed to continue. The ozone later was getting absolutely thrashed by CFCs and other chemicals, and they only stopped being used because of the Montreal Protocol, where many nations agreed to ban their use. We can calculate how much of these gases the human race produces, compare it to the volume of the atmosphere, calculate its impact on concentrations, and measure to confirm those calculations.
