1. In my opinion, DNMs should start integrating the Nostr protocol. Imagine if the next platform is seized: the sellers don't lose their reputation if their reputation is stored on Nostr relay servers. This stuff improves the experience for clients AND sellers. The network can be resilient if this DNM is located on the Nostr relays.

2. I think with the new technologies like AI Agents + Nostr, it is now possible to create a truly resilient autonomous DNM as a living organism. Imagine if special types of agents are running on the VPS servers, whose job is checking for the decentralised DNM relays, being able to spin up new servers and spin up these relays on them. If some relays are shutting down, the agents can spin up the next relays, creating a true healing system, and if the agents have enough balance, they can expand to the next new VPS to create new relays, autonomously, they can pay for servers via crypto.

3. For every order/transaction in this DNM network: before creating an order, you pick a mediator between the client AND the seller. Every mediator will have a reputation (like 4.8/5 and so on). You can manually verify every comment that ppl write when they rank them. You can trust the ppl who used this mediator to trust the mediator. You see the amount of trades this mediator did and the % fee rate from the trade. This stuff eliminates the need to trust one DNM admin like we have now. This stuff will be sovereign and work on the Nostr level.

4. Relays should be hosted on the Tor/I2P networks to keep their IPs hidden.

Yes, what I wrote is sci-fi, and I haven't thought deeply yet about how to implement it. But hey, it's interesting for me what you guys think about it.

These dudes in getartcraft.com recreated Adobe and Microsoft Office in Rust. What additionally fascinates me isn't even the fact that they recreated it, but the fact that this software is planned from day 0 to be used by both a human AND a machine (AI agent), and is developed with this in mind.

Yes, these apps are still buggy, but hey, they are in active development, they're just in the alpha version. Chill, keep them cooking, and let's see how they work in a few months or a year.

Thus if we allowed CLSAG with Carrot outputs, and FCMP++ with Carrot outputs, then someone could double spend a Carrot output

However, it relied on the code that gets the "max height" of a ring member to be correct, and unfortunately it isn't since the ring member's id calculation can overflow and wrap around, which causes the "max height" to be set to the wrong value. The solution in 499 addresses this by preventing ring members from overflowing at the fork, and also double checking that ring member heights are increasing or the same
jberman: rucknium: I'm not strongly opposed to this. It's a nice-to-have that we still need to validate is even working correctly (and txs aren't getting dropped)
jberman: We'd essentially be saying some expected valid txs might get dropped around the time of the fork, which isn't ideal
jberman: We can do everything we can to make sure this interim fork code is airtight to make sure there isn't inflation. It does widen the surface for things to go wrong though
rucknium: What would be the risks if wallet software started constructing FCMP-compatible txs 10 blocks before the fork height?
jberman: Immediate answer is I think that would a riskier change. If we were to allow such txs into the pool early, we'd have to modify a lot of consensus critical code for verification too that has to make sure not to allow those txs into the chain until later

jberman: They notify an error if the tx doesn't reach the node's pool (or is kicked from the pool)
rucknium: Last time, someone spammed right before the fork. (Someone claimed responsibility for this at a MoneroKon or Monerotopia conference years later IIRC.)

jberman: Personally I'd prefer not to remove the grace period fork and get this code correct. But if the idea to remove it and allow some txs to get dropped at the fork gets more support, I'm not opposed

jberman: That "critical" issue would've been caught immediately once the code is enabled by (multiple I'm pretty sure) tests. It's a result of a snippet of DB code that I copy pasted into a different spot from our development branch because I felt it would make the code cleaner. That was a poor mistake on my part
jberman: I made some other changes on that branch from our development branch in aims of making the code cleaner and stronger based on some comments I've gotten in different places over the months
jberman: With the compiler flag for this FCMP++ integration code, we could turn it on for tests as well. I'm also going to introduce significantly more testing that we have in our development branch already, into the upstream master branch in later PR's (because it uses prover code, and I wanted to isolate consensus changes for review to focus in on the major potential consensus issues)
jberman: If we had all this stuff in 1 PR FWIW, I'd be working through 1000 LLM comments at this point
jberman: On "shared custom unlock_time makes one unbounded tree growth": this is yet another reason to drop the timelock feature. We're settled on the retroactive deprecation date so that won't be an issue
jberman: I guess I can introduce that consensus rule into this PR as well

Ohhh god how I hate Lightning, it's the shittiest payment tech I have ever used in my fkn entire life.. it's just unusable, I cannot use this crap.. even when I want to test it again for Zapping on Nostr.. after all these years.. god... it still hates me.. again and again.. every time I lose money due to some strange bugs and it never works in my hands. In comparison with onchain payments I had ZERO problems in my entire life, onchain just WORKS EVERY time and I have never lost funds here.

I don't hate LN in a vacuum, if Lightning was actually usable and worked, I wouldn't hate this tech, but as I said, this tech just doesn't work. Every time I try to use this supertech, EVERY TIME something goes very strange..

Why are you calling yourself something like a "bitcoin maxi"? All your interests and all what you think about is just looking at charts on green Uncle Sam's paper bucks numbers per your asset. Again and again when the price of your cryptocurrency goes down by your beloved fiat, you see and start to think that your fiat now has a bigger value to you than your bitcoin in your wallet. All you think is just a number go up against this fiat. You are not a bitcoin/crypto maxis, you are just a fiat maxis and always have been.

What about me? I made a great big beautiful piss deal with any fiat and I have just topped up some credit in the great service - silent.link, bcs I don't need and i don't use your shitty government token fiat for payments (especially on the internet). If price/fiat drops by the next 50%, I will continue to use crypto to make payments like I always do, because this is what cryptocurrency is about and why we have this technology - to free yourself from government financial slavery.
