Entrepreneurs are wired differently.

They exhibit traits of psychopathy (not in a bad sense, well mostly 😂)

You have to be a little bat-shit cray cray to take an idea from nothing, and spend years trying to turn it into something.

We’ve heard at previous Batley Entrepreneurship Club events where the importance of sports, fitness & health directly correlates with entrepreneurship and life.

The mistake is separating them all, instead of seeing them as different spokes of the same thing.

Previous guests have come with an entrepreneurship first lens, this time we’ll have a perspective coming from an elite professional athlete.

Boxing has many parallels to building projects, side hustles and business…

…all wrought with challenges where you must Find A Way.

For now, you need to just find your way to Batley (😂) on the 22nd of July.

An evening with Johnny Nelson is going to be electric.

It's a BIG one...we've onleh gone and got Johnny Nelson MBE coming to Batley! 🥊

Yes…theeee national icon, former world champion and Sky Sports pundit Johnny Nelson MBE will be our special guest speaker at the next Batley Entrepreneurship Club event.

The theme of this event is aptly named:

Find A Way: From Written Off to Top of the World.

Johnny is known for holding the record as the longest-reigning cruiserweight world champion of all time.

But before he reached the top of the world, he lost his first three professional fights.

A couple more losses, and the boxing career may well have been over.

Instead he found a way, despite being completely written off early on.

Similarly, small towns like Batley are written off. People trying to build businesses, projects and careers, especially in the North of the UK in today’s climate, are often written off too.

And so we too must find a way regardless, making Johnny's raw, real-world story incredibly relevant for our times.

What an honour to bring this level of prestige straight to Batley. It's goin' to be another fabulous evening:

Just some Arsenal fans in enemy territory at Manchester United, one day before the Champions League final 😁

Had a great time at the Uniteid Event organised by Rooful Ali of Emerald Network and Aatif Majid of Halal Expo Manchester 2026.

Something different. Never been to Old Trafford before.

More importantly met some amazing people.

Also had a good catch up with Rooji The Foodie, Amrein N and Azeam Akram.

Said it before a gazzillion times, the UK when the weather is good is something else.

So many cool people doing cool things, up and down the country.

Issue is trying to keep up with all these events
😂

For now, you can imagine the excitement in an Arsenal household today. ⚽️

2026-05-29T09:29:03Z

Internal work first. External execution second.

Transitioning from employment to entrepreneurship is less skill, and more psychological.

Not just a pattern I’ve noticed in others, but myself first and foremost.

The issue is, most of us focus too much on the skill, strategy, tools, techniques, plan…

…everything except the psychological blockers which actually move the needle.

AI doesn’t change this equation. In fact, makes it worse.

Are you prepared to do the internal work?

Are you prepared to expose yourself through immense discomfort?

Are you prepared to show up, looking like an amateur, but keep going anyway?

Most are not. Most will struggle to adapt to the post-career AI era.

It’s not as simple as failure vs cowardice. It’s deep rooted psychological conditioning.

Tapping into behaviour and identity - the two most difficult things to change - the two biggest Minotaurs you as a career professional will face.

And that’s what https://minotaurmastery.com is about.

Eid Mubarak. Have an awesome day.

The ladies absolutely smashed it up last night at Batley Town Hall! 👏🏽

Ngl I was nervous about this one myself, with it being the first female panel we've had at a Batley Entrepreneurship Club event.

But the feedback, love, support, energy from the crowd was fantastic.

The really positive thing, it wasn't just the women that were inspired; so many men provided glowing praise as well.

A fair few teenagers and young people in the room were buzzin' too.

A big THANK you to Annissa Mohsin, Sobiya Jawaid and Rooji The Foodie talking about their journeys and sharing their unique insights.

Feedback included people saying they were happy to hear the vulnerable, difficult parts rather than just the good things.

It takes a lot of courage to be vulnerable on stage in front of lots of people - approx. 88 turned up on the night from 107 registrations.

Huge thank you to EVERYONE that attended - once again people travelled from far and wide to lil ol' Batley 😂

Huge thank you to the local businesses that supported: Chaiiwala Batley, Zahoor Sakharkar & Spices & Rices.

Huge thank you to the supporters and sponsors:

🎗️ CK Foods (Omar Bhamji)
🎗️ West Yorkshire Combined Authority

Shout out to the BEC members who also took the stage about their projects.

And a massive thank you to ALL the volunteers & helpers who make nights like this happen.

Doing events is great training for entrepreneurship.

It's chaos which you need to bring into order.

You can plan as much as you want, but when an event starts you just roll with it, as things don't actually go to plan.

The first event, naturally was the most stressful.

Didn't really know what I was doing. Tried to make plans for every single little thing.

When things deviated, the stress just increased.

So when the speaking finally began, and the microphone stopped working, well...it was not comfortable at all having so many silent faces staring at you waiting 😂

Experience means letting go.

Because what you're letting go is the need for perfection, which means letting go of stress.

The irony being, if it is too formal, too perfect, too scripted, it becomes less relatable.

That's why we don't enforce dress codes or any other expectations.

You come as you are.
You meet people as you are.
You build relationships for who you are.

None of that pretentious chest-forward, polished drivel you get at most networking events.

It's just a vibe and an experience which you can be part of, 3 days to go.

"You've got to see it to be it."

Nasar Hussain dropping some words of wisdom here and summing up why events are important.

Social media is powerful.

But it comes with a lot of noise. And now with AI, even more slop.

In person you can't fake it. The actual person shows up, no filters.

It's all about the human interaction as Nasar puts it.

What I love about this clip is how Batley, a town that typically gets written off, became the attracting factor.

Just like Bradford, there's so much good happening in these places. It just needs highlighting.

That's what these events do.

Real people. Real stories. Real inspiration.

Personal brand no.
Media company yes.

Social media has changed.

Most of the feeds are now unbearable with AI slop.

You’re posting into a jungle.

Strategic content distribution across platforms is the play.

Volume compounds.

The formula:

Repetition. Reputation. Relationships.

2026-04-28T10:36:17Z

I, like many of you, was conditioned to dislike attention. But "attention is currency"

Yeah we all cringe when gooorooos say that. However, there's an element of truth in it.

The post-career era rewards attention. All of these platforms are fighting for attention.

Media, government, big tech - all vying for attention.

Feels like err'one's been bangin' on about you needing a personal brand, why? Because it gets attention.

Most professionals cringe at the sound of personal brand.

But you need to reframe, personal brand is child's play.

Serious operators know they need to shift towards a full blown media company.

And as a media company you need distribution. Which brings you attention.

With that attention, you then solve problems, help people, provide value, and build your career.

You stay relevant in an AI age making seismic changes.

Yesterday, I talked about my March analytics.

One month means nothing. As a distribution system you need to zoom out and take a look at the compounding effect:

Approximately 3 million views across 5 platforms.

(Doesn't take into account the 2 other platforms I've posted on, nor the posting on brand accounts).

Some of you will remember when I was spoofin' 7-figuhhh-hustlaa a couple of years ago after surpassing a million on LinkedIn.

Being on one platform is dangerous: censorship, account removals and it's all gone.

As a media company you're not focusing on one platform; you're focusing on different distribution channels.

You're not comparing to what others are doing and getting.
You're building out assets that work for your circumstances.

A more detailed breakdown here:

2026-04-27T18:54:43Z

Some people build empires just so they don’t have to go home to a quiet room.

We call it ambition. Most of the time, it’s just a specific form of modern sedation.

You use constant work and "building things" as a high-status distraction to avoid internal confrontation.

The inability to be alone with yourself is a classic "Internal Minotaur"

It’s a fear wrapped in a suit that keeps you trapped in the maze of busyness.

I stayed stuck in a legal career I hated, and then sedated with movies, computer games and tv shows before trying to build something. Didn’t work.

Internal peace must come before external execution.

Otherwise, your external results will always lead to internal dissatisfaction.

The vicious cycle repeats keeping you trapped in the Minotaurs Maze.

Master your Minotaurs. Master yourself.

Escape the maze of modern sedation: https://minotaurmastery.com

Think. Evolve. Contribute. Ascend.

2026-04-27T07:38:44Z

If nobody sees you, nothing else matters.

You as a media company need visibility, which comes from distribution.

Most will tell you views don't matter, and they're vanity metrics.

Don't listen. Traditionally it used to cost millions in ad spend to get views.

You can now get them without spending a penny.

Views for the sake of views matter little.

But they're the first, most important part of your media distribution system.

Without views, doesn't matter how smart, intelligent, great at your job you are.

You become invisible.
You become stagnant.

Without views, doesn't matter how great your product or service is.

Nobody knows it exists. Nobody will use it.

I changed my strategy from 1-2 platforms only because I was looking at it like a "personal brand"

It's no longer personal brand, it's media company. And therefore MULTIPLE distribution channels.

My March numbers are approx. 163k views across different distribution channels.

With AI, this all becomes data that can be analysed. I've started vibe-coding a personal media intelligence platform.

So I'm practicing what I preach and ticking off the different skillsets I keep mentioning you all need to develop:

Expertise in your field
Proficiency in AI
Problem-solving
Communication
Visibility

Your job isn't safe. Neither are your perks, your flexibility, or your career trajectory.

Five LinkedIn top stories published today tell the whole story:

- Meta's AI-driven layoffs

- Vanishing workplace perks

- High-earning men using AI to get ahead even more

- Why you need to be ambitious
Developing leadership skills

The external pressures are obvious.

The internal barriers are what actually keep you stuck.

Your work doesn't speak for itself. It never will.

The longer you keep hoping it does, the longer you'll remain overlooked. So what do you do?

Stop thinking personal brand. Start thinking media company.

Because you are a media company no matter what your industry or field of expertise is.

You need to start behaving like it.

I repeat, there are 5 key skills you need to stay relevant in the AI age at minimum:

- Expertise in your field
- Proficiency in AI
- Problem-solving
- Communication
- Visibility / Distribution

This applies to individuals, whether employee or entrepreneur, and businesses whether big or small.

Being a media company doesn't just take care of the bottom two.

It will amplify you as an expert in your craft, force you to learn AI, and get your problem-solving skills to work.

Here's where you can read more about it and what I'm doing personally:

Batley Entrepreneurship Club Presents: Women Breaking Barriers!

An evening focused on powerful stories of women breaking the mould, building, scaling, failing and rising again.

This event brings two exceptional founders & leaders to Batley.

- Annissa Mohsin who built a £30M business from a spare room

- Sobiya Jawaid who broke cultural expectations, from kickboxing champion to business & leadership

Both are taking centre stage at Batley Town Hall to share what it really takes to push past limits and build something meaningful.

And of course, this will be followed by the open networking session; which now has a reputation that's really spreading far and wide!

Eid Mubarak.

Have a blessed day with your loved ones.

Cray cray times out there; today is a day to just switch off and be present to celebrate.

On a personal note, the Minotaur Ramadan Challenge has finished:

No junk food
No fried food
No fizzy drinks

We did it!

Althing we failed on the no desserts.

Just had my first bit of fried food on Eid.

Already regretting it!!

Need to go even harder with the discipline post ramadan.

Anyhow, enjoy your day! 🥳🎉🎈🎊

Not only a phenomenal story for AI and brand building - this guy has regularly spoken up about Palestine.

You can imagine the hate he will have gotten in return, so to still do this is extraordinary.

Also emphasises why we need to build more proper tech brands and companies.

The impact on changing lives is huge, as well as changing society.

But the influence that also comes from it puts it on another level.

Think of your brands as more than just profit generating enterprises.

Because they are so much more than that.

Especially at a time when we need to realign focus of brands legitimately uplifting humanity as opposed to destroying it as long as it makes a profit.

Your mind is an intricate maze, buried deep inside is the Minotaur...

...symbolic of fears, doubts, insecurities, anxieties, ego and self deceptions.

In today's world, one of the biggest self-deceptive Minotaurs is faux-outrage.

Getting angry, upset and worked up about everything and anything.

Not because it's entirely legit, but because it gets attention.

Even when it's legit, the Minotaur creeps up and turns sincerity into rage-baiting attention seeking.

Don't succumb. Reflect instead using the TECA framework:

Think
Evolve
Contribute
Ascend

Inner work and deep thinking is the only way to evolve.

Once you improve yourself, then you can contribute by helping others.

Done for the right reasons, and not for attention-seeking ego, is what leads to spiritual ascension.

Anytime I’ve not got to where I want to be…

…it’s been because I refused to change my habits & behaviours.

Thinking is easy.
Changing behaviour is hard.

Don’t default to believing strategising is progress.

Don’t think results will come without dealing with your internal Minotaurs.

Visibility won’t come without exposure.

Exposure is daunting alone.

There's a rise in Muslim brands, which is great to see.

However, there's an element to be weary of if you decide to do the same.

And that's you will be held to a higher standard, but also you'll attract comments from peeps who won't like the religion being used for branding purposes.

It's also down to how quite a few are doing it all wrong by utilising over-hyped American style marketing.

Might work in America.
Doesn't work in the UK.
Certainly doesn't align with many Muslims' standards.

This is not to discourage it from happening.

But to just be ready for judgment, even if your intentions are pure.

And to use the right type of marketing; because if not, the backlash will be severe.

Batley-maxxin' has become UK-maxxin' big time.

The UK Gov has just launched a new £500M venture fund for AI founders.

With a £1T tech market, the UK has the largest AI sector in Europe.

If you were looking for signals as to why be optimistic about the UK, these are it.

Naturally, it's not just about learning AI.

You need a cross-sectional skillset as mentioned the other day.

AI means nothing without a problem solving mindset first and foremost.

Solve real problems using AI - don't just use AI for the sake of using it.

Strong communication skills become paramount.

As does visibility - you can have the best AI product, but if hardly anyone knows about it, it's not going anywhere fast.

The quartet skillset we're focusing on with the Batley Entrepreneurship Club via Minotaur Video Exemplar and the recently agreed AI partnership:

- AI
- Problem-solving
- Communication
- Visibility

I did 75-hard a few years ago, 75 days of activities including diet and 2 work outs a day etc. continued the gym for 90 days before lockdowns.

Another time I did 100 days in the gym in a row - the transformation doesn’t really hit until after day 65 for both times.

They tell me it’s over for Muslims in the UK.

My LinkedIn feed has been full of wonderful iftaris happening up and down the country.

I’ve attended 3 this year:

- Manchester
- Bradford
- Batley

Every single one has been great.

Not only is there a lot of talent in our community; we have professionals and entrepreneurs at the highest level.

The above pics were taken at the Bradford iftar.

Lovely surprise to see Waqas Barbar in our ends all the way from Burrrmingham.

Shoaib Khan’s a kool-kat I met for the first time in Manchester and then again in Bradford.

And Naheem Khaliq - my former law firm partner - didn’t hesitate to take the opportunity to try and convince me to come back into law 😂

Shout out Rehan Ahmed of Quantuma for the invite again - and Rooful Ali for taking some amazing snaps 📸

I might still be in the minority, but I’m very optimistic about the UK.

Day 19 Minotaur Ramadan Challenge...

...no idea how I managed to stay disciplined yesterday but did it 💪🏽

Starters of fried pakoray, chips and juicy looking donner 😂

At one point I genuinely did think it was over, and was about to dig in.

But can't be a 'Minotaur' challenge if there's no difficult minotaur to overcome.

Discipline in one area, leads to discipline in other areas.

Diet challenge aside, this is more a mental discipline exercise.

With all the shizzle poppin' off around the world, can easily get lost without discipline - which tbf I have faltered with.

Last 10-11 days to go - not riskin' it with outside food anymore.

Day 18 Minotaur Ramadan Challenge and i've been on the ropes last couple of days.

Yesterday the family ordered take out food.

The pizza was calling to me like crack calls to an addict (so I imagine 😂)

Despite even my son tryna tempt; we stayed strong.

I’m not sure if this was due to corporate programming or what.

But the fear stems from being judged by their peers.

It’s why you often see the “corporate, professional telephone voice” or demeanour which changes compared to how they are in person.

What holds them back further however, is not being able to admit to themselves they care about what people think.

And funnily enough they’ll be the ones with their chest out proclaiming they don’t care.

Recipe for disaster.

If you can’t admit to yourself you have an issue, how do you expect to fix it?

I speak from experience.

I used to say I don’t care what people think, when I clearly did.

Once I admitted it to myself, I was then able to work on doing something about it.

Honest self assessment is the first step.

Inner work is needed.

And then taking action to improve yourself.

If you need a systematic way to do this, send me a DM.

The Minotaur Video Exemplar programme will rip this out of you, and have you releasing videos to build your brand/project without being held back by what people think.

The UK is still one of the best places to be in the world right now.

I got quite a bit of stick for saying this previously.

But more and more people are starting to see it, and say it now too.

The AI scene is blowing up in London.

But it's not just reserved for London, it's in other parts as well.

Turning Batley, and the North of the UK in general into an AI tech hub is the vision.

Quite a few things in the pipeline.

Day 16 of the Minotaur Ramadan Challenge - keepin' up with no junk food, no fried food and no fizzy drinks.

But the real big test comes today, with the iftari dinner at Aagrah in Bradford.

Shout out to Rehan Ahmed & Quantuma for the invite.

Let's hope temptation is resisted.

Let me know if you'll be there tonight, will be good to catch up.

Great insight. Thank you

662,316 views across social media in the last 90 days.

Big numbers to some.
Small to others that get those with one piece of content.

Context matters - comparison will always make you lose.

It's no good me telling others you are a media company, if I don't back it up myself.

I am a media company, and this is my media distribution.

I've been a bit of a hypocrite - telling others to focus on 2 platforms maximum.

Whilst i'm active on 5-7 (more considering different brand accounts).

2 is the right move (unless you have a team). You'll get better results faster.

But i'm taking a risk on a different strategy.

I have small pockets of "influence" on different platforms - which collectively are now adding up.

I've switched from trying to go viral, to organic targeted volume.

The people coming to the events are not from 1 platform; they're trickling in from the different platforms.

There's a strategy on getting "1000" true fans, and you'll be set.

1000 true fans in that context is 1000 people buying your product or service.

I'm not after 1000 true fans. I'm after 1000 true partners, collaborators, action-takers.

Attempting to curate a high-calibre network; rather than just a large network.

If each of those 1000 have just 5 other high calibre contacts in their network; then it becomes solid network of 5000.

Repetition. Reputation. Relationships.

Repetition of content, to build reputation, leading to solid relationships.

This is why I keep bangin' on about visibility and communication.

A few years ago I had neither visibility, network and below par communication skills.

So much so when I opened up a law firm, and started other businesses, they went nowhere.

I was technically good at delivering. But if there's no work coming in, there's nothing to deliver on.

So as a shy, social anxiety ridden introvert, I did the uncomfortable shizzle of learning how to become visible after decades of trying to hide from the spotlight.

Most smart, intelligent professionals are in the same boat.

Fantastic at operations, delivery and completing high level work.
Which is great when the work is given to you.

But what happens when you have to find the work, client, customer yourself?

It's the lack of visibility, network and relationships that will destroy you.

If you're ready to fix that, send me a message.

MVE exists specifically to help professionals & smart people become visible, build networks and attract opportunities.

But you’re right. You just have to keep doing it and then attract the right people.

2026-03-04T19:54:11Z

Post-career era is upon us.

This is in part due to a generational shift.

Exacerbated by the advancement of technology.

Millennials were never comfortable with the traditional “career ladder”

Most checked out mentally.

They either started their own thing.

Or stayed in what became known as “quiet quitting”

But now with tech, there are so many more options.

The generations after won’t partake in a traditional career for long.

Most will elect to either do their own thing or work as part of a small team.

Work will fit around lifestyle, not the other way around.

Cross-dimensional skills will be paramount.

Focus on being an expert in your field but also:

- communication skills
- visibility; and
- AI

2026-03-03T17:27:55Z

Focus on building 3 things:

Self Esteem - the relationship with yourself

Confidence - the relationship with others

Communication - the bridge between the two

You need all three.

Most however neglect the first and work on the other two.

But if you don't focus on yourself and do the inner work, everything else collapses.

Esp. in an age where there are so many angry-birds online waiting to take digs in the comments of your posts, which unfortunately is the reason most choose not to put themselves out there.

This was another video lost in drafts, but resurrected and edited by my 9 year old 😁

2026-03-01T15:46:16Z

People in Dubai are getting a lot of heat and mocking when there should be sympathy.

This is the result of all those influencers and people that used Dubai as means to flaunt wealth, status and material success.

This will be the result for anyone that flaunts this; which happens a lot with online marketing.

The people ahead of you will lose respect for you.

Your peers will envy you.

The ones behind will resent you.

It’s bad energy you don’t need; and people will rejoice at your downfall when struggles come.

This type of marketing has becoming so dominant, that young people are following it and implementing.

Don’t do this.

Stay authentic.

Document the journey. Be you.

Share lessons learnt.

Build brand, reputation and goodwill for the long term.

2026-03-01T10:56:42Z

The great disruption is on us, and we’re now already in the post-career era.

The traditional career route of school, university, profession, career ladder is over.

Having experienced that in the first part of my own career, that was already dying which is why I quit in the first place.

The post career era will be more individuals and small teams using AI and other skills to function as bigger outfits.

Which goes back to my video the other day about everyone now requiring cross-sectional skillsets.

The rate of change means bigger outfits will not keep up.

Therefore expecting them or anyone else to train you and prepare for this new future is folly.

You have to take ownership and train yourself across different areas.

You have to take ownership and lead yourself into different aspects.

(That is if the Epps-teeen Regime doesn’t wipe us all out before then)

2025-11-15T19:30:35Z

Ngl…for a long time I was the first (although the talking was mainly to myself in my head).

Transitioned into the latter, and it’s been brutal.

Academics and employment are also the former. Whilst they come with their own challenges, it’s still relatively safe because you have teachers/managers to guide you.

Doing your own thing removes all of that safety, comfort and guidance.

What I’m noticing a lot, espesh since starting the Batley Entrepreneurship Club, is that people want to build their project, side hustle or business whilst staying comfortable.

It just doesn’t work.

You have to go through pain. And there’s a lot of it.

Far too many are giving the “it’s so easy to make a milli” vibe; far too many are falling for it.

You’ve heard it often, growth comes from discomfort.

So if you want to stay comfortable how do you expect to grow and get results?

This doesn’t just apply to those in employment looking to start a biz.

It also applies to those that have gotten to a comfortable level in their business.

The next stage of growth for a comfortable entrepreneur is acquisitions or becoming a venture builder/fund.

Both of which are very difficult and brutal.

Whatever stage you’re at, there is always another level. And getting to that level means extreme discomfort for a period of time.

It’s easy to talk about ideas.
It’s hard to execute them.

“People surely won’t marry AI?!”

I’ve had many conversations about why BEC exists, and why Minotaur Mastery exists, although the latter has been getting less attention.

Many that have spoken with me will attest to how I mentioned the next gen will have full blown relationships with AI, and even marry AI.

I’ve put out many posts about it too.

Some took it seriously.
Most just brushed it off.

This threat is real.
It’s already happening.

Real world community is now paramount; hence I’m giving Batley Entrepreneurship Club so much energy.

Anyone that’s known me from before knows how much I disliked going out.

My preferred state was to be quiet, alone, in-doors.

It’s not an option anymore.

The next gen needs to be encouraged to be way more social, build communication skills, interact OFFLINE.

That doesn’t mean disregard online - but use it for the right purposes.

Which comes back to the idea and importance of the right role models stepping up.

I’ve been banging on about this for a very long time now.

But there’s still a reluctance from many that should be putting themselves out there, just not doing it.

One of the main reasons is being uncomfortable on camera and creating content.

Video content from “real” people is the most important brand in a world that will be full of AI deception.

You need to build that brand and trust now; doing so later will have people question if it’s real or AI.

Even more-so if you’re smart, intelligent, and have a lot of potential to offer the right type of guidance.

The Minotaur Video Exemplar programme unlocks all of this. Send me a DM with “MVE” to forge you into becoming an impact-making brand.

It’s a real pleasure to have individuals of this calibre from big companies down south come up to Batley.

However, they are still doing some amazing things already, with the exciting upcoming Narnia Festive market taking place this December.

I’ve never been to a boxing match - I plan on going to my first one this December.

Whilst Callum Simpson hails from Barnsley…

Yep, you read that correctly. That makes him a “Batley Badman” in my book 😂

Espesh with his record of being undefeated in 18 fights, 13 of those knockouts.

You’ll actually be surprised by the boxing talent in Batley (I was myself).

But that’s a story for another day.

Attended my first ever Black Tie event yesterday (yes really).

Wasn’t sure what to expect but ended up having a great time.

Huge about to Shahrukh Ali and Moinul Islam, not only for the invitation, but looking after me really well all evening.

These guys at Ashrock Estates are doing some phenomenal work, with big things to come too iA.

Had a brilliant convo throughout the evening, and connected on a deeper level.

I’ve been seeing Shahrukh on social media; who also came to the first event we did at Batley Library.

But yesterday was the first time really sitting down and speaking - and there were just so many shared values.

They also kindly offered to support the Batley Entrepreneurship Club with the plans for next year.

As for the event itself, was really insightful and inspiring to see the work that the Parklane Foundation are doing.

Met some amazing people, and just further cements the idea that there is so much opportunity and so much good happening in the Northern part of the UK.

2025-11-06T09:26:52Z

Man started by sh** posting on Twitter.

Had an alter-ego / pseudonym for his rap career.

And then went on to become Mayor of New York due to his social media activity.

The key thing to look at here is the date.

5-15 years of social media activity.

Some of you try social media for a few weeks/months, get no traction and give up.

Social media, used correctly, will 💯 change the trajectory of your life if you intend it to….

…but you have to think in terms of YEARS, not months.

Too many have been influenced by the “make money quickly” crowd.

You have to understand the marketing principle that gets taught a lot:

“Make it sound so easy and so quick that anybody can do it; because if you make it sound hard, nobody will buy”

So all of these online courses and programmes get sold using this “tactic”

People then sign-on, realise it’s hard and takes time, give up - and that’s why so many courses are considered scams.

This is also the reason why we need better role models stepping forward, creating content, and providing realistic insight on what it really takes:

- Hard-work
- Discipline
- Time!

Expectations need to be realigned so people starting their side-hustles, projects, businesses understand it is going to take a lot of time.

The first part, the hardest part, is getting attention and getting known…

…which starts with creating content for a consistent period.

Not every post needs to be business-educational - inject your personality, lifestyle, hobbies and interests.

Be you first.
Build your skillset.
Build your network.
And then go from there.

2025-11-05T10:02:31Z

You are NOT just an industry expert. You are a MEDIA company as well.

This has been one of my most repeated phrases over the last couple of years.

Whomever I speak to, I say this to; whatever the industry:

- legal
- finance
- fitness
- medical
- food
- cars
- construction
- POLITICS
- everything else

You are ALSO a media company. And you need to start functioning like a media company.

That's how an unheard of young politician named Zohran Mamdani just became Mayor of New York.

The content game was flawless. He didn't just function as a politician, he functioned as a media company.

And it was the content and media that got him the win.

Yet so many industry experts refuse to put out their own media and content; or just dabble in it.

You can't do that anymore. You need to set aside time and resources, as if it is a central pillar to your business, profession or project, towards media and content creation.

This isn't just for businesses. It's for EVERYONE. Standing out to get a better job in today's market is less CV and more MEDIA.

Too many of you are still shackled by shyness, discomfort on camera, afraid of speaking in public...

...and it's denting your chances of some real progress.

Don't let that be you. The Minotaur Video Exemplar programme specifically deals with overcoming your fear of speaking on camera, building your media presence and making an impact in the process.

2025-11-04T19:23:13Z

6 years ago I started my journey of overcoming my fear of speaking.

Only people with real shyness, social anxiety and a crippling fear of public speaking will truly understand.

Every opportunity I got prior to that, I ran a mile.

At one point, albeit long ago, it was so bad I just could not make routine appointment calls to the doctors etc.

But not being able to speak is a prison, espesh in a corporate career or when you’re building your own projects

When I left the legal world, my first attempts were to make money WITHOUT having to speak to anyone.

It just doesn’t work. Or it didn’t for me.

And so being able to speak confidently became a priority.

Started with:

- writing content and blogs
- before moving into making videos
- followed by podcasting
- to now speaking at events

When I made that video in 2019, I was just about starting the video journey. Those that were there saw it from day one.

6 years is a long time to get in front of 100+ people, but better late than never. 1000+ is the next step up.

However…I see so many trying to build things in the shadows because they won’t confront their fear of speaking.

Take it from me, it’s an even bigger uphill battle. It will in fact be easier to just start yapping away.

The Minotaur Video Exemplar programme was designed specifically to support you get confident speaking, to then build a brand and make the impact you know you can.

Hard to do that if you continue to hide away.

DM for more details on how you can become a confident speaking in public machine.

Style, charisma, humour. Nasar Hussain bought the Bradford charm to the Batley audience.

Balancing faith, family and fitness with finances in this day and age is a struggle for many.

With many online influencers skewing expectations and narratives, it becomes even more important for role models like Nasar to step forward in showcasing how it should be done in reality.

Bringing communities together to listen to experts and then network to build real relationships is another key initiative of the Batley Entrepreneurship Club.

In a world that will be transformed by AI, in-person communities will become more imperative than ever.

2 days later and I’m still tired! Events take a lot of energy out of you.

Adrenaline’s died down, can now constructively assess the event.

There’s a high and dopamine overload on the actual night.

Then there’s a post-event come down the following day.

Today’s just recovery and recharge.

Although got in a gym session, as the Friday one was missed doing the final event prep.

Been hitting the gym 3x a week for 6 weeks on the trot. Only got in 2 sessions this week. 😒

So much editing to do.

So much content in the arsenal now, including this attached image.

Just about finding the time to stitch it altogether.

Next week I’m in Manchester a lot - got my eldest booked in for football training camp.

Won’t have much time to edit, as I’m a desktop guy and everything’s on there.

But will have to find a way to be productive.

Manchester mutuals, if you’re free between 10am-2pm next week, lezzz connect.

Batleh Town Hall was rockin' last night 💥

So happy with how the Batley Entrepreneurship Club Official Network Launch event turned out, and the feedback received so far.

The energy was electric.

The numbers came in, with around 125-135 attendees on the night 💪🏽

Guests arrived from as far as Birmingham, Manchester, Preston, Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, as well as plenty of locals.

Cannot thank the guest speakers, Omar Bhamji & Nasar Hussain enough.

Not something they've done before, however they were absolutely fabulous & knocked it out of the park.

Complete naturals on stage, and phenomenal role models for the community. So many were inspired by their stories & insights.

Pleasantly surprised to learn that another role-model, Cas Majid, is in fact originally a local as well! May just be a special guest speaker soon...

Huge thanks to the supporters and sponsors:

- Chaiiwala Batley
- The Bakery by Cha Cha Chai
- Ashvic Construction
- Barkat Catering
- West Yorkshire Combined Authority

To Zahoor Saharkhar for the tireless cameraman skills.

And of course a huge thank you to all the volunteers and guests that arrived.

This is Batley, where things happen! And it happened last night!

P.S. Also had a great time at the after party at Bison's - yep, managed to make it this time 😀

Can’t actually believe it: 200 breached!

Double century hit 🏏💥

Had to readjust the ticket limit capacity before I went to sleep last night, which originally was capped at 200.

Have spoken with the council to change the layout of the Hall:

Removing tables. Adding more chairs.

Theatre style setup allows for a max capacity of 220.

Meaning we can add just 16 more spaces 🔥

This really is your absolute last chance of signing up for a night of community and connection:

This is why you send out one more email.

Promoting Batley and the local economy is one of the aims of the Batley Entrepreneurship Club.

For events, we keep refreshments light so that people then go on to visit the many great food places we now have in Batley after.

Last time there were some after parties; I couldn’t join due to tidying up.

This time…I’m readehh…that is if anyone invites me 😂

You know the drill by now. Last few tickets left:

2025-10-23T08:28:44Z

I've actually been dragging my feet with this official BEC Network Launch Event.

Was supposed to start planning it weeks before I did. But turned out, I got hit with some mental blockers (Minotaurs).

Mixture of:

Last one was a lot of work, do we really want to go through all of that again?!

Is expectation going to be higher this time around?!

What if hardly anyone turns up this time?!

Last time the topic was hot and a crowd puller in & of itself.

And so on.

They say the first time you do summin' it's the hardest.

I don't think that's true. The first time you don't really know what you're doing, so you just crack on as you go along.

After that, you realise all you have to do and it feels more like a mountain to climb.

So if you're at the stage where you're hesitant in starting your project, because you want to know / cover everything it might entail...

...just stop. Stop hesitating. Start doing. It might actually be easier and better for you to not know everything, and figure it out as you progress.

With that said, we are now at 172 registrations.

This is in fact more than the last event (as for that one quite a few signed up from around the world thinking it was an online session).

Cappin' this at 200, so just 28 spaces left.

The final countdown begins. Register now or forevah hold your peace 😂:

How much work do you actually have to do?!

In 3 weeks, i've:

✅ Created 32 social media posts
✅ Shared them 157x’s across SM
✅ Sent 2 emails to past attendees / email list.

Results: Approx. 150k views.

Leading to 1365 page views and 161 registrations.

This does not take into account lots of other things.

In other words, you have to do A LOT - and you're still not certain about the result.

Video version of the earlier breakdown which has full details.

With 161 tickets now gone, only 39 remain.

2025-10-22T09:42:41Z

You have no idea how much real VOLUME it takes behind the scenes.

2 October was the first time I published the event link - so approx. 3 weeks.

In that 3 weeks, i've:

✅ Created 32 social media posts (mainly video/image)
✅ Shared them 157x’s across social media platforms.
✅ Sent 2 emails to past attendees / email list.

That's resulted in approx. the following views:

#️⃣ 30k on LinkedIn
#️⃣ 50k on TikTok
#️⃣ 10k on Insta
#️⃣ 48k on FB
#️⃣ 9k on YT

Resulting in 1365 page views and 161 registrations.

Page view to registration conversion rate sits at approx. 11.8% which is solid.

However, from SM views to ticket page, the conversion rate is 0.93%

Registrations from there means a conversion rate of 0.11%

But, it's in fact way lower than that.
This does not take into account:

📍 Posting on the new platform NOSTR.
📍 Sharing to stories, or Facebook groups.
📍 Sharing to private messenger communities.
📍 Duplicating some on the official BEC pages.
📍 Other people that will have (hopefully) shared.
📍 All the private messages (and follow ups) i've sent.
📍 All the conversations i've had with people I see out & about.

It includes creating graphics, recording videos, editing them, writing descriptions & uploading them across platforms.

I pretty much respond to every comment I receive on every platform.

And then of course there are the meetings, calls and preparation to put the whole thing together.

If this is what it takes to get people to a FREE event; what do you think it takes to get people to purchase your product or service?!

I mention this because many of you feel like you can just post just a few times, and it should result in sales.

Also, i've had a few people ask me to do events for them.

I'm like, bruhhh, you can't hire this out. This only works for something you believe in and have somewhat of an obsession with.

A fee can't cover the above. It has to be a labour of love.

Maybe people with more experience, know-how, influence, network, capital, team can do it in 1/10th of the time, energy and effort.

But when you're effectively at the grassroots, start-up stage, you can only work with what you've got. Usually meaning, you need the help of amazing people volunteering to help out.

On top of all this, you're dealing with the internal Minotaurs:

What if hardly anyone turns up?
What if it messes up badly and fails?
Why am I even doing this, should I give up?
What if this goes wrong or that goes wrong?
What if i've missed or forgotten something crucial?
And so on

My way of dealing with this is a simple mantra:

✅ Set the intention.
✅ Do the work.
✅ Leave the result to God.

With 161 tickets now gone, only 39 remain.

History. Culture. Heritage.

This present building of the Batley Parish Church was completed around 1485.

Records however indicate it may possibly have been around since 1086.

The pathway is filled with ancient grave stones of people from long forgotten ages.

Over 500-1000 years of historeh, culture, and heritage.

Does your town have that?! Batley does.

You can, however, be part of Batley’s latest history on 24 October 2025, get yourself tickets now:

Batley, and the UK in general, is locked in the captiviteh of negativiteh.

Negativity leads to stagnation.
Positivity leads to progress.

In responding to this comment, I provided a response to the general negativity I see about Batley.

The UK in general, it seems, isn’t open to entrepreneurial endeavours.

This needs to change. And it’s one of the reasons Batley Entrepreneurship Club exists.

Positive vibes will be showcased at the BEC network launch event on Friday 24 October.

We are now past the 130 capacity; tickets are still available to take into account on the day dropouts.

Autumn in Batley, and the UK in general, is a vibe.

Take a moment to soak in the simplest of marvels we take for granted…

…as opposed to the constant negativity.

You’ll be surprised about how your outlook on life changes.

Tying to tackle the constant doom & gloom, and replace it with more positivity is a key aim for the Batley Entrepreneurship Club.

Positive energy will be rampant at the event on Friday.

When you were shy, ridden with social anxiety, self doubt, low self-esteem and low confidence…

…comments like this are actually massive compliments as opposed to the intended digs.

I used making videos online to deal with my issues.

I will advocate it to the end of my days:

Start making videos online to boost your selfesteem, confidence and communication skills.

I will return to promoting the Minotaur Video Exemplar programme because it will legit change lives.

For now however, it’s about the Batley Entrepreneurship Club Official Network Launch event.

“You can’t be successful staying legit”

I heard this phrase in various ways early on in my legal career.

I didn’t like it then. I don’t like it now.

It’s one of the reasons why I’ve been shouting about having more positive role models out there.

Building a brand while staying true to your roots, and not compromising your values therefore is an important topic.

Which is why I’m thrilled to have Nasar Hussain as our second guest speaker.

The Batley Entrepreneurship Club Official Network Launch event is shaping up quite nicely.

If you missed the speaker announcements yesterday, fear not as the video version is now here too 😁

We’ve been telling y’all Batley has some incredible things often overlooked.

That’s why it’s so cool to have Omar Bhamji speaking on a stage in Batley to share one of those amazing stories.

Over the past 4-6 months I’ve often been told we do not have enough (if any) events like this locally.

We’re trying to change that, and as of this video being recorded, 95 of you have answered the call by registering.

It will not be long now before spaces are gone, so if you plan on being part of this historic night, make sure you get your tickets.
