It uses Nostr for background sync since relays are a really streamlined way to transfer a few MBs JSON data, but is otherwise not Nostr related.

I've got ~120 something chapters already in the second installment of untitled novel, and with a lot of intersecting plotlines it was a lot harder to organize than the first one. Most of the regular tools are proprietary and expensive, and built around being a writing hub rather than just a chapter organizer. Before I vibe coded the tool, I nearly just grabbed a bunch of post it notes and physically organized it on the floor becase I needed a dynamic space to organize them.

Its both ironic and impressive that that it was cheaper and faster to vibe my own tool from scratch than it would be to use physical paper or a purpose built proprietary tool that I'd need to import content into (much of which is scans or physically written in a stack of notebooks I'll be using AI to word for word transcribe in the revision stage).

#writestr #nostrwriter #ai 2026-10-03T18:51:26Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqqqq7uunk688j76j5shlryfdr44eze7g6952jfh5aam5z7gyspszyzgs47g8ph7khmhx8ux542kr2j6a59jddwere8y8dn04ynrjqnnx63anfer In reply to nevent1q…ljux
_________________________

Depends on what we're talking about. If it's AWS & cloud services then prob carry on like normal. The laptop acting as a server on my desk and anything more decentralized like Syncthing/Nostr is pretty undisturbed by that sort of stuff. Though some cash on hand, and having a few different banking options (different credit cards, some cash in services like PayPal, ect), could be handy to make sure I could buy things.

If you mean something really serious, like taking out the Grid and the internet, then that's a different story. A few days at least of food, fuel, batteries, and the like; warm clothes, a wind up radio/flashlight, a weapon, and probably some sort of solar power. I've got a mini folding panel for phones, but if/when I buy a house I'd love to setup some cheap used panels on some posts or something, maybe get myself a makeshift mini off grid power source that's got enough juice to at least charge an electric motorcycle if not Lvl 2 EV charging. Otherwise, probably a generator.

Also probably wouldn't hurt to have offline data. Kiwix, Survival Manual, Trail Sense, and Equate all are pretty useful offline data apps - not to mention ebooks & physical books, offline LLMs, & physical maps or offline navigation apps like Organic Maps/OSMand.

My 2c 2026-10-03T18:07:48Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqqqqesx8jq4vgu80mfuf6ayzy0sa45v8vmhu3wyj7790lc362jgzyzgs47g8ph7khmhx8ux542kr2j6a59jddwere8y8dn04ynrjqnnx6t3sc5h GM all you 2026-09-23T13:34:53Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqqqqtdv0p3h5lh5ktn46dvvew2vdxz5wq34fxnsyazy30j590lszyzgs47g8ph7khmhx8ux542kr2j6a59jddwere8y8dn04ynrjqnnx6tglxhc marmot://profile/npub1jy90jpcdl447ae3lp4924s65khdpvnttkg7fepmvmafycusyueksrvllx9

2026-09-22T14:12:06Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqqqqh4hsrjfk84dkhsaemfeuyddrfqp97kvf0szljnrrs3576vgzyzgs47g8ph7khmhx8ux542kr2j6a59jddwere8y8dn04ynrjqnnx6tanarr In reply to nevent1q…2myx
_________________________

LynAlden (nprofile…ttc0), totallyhumanwriter (nprofile…3z58) & to an extent myself all come to mind 2026-09-21T11:42:40Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqs9kd2rqsapg9stnkhrwgl2ffjhlh0zma96s2grepegn4jl5q4lpgszyzgs47g8ph7khmhx8ux542kr2j6a59jddwere8y8dn04ynrjqnnx6aznrvk In reply to nevent1q…x706
_________________________

Love the thumbnail 😆, Debian & derivatives ftw 2026-09-16T11:41:15Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsfzhkaxymckps6nfg5l6r02ux5sgtw7fdfj8m06yazm6k8p5ahslszyzgs47g8ph7khmhx8ux542kr2j6a59jddwere8y8dn04ynrjqnnx6ltnt4q https://nate.mecca1.net/posts/2026-09-15_handwriting/

Poorly written #blog post about handwritten content. 2026-09-15T22:58:13Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqstsq895vp69lnrv4x706hfwjt7tlepgfc8v7ah05x965y3qpulergzyzgs47g8ph7khmhx8ux542kr2j6a59jddwere8y8dn04ynrjqnnx63586zg In reply to nevent1q…80tx
_________________________

Wayland on my main PC and Surface tab, Xlibre on my ewaste grade Chromebook. 2026-09-15T11:42:23Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsdapg5lw42cn8c2dmhg7dvquy40v3kd2s8u4qk9gq90t7vnrvhm0szyzgs47g8ph7khmhx8ux542kr2j6a59jddwere8y8dn04ynrjqnnx6d9qvv8 In reply to nevent1q…5szp
_________________________

Adventure awaits stranger, good luck 2026-09-11T21:58:52Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsf8qc5fp3uvz5spf9y8mdsr038eu5yg5gqvtvxdqxgajp550uwkmgzyzgs47g8ph7khmhx8ux542kr2j6a59jddwere8y8dn04ynrjqnnx68v2p2a In reply to nevent1q…8scl
_________________________

Folding phones are interesting, I know a lot of more Luddite aligned people want smaller phones, but honestly the bigger the better IMO. 2k is an absurd price to pay for a phone though. 2k would get me nearly 2 months rent at my last apartment, and more than 4x the most I've ever spent on an electric. 2026-09-09T20:34:42Z
