Primarily, the other 4 projects are more central to our mission & given the early stages of the Foundation with the support level we have currently, it made more sense to deploy the capital where it counts most.

These 4 projects are critical pieces to a complete & fully open-source Bitcoin mining system that severs ties to a dependency on conglomerates like Bitmain; who have actively worked to stifle innovation. We believe these building blocks will unlock future development for years.

Please join us in congratulating our first cohort of grant recipients! We are looking forward to working with these devs to help ensure Bitcoin mining changes course for a free, open, & decentralized future.

You can learn more about the grant projects at: https://256foundation.org 2025-04-06T02:00:57Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsdq38uc72uuxewlx5txgs4varjgxkt5y2k8pw6p4guh3fqezvam8qzyq9a42ngn7fjwy8uafqxmd53yrumr0ngym28wqv80nhs2l5uszh8yr05qcz Solo miner with a Futurebit Apollo mines block #888737

https://mempool.space/block/00000000000000000000b7070e88525e4064ab36df7cfbe34d785bbc6eb491ea

2025-03-21T14:36:22Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqs0l6uszpvlakvun8zj6htp42wjwrevmkxhrwz4mn3epg6zwg7weegzyq9a42ngn7fjwy8uafqxmd53yrumr0ngym28wqv80nhs2l5uszh8y4q95dx EP57 - From Sweden to Silicon: Bitcoin's Global Journey

Check out our latest episode where we announce a new supporter, Heatbit; as well as announce the first 256 Foundation grant project, Ember One.

You can also find this episode in your favorite podcasting app: https://www.pod256.org/episodepage/057-from-sweden-to-silicon-bitcoins-global-journey
2024-11-11T19:51:26Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqs2lvvttf29wav0jq8ln882ytva0zvnc3k84cemd7hnukh6s9gff2qzyq9a42ngn7fjwy8uafqxmd53yrumr0ngym28wqv80nhs2l5uszh8yk3mmgl POD256 is changing from a weekly to a monthly cadence.
