2025-09-01T00:23:15Z

Tonight, my husband Scott and I went to Steak ’n Shake after our Bitcoin meetup, where we had a robust discussion about businesses accepting Bitcoin as a currency—a method of payment.

We walked in with excitement, ready to try their Lightning payment option.

No one greeted us—just a sign pointing us to a kiosk.

Fine, we weren’t deterred. We followed the instructions, carefully placed our order, and even snapped a photo as we gleefully paid with Bitcoin.

We filled our own drinks and sat down, noticing the table next to us piled with dirty dishes. The floor was dirty and slightly sticky.

Behind the counter, one lonely woman was cooking ten burgers at a time. She moved slower than a sloth and was clearly not well.

Twenty-five long minutes later—without a single employee ever coming out of the kitchen—we started to get antsy. I almost walked out and counted it a total loss.

Finally, our name was lazily and quietly called. Cold burgers. Stale fries. It’s an understatement to say I won’t be going back, no matter what signs they put up about accepting Bitcoin or beef tallow fries.

The bottom line: while we look forward to the day Bitcoin is used widely as a currency, right now it too often feels like a marketing gimmick—when what businesses really need to work on is the customer experience.

Technology is only as strong as the customer experience it supports.

✨ Orange Hatter Reading Club kicked off again last night after our summer break!

💓 It was such a joy reconnecting with familiar faces and welcoming new ones.

We spent time catching up on each other’s lives before diving into Chapters 1 & 2 of The Great Harvest by Adam Livingston.

Our conversation went deep. One highlight was Livingston’s point about the “dissemination” of jobs and careers—how something once unique and abstract gets broken down into repeatable and reproducible tasks easily performed by AI.

From there, our lively discussion asked:

⁉️ Is it necessarily bad if the rote parts of a job can be replaced by robots?
⁉️ Are teachers essential for learning, or can technology fill that role?

As always, the dialogue was robust yet respectful. We challenged each other—and ourselves—and everyone walked away with new perspectives.

If thoughtful conversation and community sound like your kind of evening, we’d love for you to join us! 📚

💛 Character + Bitcoin → Better World

Before you orange-pill your kid, steel their spine.

Because the moment you tell them about Bitcoin, you set them apart.

That’s the message I had the honor of sharing this week at Bitcoin Alaska—a gathering of minds and hearts that left me deeply inspired and incredibly grateful.

Many Bitcoiners feel the urgency to teach kids about Bitcoin by helping them set up a wallet and send their first sats.

But I believe character is the first hardware wallet we should set up for our kids—because it’s cold storage for courage, kindness, honesty, and grit.

✨ With strong character, kids can resist social hacking, get-rich-quick schemes, and conformity pressure.

✨ With a foundation of inner strength, when our kids finally hold Bitcoin, they won’t use it to run away from the world—they’ll use it to build something better.

Because fiat may be broken. And Bitcoin may be better.
But it’s still just a tool.
And 💡 every tool reflects the hand that holds it.

🧡 Let’s raise kids who not only understand the power of Bitcoin, but are also ready to use it with wisdom and virtue.

The Bitcoin Alaska conference was truly one of a kind.

Not only did Bitcoiners come together to share our passion for freedom tech—but we did it while surrounded by breathtaking wild Alaska! We saw

🌊 Glaciers and waterfalls,
🐋 Whales, seals, and bald eagles in their natural habitat, and ate
🍽️ Salmon… fresh out of the water and onto our plates!

🛶 And we had the profound privilege of learning about the culture of the Indigenous Tlingit people—even rowing together in one of their traditional canoes.

What an incredible privilege to have been part of this event!

Huge thanks to the amazing organizers and volunteers of the Bitcoin Alaska team—you created something truly unforgettable!

✨ Gratitude + Celebration ✨

We wrapped up our Orange Hatter Spring 2025 session in the best possible way—with a special visit from nprofile1qyf8wumn8ghj7ur4wfcxcetsv9njuetnqys8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnzd96xxmmfde3xzunrv4kx7mnp9eu8j7sqypqv3ps45u8syese8c5z9udaywvvrf7kcpl0rz4tgaw6a3ng8c5kxfywzwp (nprofile…wzwp) , author of The Big Print!

A heartfelt thank you to Larry, for generously sharing his time and wisdom with the Orange Hatter women this week.

After eight weeks of reading, reflecting, and discussing his book, our group of women came together for a private Zoom session where each person had the chance to speak directly with Larry and ask their own question.

We talked about everything from money literacy and Bitcoin to personal convictions—what it means to live with purpose, to stand for truth, and to bring financial understanding to the people around us.

It was a powerful reminder that education isn’t just about learning for ourselves—it’s about sharing what we’ve learned with our families, our communities, and our circles of influence.

This session was both a celebration of The Big Print and a beautiful close to our spring season of learning together.

We’re now heading into summer break and will resume in late August.

The Amish aren’t waiting for inflation to get worse.

Today, I had a conversation with a local nursery owner who's been running his business in the same location for decades. While we chatted at checkout, I mentioned that I teach Bitcoin.

That’s when he told me something surprising:

💥 His Amish supplier refused to accept U.S. dollars.💥

To pay for thousands of dollars worth of inventory, he had to go out and purchase silver coins.

The entire community trades in metal—not paper.

Think about that.

While most people are still trying to make sense of inflation, interest rates, or CBDCs...

Others are already living outside the system.

Quietly.

They’re not waiting for permission.

They’ve opted out.

A parallel economy is already here. The only question is: will you see it in time?

“Stop crying. Your tears are cheap.”

That’s what I heard growing up.

And no matter how deeply I wanted to parent differently, those words still found their way onto my lips during the hardest days.

Even with all the love in the world, we don’t rewrite generational patterns overnight.

But we can begin.

In this new post, I share one small 5-minute bedtime ritual that can help you shift the tone in your home.

It’s not a fix-all. It’s not a shortcut. But it’s powerful in its simplicity—and over time, it helped me build the kind of relationship with my kids that can withstand mistakes and keep connection alive.

If you’re a parent (or love someone who is), I invite you to read it. And if it resonates, share it with someone who needs a little hope today.

🌟 An Evening of Insight, Empowerment & Eye-Opening ...

🌟 An Evening of Insight, Empowerment & Eye-Opening Conversations with Matthew Lysiak. 🌟

Last night, the Orange Hatter Women’s Reading Club gathered for a special meet & greet with Matthew Lysiak, author of Fiat Food.

After spending two months studying the book, we had the chance to ask him questions, hear about his writing process, and most importantly—have a real, unfiltered conversation about the forces shaping our food choices.

What started as a casual discussion quickly turned into something deeper. We talked about how money shapes what generations believe is “healthy” food, how falsified studies and selective reporting have led entire populations to trust misleading narratives, and—perhaps most importantly—what it would take to break free from these long-held illusions, carefully crafted to keep people from seeing the true impact of inflation.

One of the most powerful takeaways of the night? Our discussion about dignity and personal agency in health.

For decades, we’ve been told by “experts” that our health is out of our hands—that it’s all genetics, predetermined diseases, or conditions beyond our control.

But here’s the truth: when people believe their choices don’t matter, they stop trying. They stop believing in their own ability to improve their health. And that’s exactly how the system keeps people dependent.

That’s why books like Fiat Food by Matthew Lysiak and saifedean (nprofile…6g5h) matter—because they empower us with knowledge and help us reclaim what’s been taken away: the belief that our choices do make a difference.

The evening was filled with great insights, honest reflections, and some powerful “aha” moments.

If you haven’t joined us yet, this is your chance!

New on Substack: The One Parenting Shift That Stops Power Struggles Before They Start

Ever found yourself locked in a power struggle with your child over something as small as spilled milk? 🍶

I recently published an article that explores how a simple shift in perspective can transform these everyday moments from conflict to connection.

💡 In this article, you’ll discover:

✅ Why our assumptions about our child’s behavior shape our reactions—and the outcome.

✅ A personal story about the day my 3-year-old tried to be “helpful” with a permanent marker… all over my favorite pillowcase. 😳

✅ How to replace frustration with empathy—and create positive chain reactions.

Parenting isn’t about perfection—it’s about perspective.

Can We Really Trust Nutrition Science? 🍽️💰 We had another ...

Can We Really Trust Nutrition Science? 🍽️💰

We had another great Orange Hatter Book Club meeting Wednesday night, digging into Chapters 4, 5, and 6 of Fiat Food by Matthew Lysiak and saifedean (nprofile…6g5h)

One big takeaway?

Marketing has a way of shaping what we believe—especially when it comes wrapped in "studies."

But how much of that research is independent?

💡 Follow the Money: Millions of dollars flow into academic conferences and nutrition research—mostly from companies with a vested interest in the outcome.

So that raises a couple of big questions:

1️⃣ Which studies even get funded? If a research proposal doesn’t align with a sponsor’s agenda, does it ever see the light of day?

2️⃣ How does future funding impact results? When a researcher’s career depends on grants, is there pressure to find results that keep the money flowing?

This led us to a deeper discussion about trust. 🤨

With so much marketing and industry influence, how do we know what to believe when it comes to our health ⁉️

🩺 A surprising moment:

Two doctors in our group shared that in all of medical school, they had maybe a couple of hours of nutrition education. Yet, they were expected to give dietary advice with authority. Both have since left traditional medicine to pursue alternative healthcare paths.

What do you think?

Have you ever changed your mind about a "common knowledge" belief after following the money?

This book—and these conversations—are making us think differently about what we consume, both in food and information.

In my post, I was referencing Fiat Food by Matthew Lysiak, who explores this topic and cites his sources. While I can’t personally verify every historical detail, I found his perspective thought-provoking and worth considering.

At the end of the day, that’s what Orange Hatter discussions are about—recognizing that so-called “authorities” don’t always have our best interests at heart. Many of us have seen people we care about suffer greatly, even after following EXACTLY what the “experts” recommended.

That’s why we aim to think critically, ask questions, and navigate conflicting opinions when it comes to health and well-being—especially for our families.

To me, history is a frame of reference, a tool for reflection.

It helps us step back, consider the bigger picture, and determine the best path forward in our own lives.

What’s Really in Your Breakfast Bowl?

Last week at our Orange Hatter meeting, we dug into Chapters 2 and 3 of Fiat Food by
Matthew Lydian
and
saifedean (npub1gdu…6nak)
.

Let me just say—what we learned about the history of cornflakes completely blew our minds.

Did you know that the Kellogg cereal many of us grew up associating with a "healthy breakfast" was originally designed as a purposefully bland food meant to curb carnal desires? I know, it sounds crazy.

Here’s the story:

John Harvey Kellogg, a devout Seventh-Day Adventist, and others within the movement believed that red meat was the root cause of carnal desires, including the urge to masturbate.

Their solution? A vegetarian, tasteless diet to suppress these urges.

The extent of their beliefs included horrific measures, like the mutilation of children's bodies and caging their sexual organs.

Over decades, the Adventists infiltrated government systems and schools under the guise of "diet and nutrition education," fundamentally shaping U.S. food policies to reflect their vision of an anti-masturbatorial vegetarian utopia.

This whole thing isn’t just a bizarre piece of history—it’s a huge lesson in the power of influence and especially in the power of money.

None of us knew the cereal lining grocery store shelves was born of religious zealotry aimed at controlling human desires.

It’s a jaw-dropping example of how marketing and money can rewrite the narrative of a product and reshape public perception on a massive scale.

Think about it: with a smart marketing campaign, an entire nation was convinced to embrace a food product with a purpose most of us would never have imagined.

So, what else don’t we know about the food we eat?

If you’re curious, let’s keep the conversation going.

Join the Orange Hatter Reading Club by visiting http://orangehatter.com/reading-club.

This Wednesday night at 8:30 PM EST, we’ll be diving into the next chapters.

Join us as we keep asking questions and learning together.

⁉️ Are We Accidentally Raising Our Kids to Be Lonely?

As parents, we all want to raise confident, kind kids who can navigate the world successfully. But are our parenting choices unintentionally making it harder for them to build meaningful relationships?

This is a delicate balance—teaching good manners without turning them into people-pleasers. And it’s one worth exploring, because both extremes—kids with no manners and kids who always comply—can lead to loneliness.

In my latest blog, I share a real-life story from my homeschooling co-op that highlights why this balance matters, the pitfalls of compliance, and how to equip kids with the skills they need to build their “village.”

Plus, I introduce the 7-Day Hero Journal Challenge—a simple way to help your child develop kindness, self-awareness, and compassion in just a few minutes each day.

This week’s Orange Hatter Reading Club meeting started off with some unexpected drama—our Zoom account was hacked by four teenage boys as a prank!

To keep our space safe, if you’d like to join, please send me a personal email confirming that you’re a woman and that you understand this is a Bitcoin-only space. (see below)

Despite the disruption, it was an incredible discussion about Chapters 2 and 3 of Fiat Food by Matthew Lysiak and saifedean (nprofile…6g5h) !

🌟 We kicked things off with the big news of Ross Ulbricht receiving a full and unconditional pardon. It sparked a lively debate about accountability and personal responsibility:

❓ Should the CEO of a knife company be held responsible if someone uses their product to stab someone?

❓ What about a spoon used in a drug- or alcohol-fueled crime? Should the CEOs of the spoon and alcohol manufacturers be arrested because they made the crime possible?

With a lawyer in the group, this discussion went deep!

We explored how these principles apply to Bitcoin innovators and programmers, questioning whether creators should be punished for the misuse of their platforms.

Then we turned to chapter 2 of the book, which unpacked the story of Ancel Keys—a man with no formal training in nutrition or cardiology who somehow secured a spot on the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Nutrition Committee.

Keys convinced the AHA to support his UNPROVEN theory that cholesterol causes heart disease.

Through the AHA’s influence and reputation, this theory became gospel for generations of doctors worldwide. As a result, millions of people were told to eat lean, avoid meat, and fear cholesterol—advice that fundamentally shaped diets and public health policies across the globe, despite lacking solid scientific backing.

One of our members is a doctor and shed light on this topic.

She explained that cholesterol plays a critical role in maintaining a healthy body—it’s essential for building cell membranes, producing sex hormones, and supporting the brain and nervous system.

She said, “Trying to lower cholesterol to prevent heart disease is like trying to stop a fire by getting rid of the firemen."

Cholesterol isn’t the cause of the problem—it’s the body’s response to poor diet and chronic inflammation and damage.”

Her insights were a powerful reminder of why it’s so important to question what we’ve been told and dig deeper into the science behind mainstream advice.

💕 This is why I love our club. We don’t just read books; we tackle tough topics, challenge assumptions, and grow together as a community of curious, driven women.

Have you ever thought, ‘Surely the monetary system isn’t designed to work against us—it’s just unintended consequences, right?’

That’s exactly what I used to believe…until I started reading deeper.

Last week in the Orange Hatter Reading Club, we explored Chapter 1 of Fiat Money by Matthewlysiak and saifedean (nprofile…jt2p) , and it has been nothing short of eye-opening.

I’ve always believed in human nature—the idea that people generally mean well and that most systemic issues are just byproducts of poor decisions, not intentional harm. But then I came across this quote from the book:

'Disguised under the veil of academia and monetary science, most of which being INDECIPHERABLE to the public, Keynes and his colleagues at the bank have demonstrated that, if needed, authorities could COVERTLY access the wealth of an entire nation through paper disguised as debt. Keynes wrote, "There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning the existing basis of society than to debauch [debase] the currency."’ (p. 20 and 23)

Could it be that what we have isn’t just a broken system but one intentionally designed to serve a few at the expense of many?

It’s not an easy question to sit with, but it’s exactly the kind of thing we dive into in this group.

Together, we’re peeling back the layers of monetary history and economics, challenging assumptions, and finding clarity in a system designed to confuse.

💬 Want to join the conversation?

We’re just getting started, and it’s already changing how we see the world.

Send me a message or drop a comment—I’d love to share more about the Orange Hatter Reading Club.

This isn’t just a book club—it’s a space to connect, learn, and start thinking differently about money and the systems shaping our lives.

Join us this Wednesday night for more thought-provoking discussions. 🌍✨

How do you stay healthy in a world where even doing everything ...

2025-01-17T21:48:52Z

How do you stay healthy in a world where even doing everything 'right' isn’t enough?

That was one of the deeply personal questions we talked about in our Orange Hatter Reading Club this week. 💛

This week, we kicked off our discussion of Fiat Money, by Matthew Lysiak and saifedean (npub1gdu…6nak) starting right from the Dedication.

It opens with the story of Gina—a woman who followed every piece of advice about her health. She ate lean, avoided red meat, watched her cholesterol, and even took medication. Despite doing everything 'right,' she tragically died behind the wheel from a heart attack.

It hit all of us hard because it’s an all-too-common story these days.

Everyone is asking, 'How can I really be healthy?'

It sets the tone for a conversation about how much of what we’re told—whether about health, money, or life—is influenced by narratives that don’t always serve us.

Our group is a mix of women from diverse backgrounds—an educator, a librarian, a social worker, an artist, a metaphysical practitioner, a doctor, a lawyer, a homeschooling mom, and more—spanning different age groups and geographic locations.

We started the meeting catching up, sharing laughs and updates, and connecting as friends before diving into current events and the book.

Even though we only covered up to Chapter 1, the conversations were already so rich!

One quote from the Foreword by Saifedean Ammous really stuck with us:

'...how much of modern economics is propaganda to justify inflation...'

It challenged us to think deeply about the world we live in.

This is what our reading club is about—coming together to discuss big ideas, ask honest questions, and explore topics that truly matter.

💬 If this resonates with you, why not join us next week?

We’d love to hear your perspective and connect over these thought-provoking discussions.

Whether you’re here for the books, the connections, or both, the Orange Hatter Reading Club is a place where women can learn, grow, and support each other.

Join us next week for another great conversation. 💡

💡💍Helping Your Wife See the Value of Bitcoin

Bitcoiner husbands, have you been struggling to help your wife understand the value of Bitcoin?

You’re not alone—this conversation can be tough, especially when it feels like you’re speaking two different languages.

Here’s the winning combination that’s worked for so many families:

1️⃣ Play HODL UP together as a family.

This isn’t just a game—it’s a fun, hands-on way to help your wife and kids grasp the big picture of Bitcoin without getting bogged down by fiat currency conversion rates or charts.

Here’s what one husband shared about his experience:

**"The first few minutes were rough to play with my wife and two kids under 11. But after the first halving, the light switch turned on in ALL OF THEM.

It was a moment I am still struggling to describe—I started tearing up because they seemed to get it. Especially my youngest, who asked in a frustrated way why the Bitcoin reward wasn’t more.

I was so impressed by how much they learned by the time we wrapped up the game. My wife was even more interested in our personal cold storage strategy. My kids better understood deflation and value as well. "**

2️⃣ Invite her to the Orange Hatter Women’s Reading Club.

In this cozy, women-led space, she’ll find a supportive community to ask honest questions, share insights, and discover the why behind Bitcoin—on her own terms.

🎯 Your next steps:

✅ Download the FREE 21-Bitcoin Lessons PDF to see what lessons HODL UP teaches at freemarketkids.com

✅ Encourage your wife to join the Orange Hatter Women’s Reading Club for empowering conversations in a safe environment. Our winter session kicks off tomorrow night. We'll be studying Fiat Food by @MatthewLysiak and saifedean (nprofile…jt2p) . Details at Orangehatter.com/reading-club

Bitcoin is about more than numbers—it’s about creating a stronger future for your family. Start the journey together. 🌟

🌟 The gender gap in Bitcoin is real. Here’s how we’re closing it. 🌟

When it comes to Bitcoin, women are significantly underrepresented. But the gap isn’t just about technology—it’s about education and community.

At Orange Hatter, we believe that empowering women with financial literacy creates ripple effects far beyond what we can see. That’s why our approach is tailored to women’s unique learning needs through our reading clubs, podcasts, mastermind groups, and storybooks.

Here’s an example:

One woman joined our Orange Hatter Reading Club with zero knowledge about Bitcoin. Through discussions, shared stories, and supportive community learning, she crossed the barrier of understanding that had once felt insurmountable.

Today, she’s using what she learned to teach financial literacy through her own online education program. She’s now reaching families and children, sharing knowledge that will shape their futures.

The ripple effect of her efforts will be invisible to us, but its impact will be powerful for the lives she touches.

This is why we do what we do—because when women succeed, entire families and communities benefit.

Are you ready to start your own journey?

💡 Join the Orange Hatter Reading Club now! 💡

We're kicking off the next session on January 15, 2025.

💡 Together, we can bridge the gap and build a stronger, financially empowered future.

🚨 How Do We Teach Our Kids About Bitcoin Without Framing the World as Broken? 🚨

As Bitcoin parents, we want to prepare our kids for the challenges of the world, but how we frame those lessons can shape their entire worldview.

Do we want them to feel hopeful, ready to spot fairness and opportunity? Or do we risk making them feel discouraged, filtering for unfairness everywhere they go?

In my latest article, I explore how a child’s worldview impacts everything they experience—and how the way we teach them about money, fairness, and resilience is one of the most important contributions we make as parents.

🚗 Life’s a Juggle, But We Made It Work: A Year (and four months) with Orange Hatter Women.

Picture this: one mom called in from the side of an ice rink, bundled up while her son played hockey. Another joined from a sunny beach, squeezing in some learning between vacation waves. And yet another, in a completely different time zone, was fighting to stay awake as the rest of us dove into deep discussions.

That’s been the heart of Orange Hatter Women since we started in August 2023—messy, chaotic, and beautiful.

We kicked things off with Bitcoin and the American Dream: The New Monetary Technology Transcending Our Political Divide

None of us really knew what we were doing, but we figured it out together, week by week.

Then we dove into Broken Money by LynAlden (npub1a2c…w83a). Let me tell you, this book was big. Over 40 weeks, we tackled it chapter by chapter. Talking it out made all the difference.

Next came The Hidden Cost of Money by sebbunney (npub1tm2…lpna). This one took us 11 weeks, and we capped it off with a special treat: Seb himself joined us to answer our questions. It was inspiring to connect directly with the author and ask him questions from the readings.

Of course, life didn’t pause. Crying babies, power outages, and inflation-induced tears all showed up. But so did we. Week after week, we leaned on each other, shared our stories, and grew together.

Now, as we head into 2025, we’re excited to start Fiat Food by Matthew Lysiak and saifedean (npub1gdu…6nak).

If you’ve been curious about Bitcoin, financial literacy, or just want to learn with a group of supportive women, this is your sign to join us. You don’t have to have it all together—none of us do.

📖 DM me or comment below. Let’s keep figuring this out together.

🌟 Teaching Our Kids Character, One Heroic Act At A Time 🌟

I recently shared my perspective on teaching respect when receiving a gift:

"Teach your children to look the person in the eyes and say, 'Thank you.'"

The parent replied, "Eye contact could make some kids uncomfortable, so parents shouldn’t force them to do it."

While I understand that sensitivity, I can’t help but wonder: If we coddle our children so much that they avoid basic social skills like looking someone in the eye, how can we expect them to develop the strength of character needed to take responsibility for something as important as holding their own Bitcoin?

This is why I firmly believe that Bitcoin education doesn’t start with teaching them about Bitcoin—it starts way earlier. 💡

In those formative years, when their character is being built, it’s crucial they develop a strong foundation of values, responsibility, and self-confidence.

What If Your Audience’s ‘Resistance’ Is Actually Your ...

2024-12-07T22:23:35Z

What If Your Audience’s ‘Resistance’ Is Actually Your Greatest Teaching Opportunity?

Ever stand in front of a group of blank stares and think, "Is it them or is it me?"

Here’s the twist: It’s neither.

The real magic happens when we stop playing the blame game and start asking the golden question:

"Am I speaking their language?"

Think about it:

• They're not disinterested – they’re disconnected.
• They're not unmotivated – they’re misunderstood.
• They're not difficult – they’re different.

The game-changer?

Meeting them where they are, not where we think they should be.

What if we transformed a "boring" economics lesson into a TikTok trend analysis?

Then supply and demand wouldn’t just be a theory – it would be a relevant, daily reality.

The secret sauce isn’t in WHAT we teach, but in HOW we bridge the gap between their world and ours.

🔥 Pro Tip: Before your next lesson, ask yourself:

"If I were in their shoes, would this matter to me?"

❓ What's your most successful strategy for connecting with a disconnected audience?

DAY 10: 10 Key Reasons Why Small Acts of Kindness Build Empowered, Confident Kids Ready for Bitcoin and Beyond

🌟 Day 10: A Kind Heart Leads to a Wealthy Mindset 🌟

Hey, parents! 🌟

In the world of Bitcoin, wealth isn’t just about accumulating money—it’s about developing the right mindset.

Bitcoin empowers individuals to think long-term, prioritize their values, and make decisions that build a solid foundation for the future.

The same is true when we teach our kids kindness.

By raising them with a mindset that values compassion, empathy, and helping others, we’re helping them build true wealth—a wealth of character and relationships. 💛

Just like Bitcoin encourages us to look beyond short-term gains, kindness helps our kids develop the mindset that will guide them through life, making them more prepared to navigate challenges and make smart, fulfilling decisions.

Kindness = True Wealth.

Let’s teach our kids that true wealth comes from the values we live by and the kindness we show. 🌍

Thanks for following this series!

🚨 "Just get a bigger loan." 🚨

That’s what my daughter heard from her college’s finance office when she discovered her tuition bill had quietly increased by $1,000 mid-year.

She had done everything right—worked hard and saved through the summer, budgeted meticulously, tracked every dollar, and planned ahead—only to have her careful calculations blindsided by rising costs.

When she questioned the change, the answer was casual, dismissive.

Her classmates? They shrugged, saying, “Oh, we didn’t notice.”

This moment captured a bigger issue:

💥 how often we’re taught to feel powerless in the face of rising costs, systemic issues, and economic hurdles. 💥

It reminds me of @sebbunney's discussions in The Hidden Cost of Money on learned helplessness—when people feel that no matter what they do, they can't change their circumstances.

But here’s the truth: we CAN change the status quo.

Knowledge is the first step, and when one person’s understanding grows, IT RIPPLES OUTWARD, creating movements and communities capable of transforming the future.

💬 Let’s talk about it.

Join the conversation at the Orange Hatter Reading Club as we uncover the why behind these issues, discuss empowering solutions, and build the knowledge to make a difference.

We are currently on holiday break but will pick back up in mid-January.

📅 When: Wednesday nights at 8:30 PM EST
🌐 Where: zoom (DM me or comment below for details.)

💡 Let’s turn frustration into action and helplessness into hope. Together, we can shift the narrative.

DAY 9: 10 Key Reasons Why Small Acts of Kindness Build Empowered, Confident Kids Ready for Bitcoin and Beyond

🌟 Day 9: Bitcoin Isn’t Just About Fairness—It’s About Joy 🌟

Hey, parents! 🌟

In the world of Bitcoin, the ultimate goal isn’t just fairness—it’s about freedom and joy.

Bitcoin empowers individuals to take control of their financial future and create a world where people can pursue happiness on their own terms.

The same goes for teaching kindness.

When we raise kids who practice kindness, we’re not just teaching them to be fair—we’re teaching them that true happiness comes from helping others and creating positive change. 🌍

Just like Bitcoin provides freedom to individuals, kindness creates joy by bringing people together, building stronger communities, and helping others thrive.

Kindness = Joy.

Let’s raise kids who understand the power of compassion and the joy that comes from making the world a better place. 💛

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s tip on how kindness builds confidence in our kids! 🙌

DAY 5: 10 Key Reasons Why Small Acts of Kindness Build Empowered, Confident Kids Ready for Bitcoin and Beyond

🌟 Day 5: Patience Starts with Little Acts 🌟

Today, we’re diving into patience—an essential skill for both life and money management.

Just like the best investments take time, small acts of kindness teach kids the value of patience.

Whether they’re waiting their turn, helping without expecting something in return, or practicing self-control, these actions build patience that will serve them in all areas of life, including making smart financial decisions.

Teaching patience early on through kindness helps kids develop the mindset that good things come with time—and it sets them up for success as they grow older.

Patience = Future success.

Let’s keep building this habit of kindness and watch them grow! 💛

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s tip on how kindness helps our kids build a stronger community! 🌍

💡 Money, Life Energy, and Illusions: What the Orange Hatter Reading Club Discussed 💡

Ever feel like you're putting in all the work, but inflation and taxes are draining your progress? Our reading club is tackling this head-on through The Hidden Cost of Money by sebbunney (npub1tm2…lpna), and the discussions have been eye-opening. Last night we covered the Forward, Preface, Introduction and Chapter 1.

🎢 One member shared a conversation with her son, who is fully invested in his work, calling it “Disneyland.” He’s pouring all his waking hours into the job, believing the payoff will be financial security. But what he doesn’t realize is that he’s living an illusion. Behind the beautiful facade, inflation is quietly siphoning away his life energy, making it harder for him to ever achieve the security he’s working so hard for.

💸 Another member expressed her growing frustration at how her hard-earned money is being stolen both covertly (through inflation) and overtly (through ever-increasing taxes). She can’t read without feeling the injustice of it all.

🧠 We also touched on the powerful idea that “you can only fix a problem if you know what the problem is.” And here’s a big one: absolutely EVERYTHING is downstream of money. When our purchasing power erodes, what’s really being stolen is our time—the very essence of our life energy.

These conversations transform how we see the world, money, and our lives.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re spinning your wheels or fighting against forces you can’t quite identify, this space is for you.
