I got the Forgot Password workflow working and, like a lot of things in software, it was way more complicated and took way more work than I was expecting 😄

I created an AWS account so I can use their Simple Email Service to actually send the emails for me and I've got that working. I'm pretty sure I've met all of their requirements and now I'm just waiting on them to reply and hopefully approve it for production instead of only working in the sandbox so that everyone, and not just me, can use the Forgot Password functionality.

Also added a Settings page where users can change their email address and display names whenever they want. And they can also change their passwords from there and I added a Delete Account option.

All of that is working now and all that's left before it goes on my resume is hooking up a single ad that I'm going to connect to her account, so hopefully it'll be the gift that keeps on giving. I created an account called Purses and Shoes and I'm hoping for a steady trickle.

And then just a few last minute tweaks of a couple spots that still look weird on mobile, but that will literally only take a few minutes.

At the risk of speaking a bit too soon, I think I might actually get it done today 🤞🏻🤘🏻😁

#WebDev #WebDevelopment #HTML #CSS #JavaScript #frontend #backend #fullstack 2026-09-11T15:56:10Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqqrqy6fhq2ps2sxvhtze4rkp8cshaglr5dlfy4aw3yufzq9hw6szyp3zrv6zklj5pwzpd8qegwc5hagu929nslx8ndcc2v94msucwv7a753t8tl In reply to nevent1q…z76x
_________________________

Can't wait to play 2026-09-10T13:28:27Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqqqw4tdd5nf6hmekfwy33w7dnzfkhxcw8dgu6qje5xl6796pd3gzyp3zrv6zklj5pwzpd8qegwc5hagu929nslx8ndcc2v94msucwv7a7zwdgeh I didn't even have to play even 5 minutes of the #FinalFantasy Resonance demo to know that I am going to get that game 😃

It says you can play the whole first chapter of the game in the demo and your progress will carry over to the full game if you want. So awesome, so intense, been a fan since I was a kid. But, the one and really only thing that bugs me about Dark Fate is that they put DIP switches inside a smart phone when Sarah asked "What are you doing?" and Grace said "Future shit". Seriously, DIP switches are not future shit. I had my first run-in with those when I was a kid screwing around with my uncle's garage door opener, which I screwed up without knowing what I was actually doing and then fixed, also without knowing what I was doing I just made them match again 2026-08-29T02:51:58Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqqrtl9cyglgfmmunq6t8aszcen9rd8kc5g9rc3gsmg9nstsetkczyp3zrv6zklj5pwzpd8qegwc5hagu929nslx8ndcc2v94msucwv7a7e9jjqa In reply to nevent1q…wfdf
_________________________

I'm not 83 yet, but I'm gonna have to remember that one 🤣 2026-08-28T22:59:03Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqq9zc63kdnsq5rfedy26rzlfrjz556gtftxhadfqt2l6uqmjyyczyp3zrv6zklj5pwzpd8qegwc5hagu929nslx8ndcc2v94msucwv7a7yg6n3a In reply to nevent1q…anzv
_________________________

There's really only one thing I can think of that the orange one who has already gotten away with everything would possibly be worried about 2026-08-28T17:50:52Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqqrtxhnwjgele9vkarkuekmcrexl0dz8hzerz3smlcly0k24a7szyp3zrv6zklj5pwzpd8qegwc5hagu929nslx8ndcc2v94msucwv7a7g5u8pr In reply to nevent1q…2lgw
_________________________

I went sledding as an adult and went off the ramp thinking the same thing and I broke a rib 😄 2026-08-28T00:55:17Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqqy3t6p4dmp6g595nq544an5p5hyw9rm77zse2x68mr84qak5tqzyp3zrv6zklj5pwzpd8qegwc5hagu929nslx8ndcc2v94msucwv7a7cgvg73 So weird that a buncha haters didn't find a very big audience 🤔

#gamer #gamestr #1047 2026-08-27T11:46:01Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqqqfgjujce6wf3npjsq039crzavv9lr36pxw5h8puxul8qlm3uczyp3zrv6zklj5pwzpd8qegwc5hagu929nslx8ndcc2v94msucwv7a79nlmeu In reply to nevent1q…xef7
_________________________

What is real? And this redrawing of the recipes that weren't there on page load is what broke the Like buttons. And I just noticed last night (and fixed) that it also broke the tooltips on the recipes that have been redrawn, and I am learning things about making webpages 🤔💡😀

#WebDev #WebDevelopment #HTML #CSS #JavaScript #FrontEnd 2026-06-15T15:17:48Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqq9ek8gmhjn9ypke4r04an7acd0fhce74hzndskz7njv9hnmxfczyp3zrv6zklj5pwzpd8qegwc5hagu929nslx8ndcc2v94msucwv7a7zjhjeg In reply to nevent1q…ru3m
_________________________

Okay, he does kinda sound like Bane, I mean you can tell that was the inspiration but not overly so. And Dragon Quest XI definitive, I started playing it when I had game pass but never finished and it is amazing so I also just put that one on my wishlist so I won't forget

And I agree about Metroid Dread. I have a lot of nostalgia for the original Metroid and Super Metroid, but I feel it's one game that loses something in the translation to a fully 3D world. Metroid Dread is a really great entry point for new players of the franchise imo, maybe the best 2026-06-11T15:09:49Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqqyyqrezx9c57fjvxujmytm20t74fp4dtuz85s7qkqjg3c6jhdqzyp3zrv6zklj5pwzpd8qegwc5hagu929nslx8ndcc2v94msucwv7a7xyu2dr In reply to nevent1q…nwjq
_________________________

Favorite Thor line:

We could've just walked 2026-06-11T05:07:44Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqq8hrrknh2a7v45wt7j65fzsakjhq3u068cpnfzfw5xm5czqqqqzyp3zrv6zklj5pwzpd8qegwc5hagu929nslx8ndcc2v94msucwv7a7adehz3 Okay I have 2 of these now so I thought it was time for a post.

Favorite Wong line:

"Did they work for you?"

Favorite Gamora line:

"You're not ugly"

#MCU #Marvel 2026-06-09T04:57:47Z https://njump.cloud.vinney.xyz/nevent1qqsqqqr82cwudmcyex26vsmtxvg8r0jvuww3el62ak8zfztuqd3xvyqzyp3zrv6zklj5pwzpd8qegwc5hagu929nslx8ndcc2v94msucwv7a7fx5zsk I noticed the Like buttons weren't showing on the recipes once they got redrawn as a search result and, whoooops, oh yeah, I forgot to add those.
