1) Simp for their ideas not for their personality. As soon as they start saying something like "BLAKE2b has won" or "there is nothing you can do about spam". 4) Any future proposal that does scaling but doesn't increase moneyness of the BLAKE2b or makes it harder to run the nodes then immediately NACK that proposal (even if you don't understand everything about the proposal)

5) Your arguments/proposals/tweets should give more priority to noderunners than future users of BLAKE2b since future users could be super normie/NPC compared to BLAKE2b noderunners.

Good bye to Bitcoin_To_The_Oblivion name. I am really going to miss this name but can't spend my scarce time talking about bitcoin anymore which has officially become just another CENTRALIZED SHITCOIN.

I would like to thank all those plebs who fought one of the most important wars in the history of the bitcoin. I can't thank you enough for the passion and dedication you have shown in the last 6-8 months.

I will either support PoW change hardfork (at best) or start treating bitcoin more like just another shitcoin/stonk (at worst). In fact, I might sell meaningful portion of my bitcoin in coming months/years if PoW change hardfork doesn't get proposed in the coming days/months.

That difference matters.

If arbitrary data storage is treated as a legitimate Bitcoin use case, the network becomes an obvious target. Attackers no longer need a costly 51% attack or legislation banning Bitcoin itself. Instead, they attack everything surrounding Bitcoin.

They target wallet developers.
They target node operators.
They target app stores.
They target exchanges.
They target infrastructure companies and miners.

Most importantly, they attack Bitcoin’s monetary narrative.

If Bitcoin becomes widely perceived as “a blockchain for storing arbitrary data,” governments will increasingly judge it by everything anyone chooses to publish forever. That dramatically expands Bitcoin’s regulatory attack surface while weakening its identity as neutral money.

Money derives much of its value from social coordination. Weakening that coordination weakens Bitcoin’s monetary premium.

This is why the social contract matters.

BIP-110 doesn’t eliminate arbitrary data forever. Nothing realistically can. But it restores an important norm: storing arbitrary data on Bitcoin is an abuse of the network, not one of its intended purposes.

Everything else BIP-110 achieves is secondary.

Yes, it would severely disrupt today’s inscriptions economy. Existing businesses could adapt, but they would have to rebuild from scratch on far shaky foundations. Every future project would need to ask itself whether Bitcoin is really the right platform if its business model depends on behavior the network deliberately refuses to support.

That uncertainty alone changes incentives.

Many discussions around BIP-110 get lost in technical details. But Bitcoin has never been governed by code alone.

Bitcoin is also governed by narratives.

That’s why influential figures like Saylor, Fink and a whole entourage of government sewer dwellers spend enormous effort trying to redefine what Bitcoin is. Digital credit instead of money, digital asset instead of a cryptocurrency, digital gold instead of a payment system. The dominant narrative can either make or break this protocol’s future.

If the dominant narrative shifts from “Bitcoin is money” to “Bitcoin is a general-purpose blockchain,” Bitcoin begins competing on entirely different terms - against platforms that were designed for exactly that purpose.

That is a battle Bitcoin should never choose to fight.

People often dismiss BIP-110 as irrelevant, unnecessary, or dead on arrival. Yet many of those same people invest extraordinary effort attacking it every single day.

3) 0.091% were bulk data-push scripts that did not use the dead-code method (no dead code but >50% of the bytes in the script were pushes of data larger than 80 bytes).

4) 0.018% can be classified as complex executable contracts (not data storage). Almost all of these are BitVM-like scripts.

5) Exactly one (1) of the complex scripts that were not data storage was a multisig using hundreds of OP_CHECKSIGADD.

In hindsight, we now have overwhelming evidence of how the raised 10KB Taproot script limit was used in practice. It was used for data storage. There was essentially no on-chain verifiable demand for enabling complex spending scripts that were not data storage.

And it isn't free. Every byte sits in the witness of a spend. It's downloaded, validated, and stored forever by every archival node, at the discounted witness rate that makes dumping it cheaper than real transactions.

Removing the cap enabled essentially no complex contracts (0.018%). It externalized a permanent storage-and-bandwidth cost onto everyone running Bitcoin.

And for what. For data-storage scripts that are 99.89% unexecutable dead-code branches.
