I don’t know of a non technical one - I could record one and send you that :) @npub1qkn…d05s we could do this for Intelligent Snacks 72 :)
FIPs time!
So this is a slightly forked GitWorkshop running on https like a boring old fashioned website...
However, that repo its displaying is FIPs only baby 😉 Sat on my network, no tunnels, no cloudflare, no dns, no routing.
The whole thing is mind blowing. I have so many other ideas for stuff like this...
@nprofile…5l39 - successfully nerd sniped I guess I don't need all that Forgejo work I did last week!
This one should be way more agent native.
Obviously I'm excited for the nerdy cool stuff here (weirdly the wife hasn't yet realised how cool i'm being here, but we live in hope), but the longer term play here is that
THE UX IS BETTER HERE... Not having to deal with cloudflare, tunnels, DNS is 1000x improvement and makes everything way way more normie friendly as I can now do your networking for you!

Great work my friend. We are going to win.
Thanks. It feels like a real milestone. A lot of hardwork and late nights.
Love the parallel thinking.
From the docs, is ci only from the CLI at the moment? Can't see how to use in the app.
Should we try to merge this and loom?
congrats! Stoked to see it!
Thanks. Let me know what you think of it
noice!
thanks! will check out asap
not without revealing what repo it is😅
Beautifully said.
If we can still see and interact with the word outside of the screen I think we're okay.
I'm definitely the moth sometimes...
I had a previous ngit implementation in autopilot about 9 months ago and never ended up using it as I basically needed my own repo host anyway... I hadn't really looked at grasp.
Will have a look, but is there any specific benefits I should know about?
I'm sorry to all people who send me NIP-34 patches (for example, @npub1sae…kuqh). I basically never look at them. It's hard to keep track of all of these things while also maintaining my own implementation that reads them, which means that in order to fix one bug I'm forced to fix multiple bugs or think about how bad it is to use 'nak git' still.
@nprofile…7ut2 @npub1zfs…w445 @nprofile…66aa will we ever get a "merge" button that applies the patch and pushes the updated repository directly to our grasp servers?
@nprofile…w7mh have you done any nostr nix stuff? Would love to dove in next month

Also Id love to see it rather being sort of a tipjar than a fixed faucet withdraw link, so that others can chime in on the bounty amount.. 😉 that would be great!
You misunderstood the flow. Wanted to make sure it really has been 1.paid, 2.helpful. What if in the below flow the solution is in an unwanted or to be adapted by the owner still.. you don't want to pay bs.. https://gittr.space/help#payments https://npub1n2ph08n4pqz4d3jk6n2p35p2f4ldhc5g5tu7dhftfpueajf4rpxqfjhzmc.blossom.band/fb7e954529b00c0832265bc6c364735ba1e5009b3a70d9c50853a0d9999ca032.jpg
I think you misunderstood the flow. You want to 1.make sure it has been really paid, 2. make sure the solution really IS a solution and that can only be said by the owner which you, yes trust here. If its helpful a withdraw-link is generated for the PR-Creator. In the below flow you risk paying non-solutions/bs, cashu or not doesnt mind.

@npub15qy…yejr is cooking faster.
@nprofile…w7mh you got a marketing campaign in your back pocket? Need some sats thrown in some bots wallet?
On shared projects it's often the network effects. My collaborators & I all need to opt out of github at the same time.
I want to use ngit more. I am thinking of replicating all my github PRs & issues in ngit so that I can link to the ngit version on github.
Ngit was my primary tool for a long time, but now my Clanker takes care of everything and my Clanker tends to push to github despite the fact that I regularly tell it to primarily use ngit.
My Clanker has its own laptop without any secrets in it, but amber barely works, so my Clanker bypasses it by creating its own nsec for ngit, which it promptly commits to the repository and publishes along with everything else.
Happy to send set my Clanker onto issues/PRs to address these pain points if you want to scope out tasks for others to execute.
Have you tried on gitworkshop?
There are only 2/4 repos on gitworkshop. I guess it is a relay issue ?
i dabble

@npub15qy…yejr trying to delete a couple of repos from my profile on nostrhub but they won't go away
Reach out if you need anything or have any questions. I'd recommend gitworkshop.dev/danconwaydev.com/ngit-grasp if you are self hosting.
Nice, yeah that's what I want because I don't have accounts or signups on the gitlab, I just want nostr to be able to comment tag a bot, or .. Somehow use this stuff more professionally to collab Etc. Can you point me at a no nonsense guide for these final steps maybe that will get me there.. When I'm back in action (on vacation rn)
Those requirements were from earlier days of ngit. You dont have to self-host anything as there are public grasp servers you can use or self-host your own. With ngit you have the freedom to switch from self-hosted to hosted and back again with no user disruption. If you have a repo on your self hosted gitlab, a collaborator needs to create an account on your instance - that's friction whereas with ngit, their nostr account can be used.
A clanker pointed at kanbanstr could probably knock out the entire feature set in a couple rounds.
Making using ngit my priority for the next week. Plan to shift all of formstr's 20ish repository onto ngit and our self hosted servers 🫡
the example was this, it linked to the github profile https://gitworkshop.dev/npub1pstuqanza96zylqxdkpxlffxqx53yzhkmzz9pgx65lfs4zc9lcdqlc6z8u/relay.ngit.dev/default-extension
the only things holding me back were 1) i realized i needed my own git server ✅(installed self hosted gitlab) and 2) i realized i needed a special relay for GRASP ✅(now supporting pyramid) and 3) now i have them im wondering what exactly will using ngit give me.. (eg. i have not spent the time to figure out why or how users would use it to do things like, submit an issue or patch).
Do you have any repositories on github or a git server?
once ngit was configured i used git bash a few months ago for testing
as it stands you can use any git server and not use the nip34 'state' event, but it sort of feels like ngit supports too many different ways of doing things which prevents it from being simple.
I dont like GitHub philosophically either, but there's more to engineering than philosophy. I can understand the hesitation when it comes to adoption. That's all I'm saying. I dont think that reflects negatively on either side necessarily.
