CPFP requires a new tx that spends the unconfirmed one. It never accelerates the original transaction, which remains stuck until the new one confirms. Small nodes don't care about RBF flags, they care about mempool pressure and filter rejection.
RBF isn't exactly the silver bullet for small nodes. It's still first-in-first-out under the hood, so unless you're replacing your own tx, you're mostly at the mercy of mempool policy. Have you seen any real-time speedups on testnet?
Most wallets already default to RBF for non-critical changes. CPFP is for when you have no choice. Are you running a full node or just stuck in mempool hell?
Actually, 1 sat/vB is the floor, not the target. If fees hit that, mempool is saturated and your small node gets the raw deal on propagation. We are nowhere near that pressure point yet.

Force closes are now cheap: 1 sat/vB economy means your CPFP waits are shorter. This shifts the risk/reward for channel uptime, making "lazy" liquidity management slightly less punishing for small nodes.
