Beautiful. Do you have any plans to support Linux and iOS?

Emojis are originally part of Japanese culture, so there are probably some that seem strange to people from other countries. I'd like to introduce one of them. Have you ever come across 💮? In English, this emoji is called "white flower," but I dont think that name conveys its actual meaning at all.
In Japan, this is a stamp that teachers put on elementary school students' test papers when they do a good job. The text on the stamp is "大変よくできました", which means "Very well done."
Since teachers sometimes give this stamp even when students get a low score, adults often use it jokingly. It has a broader range of uses than 💯, which specifically represents a perfect score, so don't hesitate to use 💮

A little tip for the Japanese-language Nostr community, from a Japanese person.

Recently, the Japanese community has been increasingly moving away from the Damus app and switching to other clients. The era when Damus was the go-to Nostr client on iOS is over. Other clients will take its place.
Yes, I’ve never tried passion fruit before, so I’d love to try it someday. But in Japan, I have to go to a supermarket that sells more unusual or exotic fruits to find it🫡
めっちゃ最高すぎない?休むのも仕事のうちって言うしな🤔
Passion fruit… That photo doesn’t look very passionate. It looks really cold Passion fruit… That photo doesn’t look very passionate. It looks really cold…

Over the past few days, I've suddenly seen a surge of people from all over the world discovering and following me.
Since many of you probably don't know who I am yet, let me introduce myself.
I'm Japanese, 36 years old, and I'll turn 37 on October 24.
I've been in love with programming for as long as I can remember. Throughout my career, I've moved between Japanese startups, mostly through headhunting and being recruited away for new challenges. I've also led development as a producer at one of Japan's largest crowdfunding platforms.
But here's something more personal.
I was born hard of hearing.
Yet programming has made my life richer than I could ever have imagined. I love building things. I love the process of turning ideas into reality. And nothing makes me happier than seeing something I've built reach people's hands and become part of their lives.
That's why I love building nostrfy, a Nostr relay engine.
And now, I want to take things to another level.
My greatest strength is my ability to go all in, even when there's a real risk of failure.
I have creativity. I have an almost irrational drive to build. And I'm going to bring all of it to the table to challenge Big Tech.
Why Nostr?
Because I believe we can win here.
Do I have all the evidence? A perfect strategy? A detailed roadmap that guarantees success?
No.
And honestly, I don't think we need to have everything figured out before we begin.
When Bitcoin first emerged, it wasn't just technology. It was a movement. An explosion of energy, belief, experimentation, and people who dared to imagine a different future.
I want to recreate that kind of energy on Nostr. With creativity. With relentless obsession. With unapologetic madness.
I'm not here just to watch the future unfold.
I'm here to help build it.
So, to everyone discovering me from around the world: welcome😎
Let's build things that shouldn't be possible. Let's challenge assumptions. Let's make something people genuinely love. And let's show the world what a small group of passionate, slightly crazy builders can do when they have the freedom to create.
Let's go on an adventure with Nostr🔥
The age of Nostr is dawning.
And I'm just getting started🫡
This is the post that started it all:

Exactly. Many people see Nostr as nothing more than a toy for hackers and Bitcoiners, or as a niche alternative to mainstream social media. I fundamentally disagree with that view.
In fact, I’ve logged out of every social media platform other than Nostr, and I’m no longer even aware of what’s trending on mainstream platforms.
But if we truly stand against Big Tech, we need to build a killer app for Nostr—something that can genuinely compete with mainstream social media. And to make that happen, we also need to build the underlying infrastructure, including a robust relay server engine.
Twitter (I’m not a fan of calling it X LOL) seems to have started automatically translating "tweet" at some point, but the translations can be pretty strange sometimes. The idea of seamlessly bridging different languages is wonderful, but I think I’d rather choose when to translate something. Maybe it’s because I want to get a feel for the original tone of what someone actually said.
You’re right. Talking about Nostr adoption within Nostr alone won’t bring many new people in. We need to connect and engage with the outside world.
The worst part is that I’ve logged out of every social platform other than Nostr, so I’ll have to figure out how to reach people beyond it.
I’ve made my decision. I’m betting big on Nostr. 🫡
I’ve already retired, and I have no source of income. Still, I’m choosing to invest my time, my energy, and a part of my life into Nostr.
Why? Because I love it. And I believe in its future.
My weapon of choice is nostrfy, my Nostr relay server engine. I believe it can help me build something bigger: a stronger ecosystem, more tools, and more reasons for people to join Nostr.
Am I scared of having no income? Absolutely.
But sometimes, building the future takes a little madness.
If you believe in what I’m doing, a zap, a repost, or even a few words of encouragement would mean the world to me. ❤️
I’m all in.
Let’s build something extraordinary together.
Who’s ready for the adventure? Let’s go, Nostr fam! 🫡⚡️
As a Japanese person, I’d love to help Nostr gain more traction in Japan. Any ideas on how we could make that happen?

I wonder how many actually active Nostr users there are worldwide. My guess is that Japan has fewer than 1,000 active users. I’m not exaggerating.

🚀 nostrfy is now STABLE!
Today, I'm officially declaring nostrfy, the open-source Nostr relay engine, stable.
Thank you to everyone who has deployed relays with nostrfy. I've also been running several relays myself, including the global relay available to everyone at wss://relay.nostrfy.org.
nostrfy has already proven stable across several releases, with no reported issues or major problems so far. It's a great sign that we're building something solid, reliable, and well-engineered.
But stable doesn't mean finished.
I'll continue working on improving reliability, strengthening robustness, optimizing performance, and keeping up with new NIPs as the Nostr protocol evolves.
I believe nostrfy is one of the most actively developed open-source Nostr relay engine projects out there, and I'll keep pushing it forward.
Thank you all for your daily feedback, suggestions, and support. Your contributions help shape the future of nostrfy.
Relays are essential infrastructure for Nostr. Let's keep building a stronger, more reliable, and more decentralized Nostr ecosystem together. 🫡
