test note PoW 22 bit(difficultly) from Dacci
LLM realy good at CAD design now, so it's quite possible to move into real world products now, but instead of 3d print, just get it produced for real in China. Thinking of tryging something with hardware as well. Should be able to design the boards too.

Very ugly for now since I have to use ShatGPT, but mostly functional:

You could have just googled this rage-bait, bro.
Sweden loaned the painting as part of their EU Presidency's attempt to exhibit Scandanavian culture.
It's not true. Those are examples of other paintings from the same artist, Lena Cronqvist. One of her paintings was hung in a temporary art exhibit in the EU Parlament in 2003.
Her art is all really ugly, tho. Very bad taste.
They can't transact if the state mines empty blocks. Their transactions are not immutable if the state does a massive reorg.
There's no point for asic developers to work on monero when the leadership can rug them by changing hash algo, making it unprofitable.
A state or central bank would do it if monero grew to Bitcoin levels and became an escape hatch from their slavery system.
It's always possible to accelerate math with function specific silicon, the market just doesn't bother for monero because the leadership tends to rotate the hash algo quite frequently.
A state actor or central bank wouldn't be producing monero asics to generate revenue though they'd be doing it to covertly perform a massive reorg or mine empty blocks.

"nobody uses nostr" and yet I can't keep up with all the new stuff going on with the protocol and all the new software being dropped every day and I do nostr dev full time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Do you remember which was the first client you used with google login?

Didn’t Block make some harness that allows for this?
Seems we are doing the same thing lol
for the mobile app or web ? @npub16vj…88a2 @npub19qc…7xw2
And it can easily be replicated with minor tweaks like other languages.
If you are making 3D assets in blender, user Opus 5.5. Chatgpt models are absolute shit at 3D sculpting. Somehow Opus 5.5 is not bad!
We’ve come a long way since Wallet of Satoshi was the standard.
No. But are you looking for purely an overlay network on top of the current internet or a new internet? FIPS was interesting to me because it at least claimed to be for replacing the current internet (by which I mean it is supposed to work on top of physical links), although now I see people treating it just as an overlay network like Tor, which is sad.
I had this idea a long time ago of how to connect and route between mesh networks potentially scaling through the entire globe, but I'm thinking here only about physical links and a new internet: #naddr1qq…smcd
I have no idea of how bad this idea is, because I couldn't find anyone to criticize it or any other idea to compare it to and I have zero experience with any of this.
As far as I know all the mesh networks in the world are sadly much less ambitious than I want: they're all happy to just be a local thing. And in some cases they clearly state that their routing algorithms don't scale at all (they're either based on a centralized supernode, or nodes flooding the network with packets, or on everybody keeping a routing table of the entire network locally).
Projects like Meshtastic are just a stupid psyop. They get people to be excited about a completely useless thing, thinking they are contributing to creating a new decentralized internet, and that their stupid toy is actually a step towards that, but in fact it can never be more than that toy.
What I wanted to see was an actual meshnet project that employed some routing algorithm capable of easily adapting to new nodes joining freely, but also adapting to a new mesh network being connected by some new node, and then some other mesh connects to that, and so on, until you're able to route a message to someone a thousand miles away.
I think my method above works, and it is not magic because it has this important tradeoff: you can't route only with keys, i.e. your address can't be just your key like all these other projects do, you also need route hints in the address. It's like using an nprofile instead of an npub.
My method needs a lot of flushing, though. All the details are unspecified. And it would probably not work with any existing base network software, as it wouldn't deal with IP addresses at all (addresses would be much bigger than even IPv6 can support). It also needs a name, then we would have to adapt TCP and UDP to work on top of it (the name is important so we can call it TCP/<name> thing). I also didn't think about the incentives for routing at all.
I used the word “normie” to a normie today and that was very confusing 😂

Small win today. I chair the policy committee on our local school board. It’s a political role. You have to balance things out.
We’re working through AI in education, with a blanket policy recommended by the legal group at the state school board association. It’s lawyer-heavy, with a lot of language about “generative AI” and such.
I want us to exercise our local autonomy, so I pushed for an AI committee. We got that moving. At least outline the tools already being used and try to keep up.
More impressive: I led a conversation with our student representatives a few weeks back, and they came back with a survey on how students are using AI. Mostly constructively. They took the initiative, and that matters.
The challenge is breaking through all the layers of the power dynamic. Students have something to teach us, but the system isn’t exactly built for that. I think that eventually corrects itself, but you can feel the system fighting the change.
I didn’t get us to agentic loops or Nostr yet 😂 But small influences are starting to take shape.
It’s important to lead in your community and take some responsibility for where things go. If we don’t, somebody who doesn’t know better will.
Small win. I’ll take it.
I could never figure it out!

I don’t need everyone on Nostr to like my memes. I really appreciate those of you who engage and have fun with them, who reciprocate the good hearted shitposting, and especially those of you who zap my memes. It blows my mind and never ceases to amaze me when people are willing to do that. What I don’t understand are the people who insist, because they dislike my memes, that I instead make content they will enjoy. Why not just move on? Or better yet, why not just make the content themselves? Maybe it’s a skill issue 😂🤷♂️
Pomegranate is pretty fast, and it doesn't require reliable relays. It is a single request to the single central server itself, which fakes as a relay but it's actually the server that does the signing (coordination) directly, and it responds with the signed event, so it doesn't use a lot of bandwidth either.
This seems reasonably straightforward and not to challenging to implement.
You shard your key in many parts and give it to semi-trusted operators to sign stuff in your behalf.
Later you need to be able to contact these operators to get their shards back so you can rebuild your key, or ask them to delete them. So you need an alternative authentication mechanism.
Doesn't have to be Google, as I said above, it can be any other method, but Google was easy enough to start with and would reach lots of people.
