I've been exclusively running my agents through @nprofile…radp master branch build.
It's great, I get to test all the latest features.
But occasionally we break master branch. Usually I can downgrade and keep working. But now we broke it in a database migration, so downgrades don't work either.
Thankfully I put 10+ agents on it before and some are still clankering.
Stuff like this reminds me of @nprofile…wwz8 "mistakes on mainnet are memorable."
I guess it's time to touch some grass anyhow.

I was thinking to do a bot that comments under people's notes with help on identifying the problem and offering a quick solution.
We won't, these are temporary specialist relays that are designed to work well with marmot messages only.
PSA:
Please put only 3-5 relays in your relay list.
If you have too many relays in your list, then everyone who wants to send you a note or read your notes has to connect to multiple relays and that consumes a lot of bandwidth and compute.
You will have a much better experience on Nostr if you decrease the number of relays in your lists. This is a very common issue we see for White Noise. People have 30 plus relays in their list, and things start to get really weird.
That is because apparently you have 20 relays in your inbox list. The recommended is to have 3. Because if you have many, then everyone who wants to get your notes needs to connect to a huge amount of relays, which wastes bandwidth and processing time. We have a limit of 16 right now in white noise, which is much more than the recommended. There is still the bug that we're failing hard, because maybe you have key packages on 16 of your 20 and we could get those. But still I would recommend you to decrease the number of relays in your list substantially.

You need to have at least one good relay in your Outbox and Inbox relay list that supports larger events and more concurrent connections. I'd recommend adding the White Noise relay in addition to the other existing relays that you have. Then things should work well. There was a bug that instead of adding it replaced. But that's fixed already.
Depends on the purpose of the group I guess, but less than 1000.
Still, even if there is a spy in the group, he might not collaborate with outside adversaries, who then would still be hindered by the encryption.
True, malicious insiders are only one potential adversary tho.
I'd still rather encrypt it on the wire than have it out in cleartext.
It's all about layers of defense, and protecting against different adversaries.
