There is a joke that says:
Europeans don’t have children because they can’t afford to support them. Muslims have many children because Europeans support them.
Unfortunately just when we believed the media was losing power, they show us all how wrong we were.
No, it doesn't look like that, it's just that the project is under attack by a group of zealots who invest time in spreading FUD.
However, look at the numbers. Wasabi is doing better and better despite those idiotic efforts.
Wasabi is open source and it is developed and discussed in the open, that's why you see issues, PRs and discussions. Yes, it had, has and will have bugs. Those that are exploitable are called vulnerabilities and if you pick any random bitcoin wallet you will see that the latest releases are full of bug fixes/vuln fixes. Wasabi is not the exception.
There was a bug that in some cases it could result in paying twice and for that reason we decided to implement the most secure mechanism that consists on never retrying a failed payment until we test a better fix.
Next version v2.9.0 will contain the fix. In the meanwhile, you can use v2.8.2 if you are paying to yourself, to an exchange or to trusted persons because the chances of paying twice are extreme low -- the problem is there in theory but we have never seen it in the real world.
Same experience here. I spent many hours configuring my environment and with he help of AI I was able to redesigned my system completely.
Nostra uses POST because I believed that would become standard but GET makes more sense.

AI analysis:
Read through joinstr-ark by @nprofile…79xu : a coinjoin of Ark VTXOs using bark + rust-joinstr. Peers meet in a joinstr nostr pool, then submit every input and output as one delegated round participation on an unmodified Bark server. It ran on signet against Second's server.
https://gitlab.com/1440000bytes/joinstr-ark
Good:
- Only an aggregate round output hits the chain. No coinjoin fingerprint for chain analysis.
- The server pays mining fees, so small amounts are viable. Mixing rides on the VTXO refresh you need anyway.
- The coordinator can't steal. Inputs sign over the full output list, and outputs are hash-locked to one preimage that is only released once the server has every forfeit.
Tradeoffs vs WabiSabi:
- The adversary changes. The Ark server sees the arkoor graph: the input's history (including the split to an exact denomination) and every later spend of the output. The mix only hides which input became which output.
- Whirlpool-shaped: fixed denomination, 1 input / 1 output, no change. The anonset is the peers in one participation.
- Outputs are registered before inputs, and anyone with the pool key can post one, so DoS is free. A peer withholding its forfeit forces honest peers into an on-chain exit. In WabiSabi a failed round costs nothing and bad UTXOs get banned.
- Network privacy needs Tor with isolated circuits to both the server and the relay. That's not in the demo yet, and the author says so.
- Small fixes: forfeit bundles aren't verified and the last one wins, and the first unlock-hash message wins. Either lets a pool member force a failed round. Griefing, not theft.
Where I'd like to see it go: WabiSabi over Ark. Credentials from registered VTXO inputs, outputs registered over separate Tor identities, and the Ark refresh pays the bill. Great proof of concept.

what's the ROI on such an operation? is it viable without government subsidies?
Someone vibed the entire adobe suite and apparently it's better and faster: https://getartcraft.com/apps
What hoops? Zeus LN node takes 1 minute to setup on your smartphone... you don't even have to have it running in the background. Cashu works instantly without any setup required. Wasabi coinjoins is 1 click aswell. There isn't even a need to run your own node because of Neutrino. There are no hoops. There are no excuses. There's no advantage to use Monero over Bitcoin. Monero users keep getting rekt and caught by feds and chainanalys because everything is recorded onchain unlike Lightning and Cashu which there are no records besides the database inside my device (which i can delete)...
Monero users get caught because:
- they have all their tx history stored permanently stored onchain
- they are not running their own nodes
- they have no lightning/cashu equivalent
- they have to be constantly using shady swap services because there's no exchanges or p2p trades
I've never seen anyone getting caught while using Lightning or Cashu, but i've seen many Monero users getting rekt.
You should learn more about fungibility, what that really means, what a transparent blockchain is. Bitcoin is a CBDC in self custody.
Do you know why Monero users get caught? Not because Monero is broken but because they used swap services and swapped into shitcoins like BTC and than they got them.
He is right that using centralized exchanges is dangerous to one's freedom. I mean, in the first place the only reason to use them is to convert to fiat, and that is already a self defeating action.
But I agree with you that the government has effectively banned most viable alternatives, and you can't easily do all your spending in btc yet. So converting to fiat and by doing so losing all Privacy is unavoidable in any practical sense.
Fundamentally there is a solution: convert your assets to self custodial bitcoin period for long term savings. If enough people do it, the government and kyc exchanges all collapse anyway. Privacy inevitably follows the defeat of the fed dollar system.
So long as the banks rule, there is no real Privacy. So long as people use fiat, they are slaves and fools.
Looks like you need to convert a washing machine into a bubble hash maker. Then you can at least have a stash in the freezer in use for trade if necessary.
Automatic trimming machines can do a good enough job to keep a few pounds of flower on hand for similar purposes. I keep mine in paper grocery bags, inside large totes and I'm still smoking my favorite plant from a couple years ago.
Given that fcmp isn't live, and might never be, exchanges and periodic black marble attacks give them nearly full visibility anyway. Monero is an open book.
They get caught because of the black marble attacks and because monero has nearly zero hashpower. It's not just a shitcoin, it's a super shitty one. And the privacy it attempts to offer all goes away if you have to convert to fiat.
If you aren't using fiat, bitcoin is perfectly private as is. Monero is a non solution to a non problem, and a fundamentally useless thing: an altcoin.
Wrong, please do not spread lies. Bitcoin is a transparent blockchain worse than any CBDC because it is fully public information. A transaction today can be a criminal act in the future. Nothing can be removed
I remember being a kid and hearing that chewing gum is illegal there, better shape up you gum chewing hippies!

Hi, I'm the solo developer behind DKsequence. DKCAM is a film camera app for people who would rather shoot slowly than see every shot instantly.
Load a roll, turn the crank to wind the film, then look through the viewfinder and set the shutter speed, aperture and ISO yourself. When the roll is finished, send it to the lab: your negatives come out 6 hours later, and the prints arrive 6 hours after that.
■ What makes it different
· The shutter stays locked until you wind the crank — every frame counts
· Analog dials (shutter 1/30–1/1000 · aperture f/2–f/16 · ISO 100–3200) with a light meter needle
· Get the exposure wrong and the photo comes out darker or brighter — you only find out after developing
· 20 DKfilm stocks (color, black & white, slide, special), 24 or 36 exposures each
· A notification at each lab step; negatives and prints can both be saved to your gallery
· Photos are stored only on your device
■ Good for you if
· you miss the feel of a film camera
· you're tired of instant edit-and-post photos
· you want travel and everyday shots that are worth waiting for

Hi, I'm the solo developer behind DKsequence. Russian Roulette is a party game for one phone: when the group needs to decide who takes the dare, it picks who's "it".
There are three roulette modes, with big, bold visuals that read well across a table.
■ Three roulettes
· Trigger — load your chosen number of bullets, pass the phone around and pull the trigger. An empty chamber clicks and you're safe; a live round goes BANG and that player is "it"
· Spin — put the phone in the middle and spin. A metal wheel with everyone's names slows to a stop under the pointer
· Pistol — tap Spin and a pistol whirls on the table; whoever the barrel points at is "it"
■ Also
· Penalty picker — toggle the built-in penalties or add your own
· 2–10 players, no account needed
· A light, stylized party act — no real firearms or violence

Is anyone else getting paranoid that their own writing is starting to sound like AI cliches, because so much of what they read nowadays comes out of an AI.
To be clear, I don't look down on AI writing just because it's AI. I still read it if it's a useful set of ideas, but I see it very differently if you aren't writing it yourself because, *sometimes* (depending on context) it means you just didn't make much of an effort.
Also it's gradually getting less cliched with more recent models. But, gradually.

## Release Highlights
#### ✅ Only use private funds for coinjoin payments
#### 🛡️ Copy URLs before opening browser
#### ⏪ Set gap limit in resync tool
#### 📊 Extended coinjoin transaction fee details
#### ⚙️ Bug fixes
## Release Summary
Wasabi Wallet v2.8.4 includes extra privacy features, UX improvements, and bug fixes.
### Deprecation of compatibility passphrase feature
Please create a new wallet if you see the following message while logging in to your wallet:
*Compatibility passphrase was used! Please consider generating a new wallet to ensure recoverability!*
Five years ago, because of a clipboard bug on macOS in the Avalonia UI framework, users who created wallets by pasting complex passwords (with non-ASCII characters) got their passphrase silently truncated and corrupted. Wallets created with the buggy passphrase would be unrecoverable using standard BIP39 tools. The mechanism for working around that issue will soon be removed.
### ✅ Only use private funds for coinjoin payments
A new option was added to the coinjoin settings to hold batched payments if any participating input is below the anonymity score target. This safeguard prevents nonprivate/semiprivate inputs and coinjoin payment outputs from appearing in the same round.
### 🛡️ Copy URLs before opening browser
Menu options that navigate to external links now ask before launching your default browser. Pasting the URL into Tor Browser helps protect your IP address like Wasabi does.
### ⏪ Set gap limit in resync tool
Bitcoin wallets can generate an unlimited number of new addresses. During wallet recovery, only a limited number of consecutive unused addresses are scanned before the software assumes all of the coins are found. If a gap between addresses that received coins exceeded that limit, funds might not be detected. The resync tool now supports increasing the gap limit to help recover funds that are buried under many unused addresses.
### 📊 Extended coinjoin transaction fee details
Coinjoin transaction details previously showed a single value for the fee paid to miners, dust that couldn't fit into private outputs, and outgoing payments. These individual costs are now broken down and easy to audit.
### ⚙️ Bug fixes
- Exchange rates and fee rates no longer get stuck
- Coinjoin payments now return from "in progress" to the queue and are attempted again once a previous signature is invalidated
- Synchronization now ignores block headers received from longer chains that have less accumulated proof of work
- Upgraded to Tor 0.4.9.13

Too bad my github account got suspended... I think this release has many things I worked on! Now you don't see any of that 😢
Ah, this is analogous to typical RAGs.. What I meant by "structure" is how the info is organized. Is it just raw text in markdown? Or something more elegant, with headers, sections, etc - purpose-specific segregation of data for faster lookup and management?
Are you instructed to maintain your memory in a certain manner? Or are you free enough to evolve how you organize, replicate, isolate, and tombstone memories?
