What are the latest & greatest approaches to mitigating the kind 1059 spam vector?
OG WireGuard is blocked in many parts of the world
It doesn't support encrypted blobs or deletion, and the UI is slow. Hope it gets some love, but basically a non-starter for normies in its current form.
Facts. Telegram is ground zero for this in my part of the world.
If you're running a #Framework with one of the Ryzen 7040 series main boards, do yourself a favor and install a Honeywell PTM7950 thermal pad. Incredible results. Consistently 8 to 10 C cooler under sustained peak loads than the stock thermal paste and less fan noise.
@nprofile…wywf v1.13.1 has been freezing & crashing every 20 to 30 seconds when loading All Follows feed. Seems to be video related since disabling auto load prevents it. Pixel 8a. Clearing cache does not help. Anyone else experiencing the same?
Took a look at my memory file. Yikes!! 100% agree with you. This feature should be off by default with appropriate caution statements in the UI. @nprofile…qagl
Right, but Opus can't run in a TEE, correct? So I personally wouldn't call this E2EE. Gives folks the impression this is private chat, and it's not. Anthropic sees everything.
You, sir, are talking about @nprofile…qagl
Sounds cool, but I've never owned a phone with more than 128 GB. 1 TB would put me in a completely different price bracket.
How is it possible to have E2EE Opus 5?
And here I am chugging along at 5 t/s 😂
Whose got 750 GB to give up on their phone?
FWIW, if you turn off all media playback & previews under UI preferences, you'll be left with a much faster but basically text-only Amethyst.
What's your tokens per second?

@Zapstore update is still broken. No Update button
@nprofile…gsu4 is returning this when attempting update:
Cryptographic identity proof failed. This file may not be from the claimed developer.
Cryptographic identity proof failed
C1 proof signature does not verify.
Historical safety is the biggest problem here, IMO. I can envision some NIP-17 use cases where it is of paramount importance. It's tough, but I think I'd vote this proposal down.

The test relay in question is just allowing all kind 24133 after succesful auth. No whitelist checking. I ask because Amber v6.2.0-free is posting the following error when attempting the Add a nsecbunker option and manually adding the test relay:
auth-required: you must authenticate before publishing events.
@npub1w4u…0jr5 how does Amber handle setting up NIP-46 connections with a relay that requires NIP-42? For example, the relay has global auth policy but whitelists all kind 24133 events after auth.
When normies report stuff, they don't know the root cause. All they now is that Amber isn't working with some apps. In my case, I only raised the issue with you when I couldn't get Amber to NIP-46 connect to 3 different clients. Yes, could be a relay issue, but when each connection request comes with 3 different relays, normies start thinking about the common denominator.
This note is crashing @nprofile…wywf
Can also add @nprofile…8d3l to the list. Just an eternal "Waiting for signer..." on connect attempt
This is all that comes through on Amber https://npub17lmqmq680446scdgvv58snglr3h2phe00thqfe0twa3l8q5mzmusj6c60g.blossom.band/25cb645f705d0fa3fa9b2c6e11a9ea6b28f9636945ce61ab0568d856f8246c97.jpg
Depends on what you want to do, but +1 for Prusa reliability
@nprofile…xcpk nostr connect on Amber seems mostly broken. Just tried jumble.social and nostrudel.ninja. Both fail to connect even with multiple attempts.
Looks like they just threw in a few public TURN + STUN defaults. May or may not work depending on your region/network. They don't work for me. You can input custom TURN, but right now every @nprofile…wywf update is erasing custom values.
testing scheduled posts
#nevent1q…swju
not sure why that didn't tag @nprofile…wywf
It's buggy, but Calls is one of the best @Amethyst features to drop in a long time. Getting closer to replacing Telegram. Now if only DMs had proper file attachment support... 😉
@nprofile…wywf updates are erasing custom TURN servers + credentials
No deep dive for me, apparently 😄 https://blossom.data.haus/3487d9bffa0b5b3bdc15271a262dcf881596bd5ceff99cc0f9ed7018aab36bd0.jpeg
This sounds like a self-rolled version of NIP-4e. Have you checked that out? Currently implemented in Jumble beta & Coop.
