Hosea is one of my favorite books in the Bible. Because it's so raw.
And I think it beautifully shows us the dance of emotion in God's heart as he balances justice and mercy. Which I see as sides of the same coin.
I trust the Father to balance mercy and justice in the way that he sees fit, but it softens my heart to know that he wants mercy so much.
He sent this message of grace through his prophet to his people 750 years before Jesus came.
But you and I are blessed to know that Jesus is the ultimate proof that God does not desire to condemn a single soul to hell.
