Probably because it would grant lower friction access to Nostr for one of the largest user groups in the world? I think they have like 2-3 billion accounts or something.

Take the guy's explanation as you will. After having tested it myself on a few things I'm not so sure i can confidently call bullshit on this being a one or two pass attempt without that much guidance. It is able to do some amazing stuff and its particularly good at videos it seems.

I didn’t prompt it but it came from twitter. The guy said he gave it sumo and a vision model account access too but supposedly this was with very little direction and it just spit this whole thing out.
I’ve had it edit one of my videos of only my recording and it did pretty damn good for a first run with no direction. I won’t use it, but I’m immediately placing it in my workflow for editing and building macros for the show.

I bring this up because I've had 2 really sh*t days in the last week😆
This morning was one of them 😅

2026-09-28 15:43:41 UTC

Whenever I'm having a real sh*t day, the two things that help me get my head right:
• Setting out to get one small win that has nothing to do with what i was planning to work on (change the stupid toilet paper holder that keeps getting loose and hanging down, hang the curtain rods i've been putting off for weeks, etc).
• Clean the room. Get rid of the boxes i needed to deal with forever. Take that box of random screws and bits and little tools that i didn't have a good place for and actually go through and organize them properly, throw away what doesn't fit into my system.
Inevitably ill get some sense of progress and I'll feel a little bit more capable of dealing with the forever failing or forever "next week" projects that span years and weigh on everything else i try to do. What's your process?

2026-09-27 16:35:40 UTC

There's no reason nor benefit for having an entire altcoin network running its own internal/circular security incentive structure just to have a list of keys or names for something. This could just as easily be done on bitcoin if all you needed was a hash of the canonical truth published somewhere reliable. But even then I still don't think that makes much sense.
Having an entirely separate blockchain for this, however, is like trying to use an excavator to carve a tiny wooden figurine. It's just not the tool for the job no matter how many individual pieces of it seem like they are relevant or similar. You don't need (or want) global consensus on all accounts and all keys and all networks. You want individual control and reliable syncing of state among those that care.

I'm not looking for a solution *for me.* I'm looking for a general solution to make the UX feel like the "sign in with apple" option and retain the general security and isolation of your core account keys.
My own remote signer works fine, I'm just never going to get my mom to do that.

I’m not talking about key rotation.
When I say delegation I mean “signing to approve other keys” so that client keys are ephemeral and specific to the client. In other words, my Nostr key only posts a list of attestation that say “these 10 keys are all me” same as I log into websites and say “these sessions are all mine” using cookies and account credentials.
I’m not saying that’s foolproof or not without trade offs. As I said, I’m happy to hear about alternatives and don’t know why you jumped to “why are you ignoring Frost” like I’m aware there is some perfect solution and pretending it doesn’t exist on purpose.
Specifically regarding frost, I’ve only loosely investigated it and how it could work with this UX issue. I thought of it as a different purpose tool but I think Max mentioned the same thing to me at one point but I haven’t had the time to get deep into it

I always have guests that someone somewhere has a problem with. As much as it would be nice if there was an easy way to figure out how to micro-please every last person’s preference at any particular time, trying to do so is a fool’s errand. I simply talk to people I like to talk to or want to hear thoughts from. I enjoyed chatting with Cory.
Glad you care enough to comment though and hope you still generally enjoy the show 🙏🏻

nice! That's a pretty clever UX solution. The reason i think that's not the long term fix is because it still means that every single app or client i test or even play with has the master key to destroy my entire network. If workstr is malicious, doesn't matter how safe the transfer is, I'm done.
Love the approach, but the master key transfer problem still has another painful layer that I think needs a more robust, long term solution.

2026-09-25 16:59:13 UTC

Testing a quick video i put together on the app I built for my own production workflow. I couldn't find any video editing and recording app that works like i think.... so I'm building it.
It will soon run with pearcore (peardrive engine) in the background on all platforms if anyone is interested. My plan is to have it so i can record a segment on my desktop, get up and walk outside and record a segment with my phone, edit it, then return to my desktop to record and finished it up. And recording and editing happen in the same interface, quickly jumping around and pausing to cut a bad take and continuing forward. Kinks to work out and pearcore needs some changes before it works on iOS, but i'm getting closer and closer to all of these apps I'm building working together seamlessly.
I hate how long its taking but its going to be dope when things finally start coming together.

I say this because I just went to desktop to post a video and realized I wasn’t signed in and then decided it wasn’t worth it and went on to other work.
I don’t have my nsec just lying around because I value the account and network… but because of that using this on all of my devices is both a pain and also unsafe to break out my private keys and copy paste them in a bunch of apps and web browsers.
#nevent1q…an5l

2026-09-25 16:45:29 UTC

Not being able to quickly and safely sign into another client or device is such a friction with Nostr. I really think it’s the most important problem to solve in the short and medium term. And I do *not* think remote signing with another device or running nsecbunker or having your phone find some trick to stay alive in the background to be a signer is the solution. They are clever and useful for some, but ultimately only a tiny, tiny minority will deal with those things.
I’ve thought for years we just need a key signing delegation. It’s the equivalent of session cookies online. The problem simply requires a robust and decentralized way to sync and share active “session keys” that can be safely and quickly revoked when needed.
I’m also not saying that’s an easy problem either. I’m simply saying I don’t see anyway we get the “web experience” but also the security of signed messages and not needing to trust the host or relay without it. I’d love to hear other ideas for it though. I’m working on what I described above right now though.

2026-09-21 17:55:45 UTC

- reply

We’re almost around to the point where my team and I have built our own generalized solution to this.
I’m currently sharing about 100k files between my MacBook and Linux machine and it took a QR code to connect them. The tool is agnostic to what is being shared and you can make your own custom protocol inside the “space” using the same messaging system for whatever you want to build. A bitcoin wallet shared among devices is a perfect application will we look at exploring (we don’t want to build the wallet, but we will happily apply it to someone else’s 😆)
We will see in the coming months where that goes because peardrive will need a bitcoin wallet pretty soon. So much to unlock when you put all the tools together. The future is gonna be lit

If you are using a Mk3 through the Q and didn't use a lot of dice rolls in generating your keys, consider it compromised and move to any quick location you can find. If you have another wallet without a coldcard, send it there, if you have a trusted exchange send it there temporarily, if you can create a quick software wallet send it there. Make sure all the normal process and backups are done carefully during this and then prepare for a better multisig setup for your replacement.
My tools i used with a couple of people and for myself when i couldn't remember which software i set up one of my CC keys with:
- connect CC to sparrow, import and it will find any and all related keys and balances. You can send from there to any new keys or non CC keys you have
- generate a new key or hell if you are limited just send it to a good exchange like river to get it out of harms way as quick as you can. You can get a better setup after you get it out of immediate danger

Imagine thinking that one achieves independence from a totalitarian ruler without paying some price for it?
No volatility, no risk, no days of losses, no period of stagnancy, no regulatory risk, no institutions fighting back. Just skipping through meadows and green candles and then throwing in the towel the moment the wind blows.
Bitcoin isn't about getting rich, if that's why you're here then you've lost the plot. Bitcoin is about not being beholden to the waste and corruption of a class of people who live off of monetary fraud. Bitcoin is about PROVING that they cannot dilute us for their wars, they cannot counterfeit for their subsidies, they cannot indebt us and our children and their children to get the lie of "free stuff" today.
Bitcoin is about independence and the risk and costs that come with it. We may get wealthy IF we achieve independence. But we will never get it asking for permission or waiting for green candles before even taking a stance.
Imagine if the American founders had said "we pledge our lives as long as we are comfortable, our fortunes as long as they only go up, and our sacred honor as long as we only benefit from this quest. Otherwise we apologize and ask the King's approval."
Some people may not understand that this is THE battle, and maybe they have no idea how or where they are paying for the corruption of their own society. But they are paying for it nonetheless. Bitcoin is the solution and it's not because its going to go up every day you hold it. Quite literally the opposite in fact. When we take away the power to dilute the money, we force them to come straight to our door with their guns and demand what we have earned directly.
Bitcoin's mission is to destroy the illusion that they are giving us something for free, and prove that the state is a system of violence and the central bank is a system of covert theft at an unheard of scale.
That is the purpose of this tool. It is *independence* through technological rebellion. Not wealth. It is *risking our wealth* for a chance at ending the era of central banking and infinite debts and a world where kids grow up with the poisonous and absurd notion that even as technology becomes more advanced and our capacity to produce grows exponentially, somehow everything still gets "naturally" more expensive and wealth becomes more concentrated.
Nothing could be further from the obvious truth. It is govt debt, the central bank money printer, and the counterfeit class that huddles around them like leeches that suffocate society of what would otherwise be stable and consistent growth in our general prosperity, time, and meaning.
If you are here only because of 50% returns and leave when it falls 25%... we are not the same.

That seems like a lot of work to demonstrate the obvious. 😆 I mean just off the top of my head I can see dozens of different motion and muscles that are activated, you have to actually picture the shape and flow of the letter and the word, predict the spacing of the words, etc - there’s numerous things that typing is explicitly supposed to be a shortcut for, thus those things wouldn’t be activated.
I guess I’m not trying to hate, but it seems a little “duh” to me, lol. And when it comes to remembering what you wrote vs typed, it also makes sense that you would retain it a little better when written specifically because tying it to a more intricate and explicit motion actually sets things into the mind more concretely. If every letter and word is different, there’s a lot of pathways being fired. When typing everything is just the same tap motion.

They say we issue debt from nothing because it “grows the economy” and it’s a “net benefit.”
Well… if we have 2% price inflation, it means the “net” is explicitly a loss. Otherwise stuff would be more affordable. 2% inflation means that the cost of explicitly out weighed the additional production, because the net result was clearly that things got 2% more expensive.
This is exactly why you can’t afford a house, you need 2 earners, and you have no time. You’ve been losing minimum 2% on net of living standard every year for decades.

There is no false mental model more destructive than the idea that prices are supposed increase over time.
All prices should fall if the economy is more productive. Indefinitely. It is literally only because trillions of dollars are counterfeited from nothing every year, and our time, living standards, home affordability, and critical resources get sucked out of the economy to pay for it that things get more expensive.
It is explicitly unnatural and it’s explicitly because we have fake money and a communist central bank at the lowest layer of our economic system.

Money literally IS a proof of work token. Its entire purpose is to only allow those who have created value, to consume it in proportional amount.
Money doesn’t even benefit society when it’s divorced from this. It can only be a token to transfer wealth *from* those who work for it, to those who counterfeit it. There’s no alternative.

There are bugs and vulnerabilities in everything. The internet is literally Swiss cheese.
The reason it’s easy for LLMs to find them isn’t because they are super human deep intelligence cyber security savants. It’s because they can take all the well known vulnerabilities and red/blue testing strategies on 1000x as much code at 1000x the rate as a typical human… and thus they find the holes in the Swiss cheese.
It’s purely about economics. It wasn’t worth paying for 1000s of hours of man hours to find and close every bug in every piece of software. But since exploiting them has just done 1000x and finding them has had the same speed up, we’re gonna see a wave of serious exploits, massive hacks, an probably an era of profound and constant patching at a rate we’ve never seen.
Buckle up. Gonna be fun. 😆

"Maybe the only antidote to this is to go on a fucking diet. Which means no more information, no more reading, no more socials, no more nothing. And to deliberately become hyper-ignorant to the point where you can rebalance your system and take the time to actually act on all of the knowledge that is up here."

This is the only real way adoption moves. It’s not commercial, it’s not through the stock market, it’s not even public.
It’s personal, individual, and it’s about trust and direct interaction. Monetary transitions are very slow but *extremely* powerful for this very reason. If it happens quickly, it could be undone quickly. Bitcoin is like a mountain.

It's an absolute absurdity that Pelosi isn't in prison for fraud and insider trading. And that our politicians who make a couple $100K a year are all worth tens of millions because they explicitly defraud the public to rob them of investment money through political manipulation.
It's theft. Outright and clear theft. In fact they likely *vote bills into law* BECAUSE they are great trading opportunities. There is a 0% chance that this doesn't happen constantly with such a huge incentive to do so.

Satoshi gave numerous hand-wavey responses to this problem because it simply was a seriously difficult problem. He also mentioned light silent verification, which we never developed a way to prove the whole cahin that way, only the presence of certain UTXOs.
Then it was literally the blockszie war itself that taught us that miners could be adversaries without desiring to kill bitcoin itself, but control decisions around it. In addition, Satoshi's entire corpus of conversation occurred at a time when there was *no separation* between nodes and miners. It was one piece of software. Huge pools where miners only hash and dont even run nodes or produce their own blocks, present a far more dangerous and critical lesson on the assumptions of miner risks and incentives.
To simply ignore everything we have learned and the huge shifts in software, hardware and infrastructure to pull a random comment from Satoshi where he just responds with "we can probably just make blocks bigger" as some gospel that decides all technical and future decisions around Bitcoin regardless of any and allevents and lessons int he future is just lazy, or dishonest.
Importantly I'm not calling you lazy or dishonest, I'm talking about those who grasp onto this as a tool to avoid any and all other conversation or exploration of the problem and its many, varied, trade off ridden solutions.
Respect that you recognize what you've heard and what you haven't explored. Regardless of whatever conclusion you reach in time.

There's a reason why BCHers will never argue the genuine debate and have to dishonestly frame it and latch onto weak conspiracies...
Because they can't. Their only hope is to make it look like the people who actually understood how Bitcoin worked, were just "bad guys." It's how they avoid addressing anything at all of substance on the issue.

Again, do you have any evidence of this at all? Or is this just something that you made up and attached to the fact that Epstein threw money at something?
Seriously you gotta stress test the narrative or you will just accept any nonsense that sounds like it's possible. Where does any correspondence, anywhere, suggest this? And where does it align on the timeline? Does it happen during the blocksize war? Is there any plan mentioned anywhere? Is there a single conversation talking about where to sow this division and how to do it? Give me one concrete conversation where the context is anything like the above. Then i'll entertain it.
But if the argument is that we have to ignore all basic technical arguments, and then imagine conversations that never happened and intentions that were never indicated anywhere... then i don't know what to tell you other than to address any point or answer any basic question i brought up in the videos with something that isn't a "maybe it happened like this."

Interesting, maybe I should just drop it as a single video. I thought breaking it up would be better but maybe just a 25 minute video is what I should’ve done. I’ll put it together for YouTube and maybe repost on here and X.

PART 7/7
So What Questions Are We Left With?
If you want to skip the rest of it, these are the important questions to understand the connection between Epstein, his investments, his opinions, his knowledge, and his correspondence with those in the space, and how it all relates to the blocksize war.
Why is every argument from Bcashers absent of any technical point and why do they *need* this to be a govt conspiracy?
Time to wrap it up and answer the question, Did Epstein Hijack Bitcoin?

PART 6/7
So Did Epstein Fund Small Blockers?
If this was in fact his plan, we would expect his investments to be focused on small blockers. We would expect an adversarial relationship with people on the opposing side.
Did the developers funded by MIT push hard for small blocks?
Did his investments and attention go toward small block supporting companies?
Is there another story as to who was really trying to Hijack Bitcoin?

PART 5/7
How Does it All Stand Up Against the Timeline?
If this was all a big plan to take over Bitcoin and the entire war was orchestrated, how do their emails and correspondence line up?
Where can we find out what Epstein's opinion about any of these issues were?
How much did Epstein know about Bitcoin and what was needed to hijack it?

PART 4/7
Did Adam Back go to Epstein's Island?
If so, can we determine if this means he and Austin Hill were compromised? That Epstein had them on a leash and that the purpose of this was to gain control over Blockstream and trap Bitcoin onto a small block, unscalable path?

Did Blockstream really hijack Bitcoin so they could control Lightning and Liquid and be the dominate middlemen of the entire ecosystem? If so, how did it work out?

PART 2/7
What was the Blocksize War really about?
(and why couldn't we reach agreement to just "make it bigger?")
This is the nerdy stuff, but important to actually understand the history of all this - especially with the nonsense one will get from Bcashers on what the debate even was.
If you want to skip this, then just jump to the last 30 seconds. One common bcasher claim is that there was always consensus on making the blocks bigger and scaling limits were a completely made up issue. It's worth noting where the debate about scaling bitcoin truly began.

2026-03-23 19:17:55 UTC

Did Jeffrey Epstein hijack Bitcoin?
PART 1/7
This theory has been making the rounds lately - the Bcashers have been veritably drooling over it since the DOJ dump.
It's time to actually go point by point and see if this actually lines up and if there is a real connection between Epstein and the blocksize war.
(I'm breaking this up to avoid one long video)
To kick it off, let's give the summary of what the conspiracy is, and its main evidence supporting it.
