Nogood

Had RP5 running bitcoin and Lightning node, used this with fulcrum server instead of electrumX; uptime 9 months with no hiccups.., the thing crashed and fulcrum db got corrupted.
Now I need to delete that db and redo all that syncing.

Vitalik just copy pasted Satoshis code, deleted some oarts and added some tweeks here and there. Why would anyone get a noble prize for it? Make no mistake, if anyone deserves a noble prize – it's Satoshi.

Bitcoin's creator made a wise choice for supply-audit design through immutable public ledger over 100% privacy at the expense of exploitable inflation bug. You can't have it all; there are trade-offs. Bitcoin can add privacy layers but it is integral that it maintains its supply-audit-design as its core design element. We know that privacy coins can't deliver the same supply-audit characteristics as the public ledger information is obscured and this opens up supply side risk arrays.

I am loving @nprofile…0pev, thank you for the amazing product.
You guys even have Bolt 12 offers but I can't seem to be able to pay to human-readable address, only the QR or payment code.
Is this an issue on my side or this has not been implemented yet?

There's no room for centralization, even in day-to-day commerce. As long as one's bitcoin inflows are higher than its outflows, one can and will remain ahead.
A SoV narrative can't be taken seriously if there's no MoE quality that precedes it.

Currency, by definition, is state-backed.
Bitcoin is a MoE without it needing to be a currency, and that's the reason why it helps separate the state from the money issuance.

Are you sure a normie can't get a node up and running under 300 bucks? While it is true what the guy says, it largely depends on your risk profile.
Bitcoin is an uncorruptible public ledger, it is built with supply-audit-design in the heart of it. This requires you to follow certain rules to mitigate possible risk factors. If not, you are trusting someone to be honest. But we try to not place trust; we'd rather, verify.

Well, that's a nice thought but usually bitcoin bear markets last years and bull markets last few months so of your credit overdraft needs to be settled within months you will be paying more bitcoin than if you had bought fiat with your bitcoin and spent that. The stats indicate this is a bad idea unless you have credit overdraft that can be settled within years, which is obviously not the case here.

Why can't UTXOs scale at current stage? Is it linked to perceived high fees and dust UTXOs? What's the essence of the problem here? It is choosing between two poisons. And they make it seem like it's such an easy choice.
Why can't we have a choice that is not tied to either pro-west or pro-russian outcomes? Why are there no politicians that declare such course?
It is imperative for small nation states to declare their independence from having to take a side in this. Forcing to take sides is prevalent lately, even Switzerland was pressered to choose a side and jeopardize its neutrality.
