But the Lord is the true God;
he is the living God, the eternal King.
When he is angry, the earth trembles;
the nations cannot endure his wrath. - Jeremiah 10:10

Parametric design is logical and mathematical, (X,Y,Z axis); plus FreeCad allows you to define the motion or rotation of assets. Being open source means that tutorials, templates, textures and specific designs can be found online or created via LLM's.

FreeCad is the best open source 3D modeling app I've found so far, it is pure parametric design. If your AI can convert assets into parametric files, I believe that FreeCad would be a much powerful editor, with plenty tutorials online and compatible with 3D printing.

NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has revealed an ancient galaxy cluster with an unexpectedly dense concentration of dark matter, challenging theories about how the universe developed. The discovery also uncovered a surprising connection between scattered starlight and invisible dark matter that could transform how astronomers study the early cosmos. This image shows a distant galaxy cluster as it has been observed by NASA’s JWST. At over 10 billion light-years away, the cluster XLSSC 122 is the most distant known example of a cluster found to act as a strong gravitational lens, magnifying and distorting images of yet more distant galaxies behind it.

In their work, researchers at Harvard University and other institutions introduced the idea of quantum birthmarks, statistical traces of initial states and early development that persist in quantum systems that do not exchange information with their surroundings. They showed mathematically that evolving states in isolated quantum systems retain statistical traces of their past, limiting their ability to achieve the complete loss of memory expected in classically ergodic systems. They described these persistent traces of history as quantum birthmarks.

Dmitrii Vavilov at the University of Washington in Seattle and his colleagues analysed some of the first data collected by the Vera C. Rubin Observatory in Chile, which began a 10-year survey of the sky in June 2026. From a sample of more than 9000 asteroids, they measured the rotation of 260, based on a change in their brightness caused by the spinning asteroids’ irregular shapes. Of these, 66 were deemed to be super-fast rotators, spinning quickly enough to complete a rotation in less than 2.2 hours, a limit at which asteroids should no longer be able to hold themselves together under their own gravity.

Using spectral data from the Hobby-Eberly Telescope in Texas, astronomers have traced gas from the interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS, only the third object of its kind ever observed, out to more than 85,000 km from its nucleus. The data suggest the gas flows at about half the speed typical of solar system comets, and the spectrum shows unusually strong signals of iron and nickel.

Scientists in Vienna have achieved a major breakthrough in timekeeping by creating the world’s first self-stabilizing nuclear clock, a technology that could eventually surpass even the most precise atomic clocks. Instead of relying on electrons in atoms, the clock uses the tiny nuclei of thorium atoms, which are far less sensitive to outside disturbances. Researchers have demonstrated that it can operate steadily for more than 24 hours without intervention.

1,000 planets have been discovered with data from NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). The new additions also bring the archive's total confirmed planet count to 6,445. There are currently 4,823 TESS Project Candidates waiting to be confirmed, and data for more than 8,000 candidates have been uploaded to it's sister archive, the Exoplanet Follow-up Observing Program (ExoFOP). The following sky maps were created based on TESS observations from the first 96 sectors. Each pink dot is a TESS confirmed planet.

New fossils from South Africa are reshaping the story of early human evolution. Researchers have described 18 hominin fossils from Drimolen Cave, including an adult Homo erectus skull fragment dated to about 2 million years ago, supporting evidence that the species appeared in southern Africa roughly 200,000 years earlier than long thought. The finds also reveal that Paranthropus robustus, which lived alongside Homo erectus, was gradually evolving even larger teeth and stronger chewing muscles as the climate changed.

Have you tried running an agent in Ubuntu Terminal? I currently run Ollama in Terminal and I haven't had any limits on queries. I wanted an agent with no limits on queries, and this setup worked fine for me; Ollama also updates directly from the Terminal.

Varda Space Industries, a company that operates reentry spacecraft for pharmaceutical and hypersonics research applications, has raised $251 million as it prepares to launch three missions in the next month.
The company said W-8 will carry an interior payload from Canopy Aerospace & Defense to monitor the performance of the spacecraft’s heat shield during reentry, while the heat shield itself will test new thermal protection materials from the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Prometheus program and another undisclosed Defense Department partner.
W-9 will carry a navigation system inside the spacecraft provided by the Defense Department that will collect data during hypersonic flight. The heat shield will test next-generation composite materials from Syensqo.
Varda is also preparing to launch W-7 on a separate mission later in October. That mission will focus on pharmaceutical research, testing a new cancer medicine called PROTAC that shows promise but is difficult to formulate in ways the body can absorb effectively. Varda, which developed the pharmaceutical payload internally, will test whether the microgravity environment can help produce alternative crystal structures that are more effective.

Quantum teleportation breakthrough: Scientists crack a 25-year entanglement challenge. Scientists have developed and experimentally demonstrated a long-sought method for identifying W states, an important form of multi-photon quantum entanglement. The technique could make complex entangled systems much easier to measure, opening new possibilities for quantum teleportation, communication, and computing.

The ESA’s Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (Juice) skimmed the very outer edge of Earth’s atmosphere on 28 September, using the gravity of our home planet to alter its route to Jupiter using very little fuel. The flyby deflected Juice by an angle of 20° compared to its pre-flyby path and increased its velocity by 3.5 km/s. In the four weeks before the flyby, spacecraft operators only had to give Juice one tiny nudge (out of six opportunities set aside) to put it on exactly the right approach trajectory to make the most of Earth’s gravity. They have been tracking the spacecraft extra carefully since 17 August, and will continue to do so until 10 October. Juice’s closest approach was at 13:45 CEST (11:45 UTC) on 28 September. As Juice flew just 8640 km above the Indian Ocean, it snapped a series of images with its onboard monitoring cameras.

This is awesome stuff! I use various Python, 2D, and 3D design tools, and I've been looking for an open-source tool just like this (i.e., FreeCAD lets you build highly detailed objects but not entire worlds, while SketchUp lets you build entire worlds but falls short on object detail). I'll definitely test it out in depth and give you constructive feedback. Thank you so much for sharing the GitHub link.

Scientists have found strong observational evidence that a key part of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation has been weakening across a wide stretch of ocean for nearly two decades. The slowdown could eventually reshape weather patterns, rainfall, storms, winters, and coastal sea levels around the Atlantic. The study, led by researchers at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science, provides some of the clearest direct observational evidence so far that the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) is losing strength.
