@nprofile…4jyj @nprofile…88ve I keep meaning to create an account on one of those old computer forums like vogons or something- but I never get around to it. No doubt it's better than social media and adjacent sites for such things, but getting automatically marked as spam because of some forum system that doesn't work is about as appealing as getting jannied.

I miss the schizo autists who try to put deep lore into computer videos and the guys testing old ass servers in the bed of a pickup truck.

Honestly the doom and gloom over much tariffs is the least of my concerns given it'd still place most items under their Biden era price peaks and people seem to have some politically selective amnesia over that.
Much more bothered about the potential for us expansion being more than just trumpian negotiation tactics and pointlessly renaming the Gulf of Mexico

The Internet is probably the worst place to have identity issues. Seen far too many people go back on an identity/life choices they realized really wasn't them, only to get endlessly harassed by dipshits wanting to "hold them" to it.

@nprofile…nvyk @nprofile…cjhw @nprofile…m5h7 The thing with furries is anybody that doesn't adhere to a specific brand of leftist politics has to keep shit underground if they don't want to get barred from participating in half the fandom. It doesn't matter if you think Hitler is a bad dude or not, because they see everyone outside of their clique as a Nazi anyway, and spaces outside their control ending up having to deal with those types they largely see as proof of their paranoid beliefs.

@nprofile…paqn I've barely been paying attention to it because it's a retarded slap fight, but best I can tell it's something like this:
-People so used to SJW dipshits that they've now developed a similar complex of "shitting on the thing I like/not buying my game is censorship"
-dude who naively assumes the red pill ho isn't calling for censorship taking her side
-the #leader of altfurry collecting those sweet blue checkmark ragebux after the writing thing didn't work out

@nprofile…nvyk @nprofile…4jyj Ideally yeah you'd have to the source code for everything available and copyright couldn't fuck you over as much, but that's not the world we live in. Like, you don't see freetards insisting you only watch big buck bunny or 1920s silent films, so they're almost capable of getting it

2025-01-15 02:38:21 UTC

@nprofile…4jyj @nprofile…nvyk I bet even fully reverse engineered games are a step to far for freetard purists too.
They forget that older hardware/software typically wasn't really capable of the same sort of spying/telemetry that more modern stuff is- and freetardism on that front is more for ease of modification than muh security.
