no, i did not cut out junk food ENTIRELY, just daily. I still will have my junky snacks and meals from time to time. Life is all about balance!

190+ pounds in September 2025 ➜ 150 pounds in September 2026
No gym, or intense diets.
Simply walking at least 10k steps a day, cutting out junk food, and having joy in my heart.

My award winning poem:
"I Sing the Body Radioactive"
After “I Sing the Body Electric” by Walt Whitman.
Written entirely from the perspective of Coldwater Creek itself. As if a human entity.
For those unfamiliar with St. Louis’s environmental history, the creek became a dumping ground for radioactive waste stemming from Mallinckrodt’s uranium processing, a part of the Manhattan Project for the creation of the Nuclear Bomb. It’s a devastating, ongoing legacy that poisoned the watershed and generations of citizens.
Kids who grew up playing in that water have spent their adult lives fighting rare, aggressive cancers. Entire North County neighborhoods have been gutted by illness and premature death.

Suzanne Collins on how she came up with the idea for the Hunger Games “One night I’m sitting there flipping around and on one channel there’s a group of young people competing for, I don’t know, money maybe? And on the next, there’s a group of young people fighting an actual war. And I was tired, and the lines began to blur in this very unsettling way, and I thought of this story.”
Donald Sutherland on why he chose to play President Snow, and the impact he hopes it has on the youth. “I hope that they will take action because it's getting drastic in this country." Drone strikes. Corporate tax dodging. Racism. The Keystone oil pipeline. Denying food stamps to "starving Americans". It's all going to pot. "It's not right. It's not right."

My composition professor today was talking about Bitcoin (conversation about finances) and taught the class what fiat meant.
Since it’s the first week, we can’t really do much in class, so he took the time to speak to the class (full of 18/19 year olds, i’m the oldest😫) about how 401ks are a scam and how the monetary system is broken.
I was cheesing SO HARD when he brought up fiat & bitcoin. Best professor EVER.
Here’s the video he showed us today. https://youtu.be/nAHgr9dY9BU
