📰 WATTS, DRONES AND WRITE-OFFS: THE GRID REPRICES ITSELF
🗓️ 15.10.2026
🇾🇪 Houthis struck Aramco HQ in Riyadh; extensive damage confirmed, more attacks on oil facilities vowed.
🇺🇦 Ukraine resumed strikes on Russian refineries; Russia answered with 580 drones, 536 downed. Starlink restrictions crippled Ukrainian drones.
🛢️ Chevron CEO: oil buffers "drained". IEA: diesel squeeze lasts into 2027. US weighs easing shadow fleet sanctions to cut freight rates.
🤖 Microsoft shipped 1,413 patches; an AI built a $250k Chrome full-chain exploit in six days. Ukrainian strikes knocked out Russian data centers.
📉 CPI hit 3.7% on energy; BofA fined $1.2B; Dell fell 11%, CoreWeave panicked, global chip sell-off deepened.
🇺🇸 Trump rolled back fuel economy standards and moved to rescind approval of the operating Revolution Wind farm.
🇰🇪 Kenya confirmed a second Ebola case. 🇵🇰 A school roof collapse in Peshawar killed 33 — a legacy-infrastructure failure, not a plot.
⚡️ BREAKDOWN:
THE VALVE IS THE NEW THRONE
🛢️ Drones on Aramco and refineries are bids for physical chokepoints, not chaos. Whoever holds the valve sets the quota.
🛰️ Starlink throttling exposed the satellite grid as a lease with a kill switch. The frontend of partnership met the backend of ownership.
📉 CPI at 3.7% and the Dell-CoreWeave rout are the garbage collector taxing the periphery. Compute was sold as infinite; the ledger now audits it in watts.
The system reprices power in kilowatt-hours — the invoice arrives by drone. 💥
