I’ve played golf probably 15-20 times. Yesterday I had my first golf lesson. I’m so dumb for not doing it earlier. Complete game changer. The toughest part for me was even understanding the proper position and how you are even supposed to hit the irons. A had watched a few YouTube videos but in person is just different

It’s just like the first reference to a bf/gf on socials. As opposed to a hard launch where it would be like a photo. From my understanding

The sad thing is, even me, is like whatever I’ll just send it to my address. I assume actual usage is microscopic

I dont think having a seamless checkout experience is worse than prompting them to re-consider sending to their home address.
Btw totally agree with the fundamental problem of associating a physical address with something that indicates a decent amount of bitcoin. I just value easy, non-overwhelming processes new users. Bitkey, as always with these kind of things, has the best experience. The pickup point option and selling them at Best Buy. It just makes the option as easy as possible if someone is aware of the issue.

Surefire way to drop sales immediately. Can’t imagine the confusion/fear of 95% of people.

I’ve started posting my runs on Strava recently, for the first time in a few years. It’s funny to look back on past runs. There are glimpses into the different stages of my life as well as a completely different approach to going for runs. Some highlights were my first run uploaded in 2013 and my one and only marathon in 2015 where you can see exactly where the wall hit.

Giving up on “the devils” after 200 pages. It tried to be too witty and got old quick. Happy with my decision to finally move on rather than try to force my through. My friend recommended “fourth wing”, so will give that a try. Haven’t done any research on it, just bought it as soon as he recommended

Ironman world championship starting soon! I’ve never done a triathlon but one of my friends did this year and have been following all the pros this year. I find it more compelling than baseball/football for some reason. https://www.youtube.com/live/0i1FayL3Jyc

I see it differently. I think the most likely scenario is that they’ve both realized they are developing the most important thing of our generation. It is a fine line between developing too recklessly and too slowly, both will lead to failure. Who will be able to thread that needle or walk the line the best? They probably think themselves and based on past performance I tend to agree. Like if they put someone in charge who doesn’t think it’s going to destroy the world then maybe it will. And if they put someone in charge who puts too many guardrails the product will suck ass.

Yea I could 100% see it be the classic self serving regulatory moat or a marketing angle. But for me I was scared of how ai would play out before llms and I’ve been blown away about what they can do now. So I’m super dooper scared even if it is quite compartmentalized. If I was a ceo of one of those companies, I could see myself making the same comments. I really don’t know shit though 🤷‍♂️

I tend to think of your not at least 10% doom and gloom then you aren’t acknowledging how powerful ai currently is, how quickly we got here and how quickly it may advance. No one knows how this will play out. There are many different possible futures and some of them are not good for humanity. For the regular Joe like myself, i don’t think it’s productive to be “anti-ai” as a personality, in fact i try as much to embrace it because i know it’s an unstoppable technology. However im happy that there are a large number of employees at big ai companies that are scared shitless and trying to develop it safely. I think they are some of the smartest in the world and shouldn’t be lumped together with certain other fanatics that just happen to take on this cause.

Yea it’s the opposite of recovering lol. Was trying not to but felt the social benefits outweighing being too strict. On the other hand, it’s like how much of my run this morning did I nullify

2026-09-12 19:09:09 UTC

Woke up at 6am to go for a long run. Thought to myself, I better focus on recovering. Next thing you know I’m drinking beers. Sometimes you just gotta. Not too much. But sometimes

Read James islington’s hierarchy books 1 and 2. The first was a little too basic. Orphan boy is good at fighting and super smart then goes to magic school. It read like so many other stories but tickled me just enough to read book 2. That book was really cool and unique imo. Read both books quickly and would recommend. Excited for the third book to come out. Now going to read “the devils” by Joe Abercrombie
