Just finished another sailing trip. So far I've covered 1516 nautical miles in my boat. (As far as thr GPS tracker knows.) Feeling accomplished.

You gotta watch for people selling you dogshit on here. My top 3ish "trending" are all trying to sell you on a maritime. Don't get me wrong legacy social media sucks, bit they're not the ones posting thinly veiled "investor" information. I've heard more convincing time share pitches

If they've never committed a crime they shouldn't be in a database anyways. Arguably there shouldn't be one at all

Swapped an alternator on my boat engine. Plus a turtle I saw by the docks

This guy's views on free speech and monarchy are kinda fucked. Also he didn't explain how Islam in Afghanistan is different that Islam in Saudi Arabia

I switched to Linux last month and also started with Pop_OS. No mouse problems but it didn't like my game controller and had to do a similar fight. I switched to Bazzite and it's been seamless ever since. Fedora based.

The difference, Michael is while I WOULD tell my friends to buy bitcoin, I would NOT tell them to get a loan to buy more. I furthermore would NOT recommend them giving someone with an 800 credit score their money so they can get better terms on the loan. Pretending you're just another company that buys bitcoin and puts it on their balance sheet is nonsense. NOBODY invests in your company because they think you have a killer software business.

Idk, wouldn't surprise me if the etfs are producing paper bitcoin. Gold bugs have complained about that for decades at this point

I just don't like the idea of a small group of people choosing what gets zero knowledge proofed. That doesn't sound cool.
But TBH, I don't understand why the whole chain couldn't be zero knowledge proofed.
To be clear: that's not something I'm saying should be done, I just genuinely don't understand

Listen. I think immigration is a topic that doesn't get enough nuance.
But if you no knock an entire apartment building with a Blackhawk, you've crossed SEVERAL red lines of rights and liberty

I live on a boat! Have been on various sizes for 5 years.
The pros:
It forces you to live minimalist.
Sailing with friends!
Sailing far places.
Feeling self sufficient and prepared.
Cheaper than a house, if it's one or the other.
The cons:
Can be expensive if you're not handy.
If you ARE handy, they require a lot of work, especially in the beginning if you're buying used. (You should definitely buy used).
Depending on where you're docked it can be hard to sleep.
Little things like filling your water tank, getting a good shower, and doing your laundry are more cumbersome.
There's kind of a steep learning curve if you're new to boats, but remember!: When it comes to boats, it's almost a certainty that someone dumber than you has figured out how to do it.
I like it. I have no intention of buying a house anytime soon. Live free.
Oh PS: A great way to learn is go down to your local yacht club and ask to join the "beer can" races. You'll get to see a lot of different boats and talk to their owners about what they like/dislike about them. Bring beer.
