2026-10-12 04:24:19 UTC

Don’t worry about the technicality of Nostr at this point - there is so much available to learn and you can just take your time.
Obviously you know how to write a good story and that’s something that can’t be vibe coded. And that’s fine. If you do want to build something, there’s Shakespeare, and there’s plenty of information to be had on how to use it. But don’t feel like you’re in a rush. Just keep on writing and know that your work has value.
No it won’t get you a million “followers” but there are real folks here who enjoy a good story. Having a small audience of real people is unlike “social” media where your ideas are instantly lost in the shuffle unless you pay a monthly fee to buy your way into an algorithm.

One thing that’s unique about Nostr is its human-ness. I met @nprofile…xauv and a bunch of other people on here at the first Nostr Valley several years ago. It wasnt a stadium-sized event with thousands of vendors and whatnot; it was a few dozen real people that met at a restaurant and shared their experiences and ideas. The humanity and positivity was fantastic.

2026-10-12 04:06:19 UTC

@nprofile…kzp6 got a million or so “followers” on Nostr in a day or so, this was about 2 years ago if i remember correctly

This is fascinating stuff! I’m happy to see good writing here, there’s so much technical content on Nostr but, to be fair, most of the folks here are very technically savvy people that are working on a multitude of different projects.
My main advice in saying that is to encourage you not to be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information here.
Simply being here, showing up and posting solid writing is fantastic!

I hate working on stuff for a long time and having it sit around too, but practice is always good.
Regardless of whether you end up trading or selling any, everytime you draw or paint, youre getting better at it.
And its super easy to get a bunch of 2.5x3.5 inch pieces of paper cut/torn to size.
Plus you can do them in any media - paint, pen, pencil, anything you want.

2026-10-09 03:07:11 UTC

Anything’s good as far as I’m concerned! Trade ‘em, sell ‘em, whatever, as long as they’re the same size and can fit in top-load plastic sleeves for collecting.
My main goal is to get folks into making art at an accessible size and get into collecting physical cards from real people, not NFTs.

Can’t fire ‘em, they work for each other.

Can’t ban ‘em from renting, they build their own houses.
Can’t ban ‘em from military service, they don’t serve in the military.
Can’t take away their drivers licenses, they don’t drive.
Basically they already ARE outsiders. They’re fine being “not allowed” to be included in modern life.
