And now, on to the move... thank you liberdon for your many years of service to freedom and best of luck with the new user model! You deserve it!

Now all you have to do to watch youtube, is to pull in the rss you like in the usual way, then press "o" on the youtube rss link, and after a while the video will open in vlc instead of the website.

bad user interface. So how do you do it? Easy! First find the youtube challel_id. Go to your favourite channels, look at the source, and you'll find the channel_id.
Then add the following to your newsraft feeds file:
https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=UCEybzfsG2WI4Hnx5hpd2uRA < bind o exec ./yt2vlc.sh "%l"
The last pièce de résistance is the script yt2vlc.sh which looks like this:
#!/bin/bash
mapfile -t urls < <(yt-dlp -g "$1") ; vlc --no-video-title "${urls[0]}" --input-slave "${urls[1]}"
And there you go!

Alright... I'll finish my liberdon.com career with some light technical posting... and then I'll try and move over to alive.bar, and we'll see how long they will let a provocateur like me stay. ;)
But first... my regular readers know that my favourite rss reader for the moment is newsraft!
So today I integrate some youtube channels, and configures newsraft so that you get the videos from youtube through rss, and then, I can open the videos in vlc, so as not to have to suffer youtubes very

Yes, tried to create an account on the freedombits site, but I do see that one of the admin is anti-racist. Since I can be racist, if I feel like it, I suspect that I won't be long on that site. =/ It does seem like the free spaces are getting more and more rare.
I've also seen that many instance owners (naturally! I understand them.) sadly ban things or speech that is illegal in their jurisdiction. I understand, but I think it is sad.
On liberdon I have been able to say negro,

Dear fediverse, it seems like it is time for me to move to another instance due to my home instance moving to a membership model.
Can you recommend some good instances that have no restrictions on freedom of speech, and ideally, are located outside the EU?

Channeling those two aspects of life through a monopoly maintainted by violence (government) is what leads to the downfall of everyone, world wards, and destruction. You can see what socialism leads to in china and russia. Two excellent examples. Sweden is just a bit slower, but will reach this in time if nothing is changed.

In terms of inequality, that is a law of physics, and an inherent good. Harnessing inequality and instability through the tool of the market, is what universally, increases everyones standard of living and material welfare.

As for monopoly, markets is the only thing that prevents them. You've just committed another fallacy. The government is a monopoly, enforced by violence, and you like that. That means that you are not per

The modern experience is a degrading and humiliating experience. If I could, I would never fly again. Sadly modern life and work forces me to fly. I've been thinking about buying my own small propeller plane. That would enable me to travel shorter distances with some kind of human dignity.

Sweden is not a free country any more. Your bank account can be closed without due process and warning, if the government catches you saying "negro", or criticizing islam, or just if you happen to be close to a terrorist with your cell phone on.
The dangerous thing is that this system is so entrenched, that it is more or less impossible to change it politically.
So I always tell students and people who are interested to leave sweden. The worlds highest taxes, and one of the

Yep... this is yet another example of the destruction of sweden. Socialism, which has governed sweden for 75 years, is deeply authoritarian and anti-demcratic. Strömmer has been working hard at accelerating authoritarianism and surveillance in sweden, and now we are seeing the result.
The other day, the government choose to move forward with "limited" AI scanning of photage from video surveillance cameras, and this will naturally expand to become live 24/7.

Incorrect. Nobel prize 2024 proved that strong property rights is essential for rich nations. Reducing inequality goes counter to nobel prize winning economists and reduces material welfare in countries.
The only motivation I can think of is that you are envious of rich people, and see politics as a tool to steal from them.
Economics has prove, and received a nobel prize in 2024 for the _fact_ that property rights must be maintained (no reduction of inequality) to get economic

buy Johan Nordbergs book The Capitalist Manifesto, you have sources and data.
Your mistake is very common among socialists, and that is that you are only looking at a few years at most. If you look at 30 or 70 years, you'll see the proof of trickle down.

You have been disproven again, and pro tip, don't base your ideas on swedish government data. The swedish public sector is full of socialists, trying to hide the errors of socialism to earn money on corruption. So you cannot trust swedish data. It's like asking a drug seller if drugs are good.

What I say has nothing to do with ideology. To the contrary, it seems like you are steeped in socialism. What I talk about is just plain, basic, economic facts. Socialism has been disproven scientifically (it doesn't work), historically (any place where it has been tried has fallen), and logically (it is inconsistent). It amazes me that people still insist on believing in the illusion, but envy and hate are probably the main factors behind that.

I can also add pisa studies. Swedish students are also getting more stupid, and the schools worse. Once sweden had the best school system in the world, but look at the nr of nobel prizes and the pisa studies, and you can see how retardedness spreads due to socialism.

You're seeking defense in definitions, but both you and I know that collective agreement is socialist b.s. It means a limitation of the rights of employers. By all means, agree with others, collectively if you want, but if you work for me, the contract stipulates and forbids unions and collective union agreements, and that is as it should be. In sweden, the socialists are constantly trampling on property rights, and that is why swedes are getting poor. That is one of many reasons

Hedonism, epicureanism, stoicism, nihilism, etc. all valid answers. Some better than others in my opinion. This is also another weakness about libertarianism.

Someone, some day might find the key to creating a big libertarian party, but I think that for that to happen, living conditions in the west need to either reach soviet living conditions, so that people literally accept anything else, or some libertarian genius needs to do things a lot differently from how politics is done and explained to the public today.

Since libertarians tend to be productive people, their livelihood is not tied to the party, which means that usually the party remains forever small and will almost always never have any influence.

I would argue that libertarianism hasn't even had the chance to fix this.
One weakness of libertarianism is its inherent difficulty to organize. By its nature it attracts strong personalities and people who have more important things to do than to waste their lives with politics.
Contrast that with socialism, the most egoistic of ideologies, where the participants see it as a road to live like billionaires and having
