Update.. as mentioned, I've never heard from Spotify in the past or used the service personally as a subscriber, but this is an interesting observation.
I just completed this book over the weekend. I like to think I was able to get the eye of Sauron looking my way after listening to such a ridiculous breakdown of horrendous business practices and decisions. The book was quite informative.

@nprofile…3ram yes. Good recommendations. I'd added my back catalog on RSS.com in fall of 2022 to explore the V4V model and podcasting 2.0 features I'd found. Then in January of 2023 dove into Wavlake to explore and compare. Many good options keep appearing. Many of my music friends couldn't understand why I was loading my archives onto Bandcamp in 2008, but I was able to help them years later when they were ready to step in. I view this area the same for when more people show up later and need help.

My self-hosted song got the boot from Spotify in(di)gestion.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Grateful for all of you builders and creators putting work in these RSS, BTC layers and many other projects that allow many of us to experiment and try things each day.

Lots of discussion in past weeks about songs getting generated by AI so I asked my synths to comment.

The role of the tastemaker becomes more important as more content becomes available. My friends and I would suggest movies or music much more accurately to each other than these type of generic summaries.

A bootleg mashup I did 20 years ago for a gig I played meets Weird Science for a full 80s revival.

@npub1ln5…xyw6 I tested a few in the past using a burner phone number to receive confirmation text to and understand how they worked at local shops in the area. The fees are higher, but I view it as a privacy charge vs a regular exchange. Cool to see options available for people and the shop owners shared it is pretty busy at all times.

@npub1df6…ns3a and @npub1ln5…xyw6 wondering if there is a way to force these music filled podcasts like Boostagram Ball to reset/force playback speed to be 1x since many people do run their playback accelerated for other shows. A public service message for peace of mind and a chipmunk free musical experience. :-)
