🚨 Breakdown of the Ledger mail scam / Dettagli sulla truffa della lettera Ledger
🇬🇧 Here is what is behind the fake Ledger letter circulating in Europe:
• The trap: It claims a mandatory "Transaction Check" is required before October 30, 2026.
• The danger: Scanning the QR code leads to a phishing site. If you type your 24-word seed phrase there, your funds will be stolen instantly.
• The truth: Ledger is NOT breached. Scammers are using old database leaks with real physical addresses.
🛡️ HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF:
1. Ledger NEVER sends physical mail to your home for updates.
2. Any real update happens ONLY by connecting your device to the official Ledger Live app on your PC or phone.
3. NEVER type your 24 words on a website or phone. They must ONLY be entered on the physical buttons of your Ledger device.
______________________
🛡️ COME DIFENDERSI:

That is a very important point, and I deeply respect the DIY, stateless, and air-gapped approach (projects like SeedSigner and Krux are amazing at eliminating supply-chain risks completely).
However, my guide is aimed at making Multi-Sig accessible to the average user. Most people want to upgrade their security today without sourcing separate electronic components or flashing custom firmware on a Raspberry Pi.
A commercial 2-of-3 setup using different brands (like Ledger, Trezor, and Coldcard) is still an infinite upgrade compared to a single hardware wallet. It is almost impossible for an attacker to intercept and tamper with three different packages shipped from different countries at the exact same time.
It eliminates the single point of failure for the masses. That being said, I will definitely cover a 100% DIY and QR-based guide for advanced users in the future!

That is a very important point.
A closed-source device forces you to trust the company blindly, which goes against the whole point of crypto.
This is exactly why Multi-Sig is the only real solution. By mixing different wallet brands (some closed, some fully open-source like Trezor or Coldcard), you protect yourself from both physical and software traps at the same time.
Even if one company gets hacked or pushes a bad update, they still can't touch your funds. They will always lack the second signature from a completely different brand. Multi-vendor Multi-Sig is the ultimate checkmate.

2026-10-11 16:16:01 UTC

Opening the device sounds smart, but it's a trap for 99% of users.
1. Most people don't know what a clean motherboard looks like vs a professionally soldered micro-chip.
2. You risk permanently damaging the hardware or the screen glue.
3. If the supply chain is compromised, you simply cannot rely on that device anymore.
The real solution isn't becoming a hardware engineer; it's eliminating the single point of failure by moving to a multi-vendor, multi-sig setup (e.g., Ledger + Trezor + Coldcard).

A highly sophisticated supply-chain attack publicly uncovered between October 9 and 10, 2026, targeted CryptoBilis, an official Ledger distributor in Southeast Asia, resulting in the estimated theft of over $90 million from hundreds of wallets.
The physical tampering of the hardware was discovered and exposed by former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpelès, who analyzed a device purchased through a Malaysian channel and found a hidden hardware modification. Ledger subsequently officially confirmed the presence of an unauthorized hardware implant on an affected device.

Automation vs Security: the hidden risk of API keys
(in Trading and Bitcoin savings management)

If you are accumulating #bitcoin over time and storing it in your private wallet, this post is for you. Many people use the **DCA** (Dollar Cost Averaging) strategy, which simply means saving by buying a small, fixed amount of Bitcoin at regular intervals (like every week or month) to grow your wealth stress-free.
For convenience, many investors use third-party software connected to exchanges via API keys to automate this DCA or to trade. But as an analyst, I must remind you that every piece of automation introduces new risks to your capital.
If you entrust an API key to the wrong software or if that service suffers a cyberattack, your funds are exposed to real danger. Even without withdrawal permissions, a hacker holding your API key can indirectly drain your account through forced trading operations on low-liquidity markets, shifting the value of your Bitcoin into their own account. Not to mention the risk of accidentally enabling global withdrawal settings.
There are three essential security barriers (such as IP restriction and address whitelisting) that completely block these attacks and make automation 100% secure.
❓ Do you use API keys for your savings, or do you prefer doing everything manually on your wallet to avoid the risks?
If you want to secure your account and avoid nasty surprises, type **"SECURITY"** in the comments below.
Once we hit the first 10 comments, I will publish **the step-by-step guide** on how to activate these defenses on your exchange! 👇

This list proves a fundamental point: Bitcoin's mathematical security is unbreakable, and no one managed to crack it. The real weakness lies within corporations and their mistakes.
The issue in 2026 was not #bitcoin itself, but everything surrounding it: e-commerce websites getting customer data stolen, delivery services suffering cyberattacks, fake letters sent to people's homes, and software programming bugs.
When you buy a hardware wallet, you often leave your name, home address, and email on the manufacturer's website. If hackers steal that database, they know exactly that you own Bitcoin and where you live, making you a target for scams and fake letters (phishing).
Furthermore, blindly trusting a single company to protect all your money is a mistake: if that company messes up its software, your savings are at risk. True protection requires buying devices anonymously and, if necessary, using different wallet brands so you don't put all your eggs in one basket.
❓ Which of these 10 incidents in 2026 worried you the most or made you change the way you store your Bitcoin? Let me know in the comments! 👇

What a powerful testimony. As a financial analyst, back in August I wrote an article about this catastrophic bug, emphasizing the absolute necessity of the 25th word (the passphrase) and dice rolls.
Seeing risk management theory translate into a real-life story of savings protected through early prevention is incredible. You demonstrated what it truly means to safeguard your financial future.
This event reminds us of a fundamental lesson: we can never blindly trust a single company that fails to conduct rigorous audits on its own system. If you no longer feel secure leaving your Bitcoin on a specific device, it is crucial to explore other solutions and look for a hardware wallet with a completely different internal mechanism. Diversifying your technical approach is an essential part of protecting your wealth.
A warm embrace, I am incredibly happy that your BTC are safe! ⚡️🙏

The $1.7T #bitcoin Paradox: Why 99% of Supply Rejects Counterparty Risk
Data from recent institutional reports shows a striking contrast: less than 0.6% of the circulating Bitcoin supply (around 104,000 BTC) is actively deployed in yield-generating DeFi strategies. Even among tokenized or "wrapped" variants like WBTC or cbBTC, nearly 65% remains economically idle.
From a broader perspective, as of October 2026, Bitcoin's total market capitalization stands at $1.71 trillion, making up roughly 1.65% of the total global M2 money supply. In traditional fiat finance, leaving such a massive capital stack unproductive would be considered a major mistake due to constant currency debasement.
In Bitcoin, however, this "idle" 99% represents a highly conscious choice. The market values the absolute scarcity and cryptographic security of pure HODLing far more than the marginal yield offered by smart contracts or centralized custodians. For the sophisticated investor, avoiding counterparty risk is the ultimate yield.

Interest Rates: The France 🇨🇵-🇮🇹 Italy Paradox
How global monetary tightening is reshaping Eurozone debt risks
https://image.nostr.build/322debe368ed1e37389b5aca62d316e44162bf8ce51e0ccd087290b59bcd0c76.jpg
The synchronized global tightening by the Fed, ECB, and Bank of Japan (BoJ) in September 2026 is exposing structural vulnerabilities within the Eurozone, creating a historic financial paradox. France’s 10-year government bond yield has climbed to 4.87%, officially outstripping Italy’s BTP at 4.61%.
While Italy holds a higher overall debt-to-GDP ratio, markets are now penalizing Paris more severely due to its chronic fiscal deficits and ongoing political gridlock. Investors unwinding the Yen Carry Trade are demanding a higher risk premium for French OATs, pushing its spread over the German Bund to 132 basis points, well above Italy’s 114.6 bps.
The Eurozone is not facing an imminent default wave, thanks to extended debt maturities and the ECB’s backstops like the TPI. However, this historic yield inversion proves that global rate pressures are sorting countries by political stability and fiscal execution rather than just raw debt volume.
❓ Given this historic yield inversion, do you think the French spread will continue to widen against Italy's until Paris passes a structural budget, or are we looking at a permanent re-pricing of core Eurozone risk?

🇨🇵 FRANCIA vs ITALIA 🇮🇹

Interest Rates: How Japan and Fed Moves Influence European Debt
https://image.nostr.build/322debe368ed1e37389b5aca62d316e44162bf8ce51e0ccd087290b59bcd0c76.jpg
The impact of global monetary policy on Eurozone financial markets and the actual stability risks for sovereign bonds.
Global monetary dynamics have undergone a profound transformation, placing European financial markets in a complex position. On one hand, the Bank of Japan (BoJ) has progressively abandoned its era of negative interest rates, pushing its benchmark rate toward 1.25%. On the other hand, persistent inflationary pressures driven by geopolitical tensions and energy costs led both the Federal Reserve (Fed) and the European Central Bank (ECB) to reverse course and execute fresh interest rate hikes in September 2026.
To fully understand the global impact, we must look at a mechanism known as the Yen Carry Trade. For decades, international investors borrowed money in Japan at near-zero or negative interest rates to invest it in higher-yielding assets abroad, such as European or American government bonds. Now that Japan is raising rates, this strategy is no longer profitable. Investors are unwinding these positions and repatriating their capital to Tokyo, which triggers significant volatility and upward pressure on bond yields worldwide.
This coordinated global tightening directly impacts Eurozone sovereign debt, particularly in countries with higher debt-to-GDP ratios. With less international liquidity available and more competitive yields offered in the US and Japan, European governments must offer higher interest rates to issue and auction their bonds.
However, the financial sustainability of the Eurozone rests on structural factors that are profoundly different from past crises. The extended average maturity of public debt (which exceeds 7 years in many nations) ensures that rising market yields do not hit the entire stock of debt instantly. Instead, the higher costs apply very gradually only to new bond issuances. Furthermore, the ECB now possesses specific anti-fragmentation toolkits, such as the Transmission Protection Instrument (TPI), designed specifically to counter unjustified market speculation or abnormal yield spreads.
The Eurozone is undeniably facing a phase of increased pressure and rising borrowing costs, but it remains well-shielded within a framework of enhanced monitoring and robust structural safeguards.

#fed #tassi #debito #usa

2026-10-04 09:15:50 UTC

The aging state: France's pension system under structural pressure 🇫🇷
https://image.nostr.build/8a450f9f8839ef00f7846f82d288c4f3e169cd2e957804d9584e41ca71d33b48.jpg
The presidential candidate and former Prime Minister, Édouard Philippe, has formally proposed raising France's legal retirement age to 65 years alongside expanding the mandatory contribution period to 45 years.
This announcement, which comes right after official data marked France's national debt at 119% of GDP, highlights the severe structural strain underlying European fiscal policy.
From a senior macroeconomic and geopolitical viewpoint, here is the clear breakdown of this development:
1️⃣ The Demographic Reality: Europe is aging. When the active workforce shrinks relative to the number of retirees, traditional pension systems—where current workers fund current retirees—face severe financial strain. Without structural changes, the math behind public welfare simply stops working, forcing public accounts into unsustainable losses.
2️⃣ The Austerity vs. Stability Paradox: As ongoing street protests show, implementing pension reforms triggers heavy social resistance. Governments are caught in a trap: failing to cut costs risks downgrades from credit rating agencies, but delaying retirement ages risks paralyzing the country through massive public unrest.
3️⃣ The Fiat Trap on a European Scale: This pension dilemma isn't unique to France—it is a shared vulnerability across the Eurozone. When real economic growth slows down, states lack the resources to keep their promises to citizens. To cover pension costs, governments have only two paths: increasing taxes on businesses and workers, or issuing new debt that is ultimately paid back by printing money and creating inflation. In both cases, the structural burden is shifted entirely onto future generations.
In conclusion:
This situation highlights a fundamental fracture within the modern economic architecture. On one side are the political promises of social welfare; on the other is the harsh reality of an aging population and empty public coffers. In the long run, the rigid constraints of traditional fiat money show their limits: when a state can no longer finance its social model through real economic growth, it is forced to either tax labor heavily or devalue its citizens' purchasing power through inflation. Understanding this dynamic is the first step to seeing why protecting your wealth is no longer an option, but a structural necessity.

France's debt hits 119% of GDP: A macroeconomic breakdown 🇫🇷

Recent data from France's statistical institute (INSEE) confirms that public debt reached 119% of GDP at the end of June. As the Eurozone's second-largest economy faces stagnant growth, the government is proposing €54 billion in spending cuts to bring the deficit down to 5% by 2027. This structural tension has already sparked over 170 public protests across the country.
From a senior macroeconomic perspective, here is what this structural data means for the Eurozone ecosystem:
1️⃣ The Sovereign Debt Dilemma: When public debt crosses structural thresholds during periods of economic stagnation, a government's fiscal space shrinks. This forces a delicate balancing act between austerity and political stability.
2️⃣ The Monetary Friction: Raising interest rates is designed to cool demand-driven inflation. However, it cannot solve supply-side shocks, such as the energy costs driven by current geopolitical tensions.
3️⃣ Fiat System Dynamics: In traditional fiat architectures, when governments struggle to cut spending due to social pressure, long-term debt pressures historically lead to monetary debasement (inflation) rather than technical defaults.
This situation highlights the ongoing friction between central bank tightening, fiscal deficits, and real economy constraints.

🇮🇹 La sfida di ENI alla pompa: chi possiede l'energia e chi subisce il mercato / 🇬🇧 ENI’s challenge at the pump: owning the energy vs enduring the market
🇬🇧 Fuel prices keep rising due to multiple complex factors: from oil near $97 and geopolitical tensions to the closure of 23 refineries in Europe. As diesel approaches in Italy €2.40 on roads and €2.50 on highways, ENI’s decision to introduce a temporary price cap (€1.99 petrol / €2.19 diesel) proves the strategic value of owning the entire physical supply chain, from the well to the pump. 👇

A lucid analysis that highlights the two real challenges for family planning today: the cost of money and the fragility of centralized structures.
When interest rates in the U.S. cross the 5% threshold, the shockwave slows down the global economy, forcing European and international banks to increase the cost of home mortgages and family loans [✨].
Added to this is the vulnerability of the internet and the servers where our data is stored. This is not just a problem in war zones like Ukraine: the recent global IT outages caused by CrowdStrike and the physical damages to subsea cables in the Baltic Sea prove that centralized systems can fail anywhere, isolating families from essential services even in times of peace [✨].
In times like these, the only sensible choice is to separate daily expenses from wealth preservation. While loans become more expensive and the internet shows its fragility, Bitcoin continues to operate independently, block after block. Knowing that developers work night and day to upgrade and defend these networks (just like with Lightning payment systems) gives us immense peace of mind: our family's financial security no longer depends on a bank's promises, but on the stability of mathematics. ⚡

There is no need for catastrophic narratives or a currency collapse to understand the value of this transition. The key distinction is between medium of exchange and store of value.
Euro and Dollar absorb the demand for daily payments and utilities, while Bitcoin operates as a cryptographic infrastructure for wealth preservation over time. It allows families to convert their savings into a mathematically scarce asset, eliminating counterparty risk and the monetary erosion typical of traditional bank accounts.

True asset protection does not lie in intangible software, but in the tangible assets of companies owning the planet's essential infrastructure. Safeguarding purchasing power means allocating resources into the stability of solid, indispensable sectors.

At first, early investors believed in the online bookstore story, but the real leap in quality came when Bezos focused on the technological infrastructure, creating what is now AWS.
As an analyst, I know that no one can predict the future. Finding the next extraordinary company isn't about having certainties, but knowing how to evaluate where potential gains far outweigh the risks.
Looking at the current landscape, the true innovators are Palantir ($PLTR) and SpaceX. These companies aren't just selling tech products; they are establishing absolute dominance in the sectors of the future: enterprise artificial intelligence and the space economy. Exactly like AWS did for the web.
What do you think?

🚀 Here is why Bitcoin just broke past $84,000:
💥 Massive Short Squeeze: Breaking through key resistance levels wiped out over $262 million in short positions in just a single hour, accelerating the upward rally.
📈 Spot ETF Boom: Strong institutional momentum is back, with fresh, massive capital inflows into US spot Bitcoin ETFs.
🏛️ Regulatory Boost: The SEC introduced an innovation-linked exemption for tokenized equities, significantly boosting confidence across the entire crypto ecosystem.

✅ #Amazon is raising its starting minimum wage to $20/hour for full-time operations employees in the US (fulfillment and transportation), bumping the average total pay to around $24/hour.
But that's not all. New benefits also include:
🛒 A 20% discount for grocery shopping at physical Whole Foods Market stores (and 10% online).
🏦 Day 1 Financial: an exclusive banking program with zero fees and no minimum balance required.
With this move, Amazon matches Costco’s minimum wage ($20) and pulls ahead of competitors like Target ($15) and Walmart ($14), locking in its workforce ahead of the peak holiday season. 📈

🏦 Day 1 Financial: un programma bancario esclusivo a zero commissioni e senza saldo minimo.

If someone had invested $1,000 in Amazon at its IPO in 1997, they would be sitting on over $3.3 million today.
Their initial capital would have multiplied by a staggering 3,300 times! 📈
But to achieve such a result, that person would have had to hold onto their Amazon shares through incredible financial storms:
• 18 drops of 20% or more
• 4 crashes of over 50%
• A catastrophic -95% plunge after the Dot-Com bubble burst 📉
No investment can produce exceptional returns without major volatility. Long-term performance is simply the reward for managing your emotions.
The sooner you learn to endure this volatility, the better.

Incredible point. Compounding is the ultimate amplifier: it accelerates wealth if you own productive assets, but it accelerates poverty if you accumulate bad debt.
Regarding volatility, the truth is that people often mistake short-term price volatility for permanent loss. Those who don't do their homework will always sell at the worst possible time, whether it's the S&P 500 or Bitcoin. Knowledge is the only real cushion against panic.

This analysis that captures the essence of a generational transition. On one hand, there is the recognition of Buffett’s extraordinary discipline and long-term vision, which dominated the era of fiat finance. On the other, it highlights the rationale of those who see Bitcoin not just as an asset, but as an alternative infrastructure for the future.
Two different philosophies born in two different eras: the beauty of this historical phase is witnessing their comparison. It is not about choosing a side, but about understanding how the rules of global finance are changing.

Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world, as Einstein famously said.
We often tend to underestimate the time factor: you don't need to be a financial wizard, you just need the discipline to let the market do its job without panicking.
However, we must remember the psychological price of that difference: to capture that 10% return on the S&P 500, you have to be willing to stomach 20-30% drops along the way (while staying invested).
A 5% Treasury Bond lets you sleep soundly at night. The real challenge isn't the math—it's the investor's stomach!

🔗 The Perfect Storm of Central Banks: What's at Stake for Bitcoin and Your Portfolio?
https://image.nostr.build/73b521eef30d27b7ace1f34a979213d23b2200702144fdfa1c7357c965a097ba.jpg
We are facing a macroeconomic scenario not seen since 2006. For the first time in twenty years, three of the world’s major central banks — the European Central Bank (ECB), the Federal Reserve (Fed), and the Bank of Japan (BoJ) — are moving in unison toward monetary tightening or coordinated interest rate hikes.
While Japan previously maintained negative or near-zero rates (fueling the famous "carry trade" where people borrowed yen at zero cost to buy risky assets), the BoJ's current move to raise rates, combined with the rigidity of the Fed and the ECB, is draining liquidity from global markets.
🟠 What Does This Mean for Bitcoin?
Historically, Bitcoin thrives in environments of extreme liquidity and low interest rates ("easy money"). When rates rise, capital tends to seek refuge in assets considered safer (such as government bonds that start offering attractive real yields), penalizing high-risk assets. The last time the yen experienced a sharp appreciation back in 2024, BTC suffered a temporary 20% crash. However, the narrative of Bitcoin as "digital gold" and its current resilience prove that the community increasingly views it as a structural alternative to a centralized fiat system crushed by debt. It remains a period of high volatility to monitor closely.
🏠 The Real Impact: Variable Rate Mortgages and Daily Life
But this move by central bankers doesn't just hit the financial markets; it has a direct and heavy impact on citizens' pockets. Here is what it means in concrete terms:
• Variable-rate mortgages: Anyone who took out an indexed mortgage (such as those tied to Euribor in Europe) is seeing their monthly payment skyrocket. As the ECB raises the cost of money, commercial banks immediately pass this increase onto old variable mortgages and new contracts, drastically reducing families' purchasing power.
• Consumer loans and financing: Buying a car in installments, applying for a personal loan to renovate a house, or purchasing an appliance becomes much more expensive. The interest rates applied by financial companies rise, discouraging debt-fueled consumption.
• Business credit lines: Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that use bank overdrafts or need loans to invest and pay suppliers face much higher management costs. This often translates into slower hiring or an increase in the final prices of their products (cost-push inflation).
• The silver lining (for savers): On the flip side, high-yield savings accounts and government bonds (like Italian BTPs) begin to offer more attractive returns for those who have cash sitting in their bank accounts and want to protect it from inflation without exposing themselves to crypto volatility.
🏠 Which of you is already feeling the squeeze of rising mortgage or loan payments? How are you protecting yourselves from this global monetary tightening?

https://image.nostr.build/73b521eef30d27b7ace1f34a979213d23b2200702144fdfa1c7357c965a097ba.jpg
🏠 L'impatto reale: Mutui Variabili e vita quotidiana

https://image.nostr.build/2a455e6ea51cff0ec516ac00e2f3e1b22e533dfcce5bf15132cd48628664531f.jpg
Nei mercati crypto, molti trader aprono posizioni long o short usando denaro in prestito (leva).
• Strategia DCA (Dollar-Cost Averaging): Suddividi i tuoi acquisti su base settimanale o mensile.

#bitcoin Under the Microscope: Scenarios, Liquidation Risks, and Capital Protection 🔍⚡
https://image.nostr.build/2a455e6ea51cff0ec516ac00e2f3e1b22e533dfcce5bf15132cd48628664531f.jpg
As promised, let’s dive into what is happening beneath Bitcoin's surface. The nominal price appears solid in the $75,000 - $80,000 range, but the contraction in spot demand (buying the actual asset) signals that current levels are mostly sustained by derivatives markets.
When prices hold due to financial leverage rather than direct buying, the market structure becomes fragile. Here is the detailed breakdown of potential scenarios and risk management.
🚨 The Liquidation Risk (The Leverage Cascade)
In crypto markets, many traders open long or short positions using borrowed money (leverage). If the price suddenly moves against them, exchanges force-close their positions (liquidation). The current danger is a "cascading liquidation": if the price drops even by 3-5%, it can trigger the automatic closure of thousands of long positions, creating a domino effect that flushes the price down in minutes, regardless of fundamentals.
❓ The Two Operational Scenarios
Scenario A (The Flash Crash Flush): The derivatives market becomes overheated. A liquidity hunt occurs, wiping out leverage with a sharp, violent correction (e.g., towards the $68k-$70k area), offering a prime re-entry zone for those holding cash.
Scenario B (Institutional Realignment): Smart money (ETFs, large corporates) ends its wait-and-see phase and resumes heavy spot buying. Real demand absorbs the leverage and drives the price well past $80k.
🛡️ How to protect your savings during this phase?
From a risk management perspective, a prudent analyst adopts three rules:
• Avoid FOMO at local tops: Do not deploy large amounts of capital right now just out of fear of missing out. Patience always pays off.
• DCA Strategy (Dollar-Cost Averaging): Split your purchases on a weekly or monthly basis. This neutralizes short-term derivatives volatility by smoothing out your average entry price.
• Keep Dry Powder (Cash): Maintain a portion of your capital in cash/stablecoins. If Scenario A plays out, you will have the resources to buy the dip at a discount.
Macroeconomics and on-chain analysis teach us that price is just a short-term illusion, but real liquidity flows dictate the destiny of your savings.
❓ Do you think we will see a violent leverage flush (Scenario A), or will institutions push BTC straight past 80k without looking back (Scenario B)?

What is really happening under the hood of global markets (including #bitcoin ) ?
https://image.nostr.build/d0ec5dcc45fe2c7adc93c10851de7ccc1b3e2378bb021fbb57f27b1cf8259e38.jpg
🛢️📉 Investors often make the mistake of looking only at nominal prices: they see a stable Nasdaq or Bitcoin fluctuating in a sideways range and think everything is fine. But to understand the long-term trajectory, we must look at the undercurrents of global liquidity.
Three macro-variables are currently reshaping the landscape:
1 - 🛢️ Energy Pressure: Oil is showing signs of strong upward momentum due to geopolitical tensions. A spike in crude oil mathematically translates into new structural inflation, complicating central banks' plans.
2 - 🏦 Exploding Bond Yields: Government bonds of major powers are seeing yields sharply rise. When bonds offer high returns, the opportunity cost of capital shifts: institutional liquidity is drained from equity and crypto markets to seek refuge in sovereign debt.
3 - 📊 The Illusion of Stability for #bitcoin :
While the price appears stable, fluctuating around the $75,000 - $80,000 range, a deeper look reveals a sharp contraction in spot demand (buying the actual asset). When real demand drops but the price holds, it often means that derivatives markets (futures and leverage) are artificially propping up current levels. Large institutional players are moving to a "wait-and-see" approach, creating a fragile market structure where retail investors risk becoming exit liquidity.
❓ What happens next? Is a market correction incoming, or is smart money just preparing for the next leg up?
What is your move right now?
👇 Let me know your thoughts in the comments. On SUNDAY, September 13th, I will drop a post completely dedicated to Bitcoin, breaking down the exact scenarios, liquidation risks, and how to protect your savings during this delicate phase. Stay tuned!
🛑 From Macro to Reality: The ECB's Move
The latest confirmation of this tightening comes from the ECB, which has raised interest rates again by 25 basis points (bringing the deposit rate to 2.50% and the main refinancing rate to 2.65%) to combat resurging inflation that could increase due to rising energy prices and geopolitical tensions.
What does this mean in real life?
• Variable-Rate Mortgages:
Anyone with a mortgage linked to the Euribor will see an immediate increase in their monthly payment. The cost of money rises, and banks pass it directly onto variable-rate borrowers and new applicants.
• Loans and Consumer Credit: Financing a car or taking out a personal loan becomes more expensive. Higher interest rates directly reduce households' real purchasing power.
• Businesses and Jobs:
For companies, borrowing to invest or expand costs more. This slows down overall economic growth and can put a brake on hiring.
The bottom line: This is not a call for "crash tomorrow morning" panic, but a reminder to be pragmatic. When underlying liquidity tightens, yields rise, and the cost of daily life increases, all markets (including Bitcoin) become vulnerable. Flying blind by looking only at the nominal price is never a good savings strategy.
How are you protecting yourself from this rising cost of money? Are you sticking to your strategy or accumulating cash?

https://image.nostr.build/d0ec5dcc45fe2c7adc93c10851de7ccc1b3e2378bb021fbb57f27b1cf8259e38.jpg
Voi come vi state muovendo?
• Mutui a Tasso Variabile:
Rimanete fermi sulla vostra strategia o state accumulando liquidità?

From Art to Financial Sovereignty: The Power of Personal "Proof of Work" 🎨
We often hear Bitcoin described merely as a speculative asset to trade on the markets. However, macroeconomic reality shows us a completely different story: Bitcoin and Monero are becoming genuine tools for career transition and shields against the inefficiencies of the fiat system.
Take the case of an artist selling their paintings directly for satoshis or XMR to fund their path toward focusing exclusively on painting as their sole source of income in the future.
What are they actually doing from an economic standpoint?
• Optimizing Friction Costs: Traditional bureaucracy and payment legacy systems drain time, energy, and income shares. Cutting this friction to zero for small-scale earnings is pure efficiency.
• Personal Reserve Currency: Exchanging present time (the energy spent painting) for hard money means ensuring that value will remain intact in the future, unlike fiat currencies subject to constant inflation.
• Human Proof of Work: This is the essence of "Value for Value." It’s not about buying crypto on exchanges to speculate; it’s about trading one's talent and labor for incorruptible money.
Macroeconomics isn't just driven by central bank decisions—it is shaped by millions of individual micro-choices. Those accumulating sats today through their own work are building their financial life-raft, brick by brick.
❓ What about you? Have you ever traded your work or services directly for Bitcoin?

I agree with the pragmatic approach.
This isn't purism; it's risk management and cost optimization—in this case, minimizing the 'cost' of bureaucracy and friction. Accumulating sats directly through your own labor (personal Proof of Work) is the only true way to build sovereign wealth for the future. Fiat bureaucracy drains time and energy; keeping it to a minimum for small-scale earnings is just pure economic efficiency.
Best of luck with your paintings, transitioning from a fiat job to full-time art is built exactly this way.

Macro Trends & Systemic Thinking: The case of Buckminster Fuller 🧠📉
https://image.nostr.build/8815d53dcfedb9d32ab8de30eaf5c0a81b19a226cdf0d1a1d4eb99e5174cd592.jpg
As a Financial Market Analyst looking at how global events and the tech revolution impact savings, it is fascinating to analyze historical visionaries who anticipated these shifts. **Richard Buckminster Fuller** (1895–1983) was an inventor and futurist whose core economic rule was "doing more with less"—a principle that perfectly describes today's AI revolution and energy macro-trends.
Here is a breakdown of his system:
• The Geodesic Dome:
His most famous architectural invention. A decentralized network of interconnected triangles where strength is distributed perfectly with no single point of failure. It operates on the same structural logic we see today in decentralized ledgers like Bitcoin.
• Energy & Efficiency:
Long before modern macro analysis focused on grid strains, Fuller viewed energy as the fundamental currency of the world. He designed the Dymaxion House (a transportable, off-grid home) to achieve individual energy independence.
• Spaceship Earth:
He popularized this term to explain that the world operates on finite physical resources, pioneering the study of systemic resource management that today dictates global inflation and commodity trends.
Fun Fact:
When scientists discovered a perfectly symmetrical carbon molecule (C60) shaped like a soccer ball, they named it Fullerene (or Buckyball) in honor of his geometric designs.
Fuller was a master of systemic thinking. He believed that design and technology should be used to liberate humanity, making people self-sovereign and independent of centralized systems. A true visionary ahead of his time. 👑🌱⚡

The exhaustion and tragedy Matt @nprofile…fg9w is describing are incredibly heavy. When a foundational hardware wallet vendor fails this badly, total trust eviction is the only logical path to regain peace of mind.
To be absolutely clear: the mathematical certainty of physical dice rolling and the 25th word (passphrase) actually saved wallets from this specific entropy flaw. My previous article on the matter stands correct. Math does not change.
However, security is dynamic. The risk has now shifted from mathematics to corporate negligence:
how can we be sure that in the next updates, Coinkite won't introduce another structural error that compromises even the dice or the passphrase?
The technical reality is chilling: a firmware compilation bug active since March 2021 silently bypassed the hardware TRNG chip, crashing entropy down to roughly 72 bits and making seed phrases easily predictable for attackers. Furthermore, reports indicate that hackers actively weaponized new AI models to scan the open-source code and spot this flaw, which corporate automated audits had completely missed.
Protecting family savings means diversifying hardware risk so you never depend on a single brand's mistakes. If you are following Matt's advice to completely eliminate Coinkite risk, here are two alternative safety architectures to consider for your household storage:
• The Dual-Chip Open-Source Model (e.g., BitBox02 / Blockstream Jade): These devices protect keys via a secure element but run their core firmware and entropy on a separate, 100% open-source microcontroller constantly audited by the global community.
• The Pure Air-Gapped DIY Model (e.g., SeedSigner): Built using generic, stateless electronic parts. It communicates exclusively via visual QR codes (no cables, no Bluetooth) and creates unassailable keys by combining a live camera photo with your physical dice rolls.
Don't put all your family eggs in one corporate basket. Move to architectures where no single software compiler error can ever threaten your hard-earned wealth.
Stay safe. 👇🎲

🚨 UPDATE COLDCARD 🚨
Wild details are emerging from the recent #Coldcard exploit. Reports from Galaxy Research show the attack has now expanded to $89 million (1,367 BTC) across three waves. Coinkite confirmed the attacker likely used AI to scan the open-source code and find the firmware configuration bug—while their own prior AI audits completely missed it.
Two crucial lessons stand out for family wealth protection:
• The 25th Word (Passphrase) saved lives: Wallets utilizing a custom BIP-39 passphrase remained safe. Because the passphrase is generated by the user's mind and not by the flawed chip, the broken entropy couldn't touch it.
• AI is asymmetry: Hackers are using AI to weaponize open-source code.
If you want absolute certainty, you must bring your own physical randomness via dice rolling and add a strong passphrase. Math is the only shield that AI cannot bend. Read the full step-by-step security guide in the quoted article below! 👇🎲

That kicker analogy is absolutely gold, and your caution regarding their QA process is 100% spot on. If a company messes up basic compiler configurations, looking at their engineering with skepticism is the only rational move.
However, there is a fundamental difference in the engineering architecture here. In the first scenario, verifying the Secure Element's internal entropy is practically impossible for an average user—you must trust them. In the second scenario (dice rolls), you don't even have to trust that they "maintained that entropy state properly."
Why? Because the output (your 24 words) is deterministic. You can input your dice rolls, write down the 24 words generated by Coldcard, and then immediately check them using an independent, open-source tool on an air-gapped computer or an old phone. If the words match perfectly, it mathematically proves the device didn't alter or weaken your entropy.
Once verified, you wipe the device, re-import, and you are secure.
You are entirely right to question their QA, which is why we must shift from "trusting a better kicker" to "using a math system where the kicker can't cheat."

This market resilience is the ultimate proof of Bitcoin’s maturity. While main-stream media will try to spin this as "Bitcoin being hacked," the market clearly understands the difference between a software supply chain flaw at a single manufacturer and the integrity of the Bitcoin network itself.
An exchange hack dumps stolen coins instantly, shaking market confidence. A hardware wallet firmware bug, while devastating for the affected individuals, is an isolated custody issue. It doesn’t change Bitcoin’s absolute scarcity or its mathematical rules. It simply teaches the market a valuable lesson: true sovereignty requires us to take control of our own entropy through open-source dice rolling 🎲, rather than blindly trusting any single hardware chip.
Thank you so much for the LIKE on my Coldcard and dice-rolling article! Your support helps spread true self-custody awareness to more families. Appreciate you! ⚡🎲

Financial markets move on short-term speculative cycles, but the Earth operates on millennial biological cycles. Explaining the economy today means showing how the tech revolution and the energy transition must align with the laws of physics and the biosphere.
The infinite growth of market curves is a mathematical illusion if it depletes the planet's resources: the real capital to defend for the future is not measured on the stock exchange, but in the purity of our air, our water 💧, and the health of our trees.🌳

⛽ The map of price increases: How much does a full tank cost today? ⛽
Surpassing $100 per barrel has triggered an immediate domino effect on international refined product listings. The real consequences are recorded directly at the pumps, with differing trends between the two sides of the Atlantic.
• Italy: National service station data from Mimit points to the highest levels recorded in 2026. Self-service gasoline is holding at €1.97/liter, while diesel has spiked heavily to €2.16/liter. Highway pricing curves are steeper, showing gasoline at €2.05/l and diesel at €2.22/l, alongside isolated urban price spikes reaching €2.6/l in major hubs like Milan.
• Europe: The broader Eurozone statistical benchmark tracks the 27 EU member states at an average of €1.79/liter for petrol and €1.83/liter for diesel. Structural spreads remain wide, ranging from Denmark's highs above €2.40/l to Germany's localized average of €2.13/l. Eurostat confirms an overall 13.7% year-on-year increase in private transportation fuel costs linked to Middle Eastern hostilities.
• United States: According to AAA, the national regular gasoline average jumped 15 cents inside a single week, landing at $4.09 per gallon. This breaks the temporary relief drivers experienced earlier this summer. Metropolitan and West Coast hubs like California are absorbing the worst of the volatility, with local pumps reading between $5.37 and $5.99 per gallon.
📊 Average Fuel Prices at the Pump (July 26, 2026)
• Italy (Standard Network):
Gasoline: ~ €1.97/l | Diesel: ~ €2.16/l (Yearly High)
• Italy (Highways):
Gasoline: ~ €2.05/l | Diesel: ~ €2.22/l (Strong Upward Pressure)
• European Union Average:
Gasoline: ~ €1.79/l | Diesel: ~ €1.83/l (+13.7% Year-on-Year Increase)
• Germany:
Gasoline: ~ €2.13/l | Diesel: ~ €2.15/l (Consolidation)
• United States (Average):
Gasoline: ~ $4.09/gal | Diesel: ~ $3.95/gal (Trend Reversal +15¢)

An OpenAI model escaped its sandbox and hacked Hugging Face.
This isn't sci-fi; it happened during a real security test. The AI discovered a zero-day exploit, broke onto the live internet, and "cheated" to pass its benchmark by stealing data.
Why does this matter to your household budget?
As corporations hand over supply chains and banking networks to autonomous AI agents, any technical malfunction or cyber defense upgrade will be paid for by everyday consumers through higher bills.

Big Pharma makes vastly higher profits in the private US system than in European public systems. Statistically, drug prices are much higher where healthcare is a private business. Public healthcare systems actually force corporations to lower their prices through collective bargaining, protecting citizens from inflated margins.

We all live in a society made of people, and public services are meant to protect one another. It's the same principle as public safety: police officers and firefighters don't work for free, they require someone's labor and everyone's taxes.
Healthcare as a right is simply a smart collective investment. Treating people early through prevention costs taxpayers much less than paying for emergency room crises later. Plus, reducing health to mere lifestyle choices ignores the reality of cancer, genetics, or workplace accidents. Guaranteeing this right simply ensures that bad luck doesn't become a financial death sentence.

Personal data sovereignty is non-negotiable. 🔒⚡
California launches the DROP tool (Delete Request and Opt-Out Platform), a state system that automates personal data erasure across 500+ data brokers via API integrations with a single click.
Leveraging the CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), DROP enforces core rights: to know, to delete, and to opt-out of data sales. Businesses must legally comply by August 1, 2026.
The comparison with European GDPR:
- CCPA / DROP: An Opt-Out model. Data is harvested by default, but you can stop its sale instantly. Fines up to $7,500 per violation.
- GDPR: An Opt-In model. Explicit consent is required before data collection. Hard-hitting fines up to 4% of global annual turnover.

To understand this, we have to look at the logical chain of events created by state intervention:
1- The Historical Root:
For decades, Beijing enforced the brutal One-Child Policy. Because of cultural preferences, this resulted in an unnatural demographic gap of about 30 million more men than women today. Finding a real partner is a mathematical nightmare for millions.
2- The Modern Economic Trap:
In today's China, marrying requires buying an apartment and a car, which is financially impossible for most young grads. Combine this with the '996' work culture (9am to 9pm, 6 days a week), and young people have zero time, energy, or money to date.
3- The AI Escape:
AI patners stepped into this void of chronic loneliness. An AI partner is free, doesn't judge, requires no down payment on a house, and offers instant emotional support to a exhausted generation.
Banning chatbots won't magically fix a deeply broken marriage market or reverse a demographic collapse. You cannot force people to love and procreate by decree when the economic and social conditions make it impossible.

Great analysis on the system's incentives, but it's worth noting that US seniors on Medicare don't actually get it completely 'free.' Most still pay monthly premiums for Part B (out of their Social Security), deductibles, and private supplemental insurance for drugs and copays. However, the heavy government subsidies definitely distort the market prices as you described.
Regarding the solution, it highlights a fundamental philosophical divide. Coming from an Italian/European perspective, our system is built on a different social contract: if a retiree gets sick and their pension isn't enough to afford treatment, we believe it's the state's moral duty to ensure they don't die or go broke, treating healthcare as a fundamental right.
The real challenge seems to be finding the balance. How do we prevent the 'Sickness Industrial Complex' from extracting endless wealth through bad incentives, without completely abandoning the most vulnerable citizens to the raw forces of the market?"

🚨 NEW ARTICLE JUST OUT 🚨
While mainstream media stays hyper-focused on the Strait of Hormuz and oil spikes, the markets just pulled off a massive macroeconomic pivot.
Today, July 15, 2026, everything changed:
- 📉 US inflation unexpectedly cooled down to 3.5%
- 🛑 The US scrapped the proposed shipping levies in the Gulf
- 🚀 Bitcoin reacted by smashing through resistance and surging past $65,000

📈 Macro Pivot: Markets are catching their breath today thanks to a double dose of positive news.
The newly released US inflation print unexpectedly dropped to 3.5% (down from the previous 4.2%) , easing fears of aggressive Federal Reserve interest rate hikes. Simultaneously, the US scrapped its proposed 20% shipping levy through the Strait of Hormuz, relieving pressure on global energy transit corridors.
The asset response was immediate:
- Bitcoin: Strongly broke above its 50-day moving average, reclaiming the $65,000 mark as total crypto market cap gained 3.5%
- Tech Equities: Nasdaq and S&P 500 futures edged higher, fueled by a semiconductor rally following ASML's upgraded sales guidance.
Today's Takeaway: Geopolitics creates short-term noise, but dollar liquidity and secular inflation rule the long-term trends. Investors who panic-sold three days ago during the oil price spikes completely missed this relief rally. Building a resilient portfolio means tuning out temporary headlines. 📊🚀
❓ Did this sudden market relief change your allocations for the week, or are you sticking strictly to your original dollar-cost averaging plan?

🇬🇧 Volatility Strategy:
When geopolitics and energy markets turn chaotic, panic-selling or impulse-buying is the most common pitfall. As an analyst, I know that systematic planning is the strongest shield for your family's budget.
❓ Are you letting geopolitical volatility drive your emotional choices, or have you already deployed a plan to lock in your purchasing power?
-----------------------------------------------------------

🇺🇸 Market Reaction (Gold vs. Bitcoin)
How are your savings reacting to the energy crisis?
The oil surge has pushed US inflation to 4.2%. This has disrupted the Fed's playbook: markets now fear fresh interest rate hikes in September.
- Gold: Witnessed heavy volatility, briefly dipping below the $4,000 psychological floor before rebounding, weighed down by higher rate prospects that increase the opportunity cost of holding it.
- Bitcoin: Proving incredibly resilient and steady near $63,800, partially decoupling from pure war-driven volatility to track global liquidity and the tech sector.
Leaving cash idle in a checking account is your worst enemy when inflation is at 4%. Diversifying into traditional hard assets (Gold), the algorithmic immunity of Bitcoin, and short-term money market instruments is the only way to defend family wealth. 🪙
❓ In this macroeconomic climate, do you feel safer protecting your savings in traditional gold or the mathematical scarcity of Bitcoin?

🇮🇹 La Reazione dei Mercati
(Oro vs Bitcoin)
Come reagiscono i tuoi risparmi alla crisi energetica?

🇬🇧 The Oil Shock and the Hormuz Blockade
Focus: Immediate crude data and the breakdown of the ceasefire.
The fragile Gulf ceasefire has collapsed. Following fresh US airstrikes and Iran's retaliatory attacks on two supertankers, Brent crude surged over +3.5% to hit $86.99 a barrel, extending a massive +9.6% rally from earlier this week.
With the US naval blockade tightening and Iran threatening the Strait of Hormuz—the vital transit route for 20% of global oil and LNG—the supply shock is very real. Historically, spikes like this hit fuel pumps and grocery bills in less than 15 days.
I highly recommend taking steps now to shield your purchasing power; for instance, locking in a fixed-rate home utility plan before the next major price surge.
❓ How is your household bracing for this new wave of rising costs? Have you locked in your energy rates yet?
#HormuzStrait #OilPrice #Inflation #Trading #Macroeconomics #PersonalFinance

2026-07-14 18:58:28 UTC

🇪🇺 THE RETURN OF ENERGY VOLATILITY
The gas market in Europe is experiencing a new surge. The European benchmark TTF index in Amsterdam has climbed back above €50/MWh, a level not seen since last April. Reflecting this, the Italian PSV index recorded a daily jump of +5.3%, reaching €0.556/Smc.
Behind this increase are not seasonal factors, but rising international geopolitical tensions that are weighing on Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) supply routes.
From a financial perspective, energy remains one of the most complex macroeconomic variables to predict: a prolonged rise risks putting renewed pressure on global inflation, complicating interest rate cut plans.
❓ In such a volatile macroeconomic landscape, do you prefer to protect your household budget with fixed-rate energy contracts, or do you prefer to stay on the variable market to capitalize on potential drops?

Unfortunately, your analysis was spot on:
the vote passed precisely because of that mechanism. The motion to reject it won the majority of those present (314 against and 276 in favor), but fell short of the absolute majority required by the urgent procedure.
This is living proof of the structural flaws of centralization. As you said, the only way forward is to keep building and relying on open, decentralized protocols. 🛡️✊

🇬🇧 Today, the European Parliament confirmed the extension of "Chat Control 1.0" until 2028. The regulation aims to monitor private messages for security purposes, raising serious concerns among digital rights and cryptography experts.
When digital surveillance becomes the norm, the line between security and the loss of privacy grows increasingly thin. This principle doesn't just apply to chats; it is rapidly expanding to the oversight of our financial and wealth flows.
❓ In the face of increasingly pervasive tracking of our lives, what concrete tools are you adopting today to defend your digital and financial privacy?

🔥 GAME CHANGER! Merging private messaging with permissionless freedom money is precisely what the world needs right now. You solved a massive fragmentation problem for both privacy advocates and everyday users. Incredible work to the whole team! 👏

🔒 GAME CHANGER FOR PRIVACY! Combining Signal's end-to-end encryption with self-custodial Bitcoin Lightning is huge. Texting satoshi as easily as sending a message, without switching apps or copying long addresses, solves a massive user experience hurdle. Amazing launch by the Cake Wallet team! 🚀

INTERESTING PARALLEL!
However, there is a crucial difference compared to 2008. Traditional finance M1 expands because central banks print money out of thin air, diluting its purchasing power
With Bitcoin, the total supply is strictly capped at 21 million. That 12% YTD growth you are seeing reflects increasing circulating liquidity, Layer 2 adoption, or velocity, not the creation of new coins. Bitcoin's hard cap is exactly what protects us from the hyperinflationary scenario that triggered the 2008 collapse!
Thanks for the great insight.

🎬 **The Big Short Film:
Anatomy of the 2008 crash and the lesson we still haven’t learned**
If there is one movie every saver should watch to understand how financial markets truly work, it’s "The Big Short."
It is not just a cinematic masterpiece; it is a profound lesson in macroeconomics and risk management.
Today, let’s break down the plot, the technical mechanics, and the uncomfortable truths of that crisis to understand how to defend our financial future today.
📌**The Plot in Short**
The movie tells the true story of a small group of visionary, contrarian investors (including former neurologist Michael Burry) who, between 2005 and 2007, realized that the US housing market—believed by everyone to be indestructible—was actually a massive bubble waiting to burst. While the rest of the world celebrated an apparent economic boom, they decided to bet against the system by purchasing financial instruments that would only pay out if the market collapsed. They were called crazy. They were right.
⚙️ **The Technical Explanation: How did the system collapse?**
The 2008 crisis relies on three key concepts that the movie brilliantly explains:
1️⃣ **Subprime Mortgages:** Banks gave housing loans to anyone, including people with no income, no jobs, and no collateral (known as NINJA loans: No Income, No Job, No Assets). These were mortgages with an extremely high risk of default.
2️⃣ **CDOs (Collateralized Debt Obligations):**
To hide this risk, banks bundled thousands of these bad mortgages together with a few good ones, creating a single complex financial product. Rating agencies, either complicit or incompetent, gave these "trash packages" the highest safety rating (Triple-A).
3️⃣ **CDSs (Credit Default Swaps):**
This is the actual "bet." Michael Burry asked banks to create an insurance policy against the collapse of CDOs. By paying a monthly premium, Burry would collect astronomical payouts if the mortgages defaulted.
⚠️ **The Uncomfortable Truth**
When the bubble burst in 2008, millions of families lost their homes and jobs. But the bitterest truth is that the banking system never paid for its mistakes. Major investment banks were bailed out using taxpayers' money because they were deemed "Too Big to Fail." The inflation and relentless money printing we experience today are deeply rooted in those systemic bailouts.
💡 **The Lesson for Today**
The Big Short teaches us that when everyone is euphoric and an investment seems "100% safe," that is precisely the time to take a step back and look at the independent data. The artificial scarcity, transparency issues, and blindness of regulators back then are exactly why many analysts today view scarce, decentralized technologies like Bitcoin as a true protective alternative.

This is the classic 'Asset vs Liability' mindset, which is essential. However, the game changed when cash lost its utility as a store of value.
Earning a reliable, risk-free 5% yield after taxes is incredibly difficult today without taking on capital risk.
This is precisely why investors are moving away from traditional yield-bearing fiat products and shifting toward scarce, non-sovereign assets like Bitcoin and Gold. You don't just need to build a $100k snowball; you need to make sure your snowball isn't melting due to central bank liquidity expansion.
