Last Notes
Finally everything is out of the ground. This was by far my best carrot yield on this 2‘ x 6‘ bed. Red Cored Danvers. About 40lb I figure.  I put them in perforated bags in the crisper in the fridge, and also had to convert one of my big ice chest coolers into a big crisper. I just went with a swappable frozen 4 L in it and a couple pieces of damp paper towel. Should keep things crisp for the couple weeks of short sessions I’ll need to get everything preserved. #gardenstr

No, definitely not. There’s always more to do. Another sale, more research, refining processes. I guess what I’m getting at is that the business owner is the sole benefactor of the productivity gains. Unless they are one who routinely shares the success that their most creative and hard working people are creating, with those people. In 35 years I’ve only worked for one guy who did.

I’m still trying to figure out as a Canadian bitcoiner why I’ve never received even so much as a reply or a like when I’ve reached out or engaged. I’ve been on nostr for three years, reached out to the show in the early days, zapped and replied to posts. Even asked if the host and associates wanted to get together if we found ourselves at the Canadian bitcoin conference or the Bitcoin rodeo some year at the same time. Maybe it’s just a function of the mild disconnectedness of the protocol, and dm failures. Sorry to see the channel down but still bewildered about the lack of replies or acknowledgment of some pretty fat zaps and words of praise and reposts in the early days. It could be a case of ships passing in the night, but I’m left smelling my pits wondering why I can’t seem to connect with some guys who are on the same mission, only hours away.

The call was answered today. My 75 year old uncle drove 20 hours from his moose camp in Northern Ontario to pay me a visit. He showed up with 6 grouse that he bagged around camp and we had the biggest feed ever of grouse fettuccine with sautéed onions and mushrooms. Shooting the shit and talking about when he used to take me hunting and fishing as a kid. I was the first grandkid in a family of six aunts and uncles, and every one of them went out of their way to do things with me as I was growing up. But my good old uncle Dave, he dragged me everywhere hunting and fishing. I was touched that he came to visit. So after dinner he says he has something he wanted to give me, since this could very well be our last visit. He hands me this box, I open it up. 9 inches of razor sharp steel in a legit custom handmade Bowie. I was floored. Had a great night talking about old times, and I was so encouraged by his enthusiasm about my life, and his hopes for me. There’s nothing like family.
