Things are going pretty well actually. Maybe you haven’t paid any attention. Alphapool stopped his attack and started cooperating. A few shitcoin miners abandoned mining after the SF (about 1.5 PH/s, which is nothing). Block construction looks better than before the soft fork and consensus is gathering for extending the maturity to 1 year. Basically all of the optimistic expectations for the fork matherialised. So I don’t see what isn’t going well tbh.
