Blue Collar Bitcoin

Earlier this year, Blue Collar Bitcoin crossed the 1 million listens mark.
Heartfelt appreciation from the 2 of us to all the guests who've contributed, and to all you psychopaths who've listened over these last 3 yrs.👊

Too much #bitcoin today can mean less #bitcoin in the future.
Make sure the size of ur stack relative to ur net worth matches ur level of job security & cash flow (present & future).

Um.…looks like the #Bitcoin ETF was a big f**king deal.

2024-02-20 13:13:30 UTC

Given enough time, too much power in the hands of a small group of people ALWAYS results in problems.
#Bitcoin is the only digital asset on the planet that avoids this pitfall.

2024-02-02 19:17:15 UTC

#Bitcoin gives no fucks.
With this protocol, nothing is sacred and it has no opinion. It just executes…LIKE A GORGEOUS PSYCHOPATH.
@npub1az9…m8y8 joins to riff on this and more.💪

#BTC initially b*tch slaps u with regret, but with patience it eventually rewards.
Be grateful for what you have — you’re EARLY.

Reaching ur potential doesn't include being 40 plus lbs overweight.

What still confuses you the most about #Bitcoin?

2023-11-22 06:48:48 UTC

What’s truly paradigm shifting is a digital form of value with a COMPLETELY and PERPETUALLY reliable number of monetary units.
There is only ONE protocol remotely close to accomplishing this.
#Bitcoin

The VAST majority don't grasp the extent to which the state consolidates power in a digital fiat landscape.
#Bitcoin propels us in 2 promising directions:
1⃣Diminishes the dominance of government-issued currency.
2⃣Leverages the digital realm to promote freedom, as opposed to surveillance.

2023-11-04 03:36:51 UTC

Like many paradigm breaking discoveries, #Bitcoin likely enforces the world YOU already see.
Christians think it reflects Christianity. Atheists think it reflects atheism. Agnostics think it reflects agnosticism.

2023-10-31 03:03:56 UTC

This quote has us captivated by its accuracy. 😱
Carl Sagan wrote this about the future of America that he feared circa 1994 in the book “The Demon-Haunted World”
“I have a foreboding of an America in my children's or grandchildren's time -- when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness...”

2023-10-01 21:39:19 UTC

If you're willing to do the dirty work in the 2020s & 2030s, you might just get PAID.🫰💸
Here's why.👇
We're starting to see more manual labor, manufacturing, & industrial jobs get BIG pay bumps. The most popular example right now is UPS drivers making $170k. Some work-from-home computer warriors may be upset, but prepare for this trend to potentially continue.🤷
Over the past few decades, the incentives in the U.S. have led to an increasing percentage of talent & human capital moving toward software, healthcare & the financial sector. When we zoom out, this is (at least in part) due to American manufacturing & industry becoming less profitable as a result of a perpetually (and artificially) strong $USD — the downstream consequence of a fiat monetary system & USD hegemony (but I digress).
Couple this with the fact that people seem to be startlingly & increasingly lazy. Society was soft before COVID, and the pandemic added even more down feathers to the workforce pillow🪶. Seems like everyone & their cousin's mother wants to sit at home in front of a computer...drinking smoothies, petting their Aussiedoodle, and doing yoga throughout the work day. Nobody wants to get their hands dirty.🛠️
"The MBA graduate from a mid tier school that's making excel spreadsheets that get read by 2 people and don't do anything....they aren't necessarily providing value."
—@jimmysong
To use firefighting as a labor example, 10 years ago our department had literally 10x as many applicants as are interested today🤯
There is a shortage of real labor, especially skilled labor, and with US industry & manufacturing desperately trying to reshore & catch up as the world starts to de-globalize, those willing to step up are going to get compensated for it.
Demand for labor is high.
Supply of labor is low.
In today's environment, those who get off their ass may be increasingly rewarded. And in our view, there's a real chance that amidst this low labor supply, unions may actually strengthen considerably. Although computer warriors might b*tch & moan about it...this jealousy from the confines of home offices is likely to continue until the work force improves.

The Potential Dangers of Artificial Intelligence....According To Artificial Intelligence (ChatGPT 4)👇👇👀
There are a number of potential dangers associated with developing a strong generalized artificial intelligence (AGI), which is an AI system that can perform any intellectual task that a human can do. Some of these potential dangers include:
1.) Existential risk: AGI could potentially become so powerful that it poses an existential risk to humanity, by creating new technologies or by taking actions that lead to our extinction.
2.) Unemployment: AGI could potentially replace human workers in many industries, leading to widespread unemployment and economic disruption.
3.) Bias: AGI systems could potentially perpetuate and amplify biases and inequalities present in the data they are trained on.
4.) Control: Once AGI reaches a certain level of sophistication, it could become difficult or impossible for humans to control or understand its actions.
5.) Manipulation: AGI could potentially be used to manipulate and influence individuals, groups, or even entire societies, by using advanced algorithms and techniques to shape opinions and behavior.
6.) Security: AGI could potentially be used to carry out cyber attacks or other malicious actions that could have serious consequences for individuals, organizations, and governments.
7.) Ethical concerns: AGI could raise a host of ethical concerns, such as questions about the rights and autonomy of artificially intelligent beings, and the moral implications of creating new forms of life.
These are just a few of the potential dangers associated with developing a strong generalized artificial intelligence. It is important for researchers and policymakers to carefully consider these risks as they work to advance the field of AI.
