I just got off the phone with a PA Amish man about a dog.
Sent a text to start, didn't know he was Amish... he calls.
"Easier than texting. I don't do all these websites, I don't have a phone for a current picture... I'm Amish. Not sure if you know who the Amish are?"
It's actually who I bought my last dog from, too, & they all have funny, one-syllable last names, & they're all refreshingly human & like going back to the 90's 😃💓

I didn't know he was jewish. Another one bites the dust :welp:

Brilliant! Ha! I mentioned succumbing to some genetic testing recently, but more for traits/health, etc... they can actually tell you about your bodily thermostat pertaining to cold. Mine is high, which makes sense.

Is she your only daughter?? Sounds like she's 10+ yrs younger than sibs, though? My brothers did some wild, crazy, Gen X boy things, but Mom said us girls (2 after 5 boys) were harder 😬
Drugs weren't my thing, besides a bit of pot, but mom knocked me across the bathroom for bad taste in 1st boyfriend. Lol. Sigh, so far, my daughter is only 2 & still harder than brothers, yes... aggghh

Yeah, it's tough. Some women are just becoming the breadwinners & stay-at-home dads have increased. That's a weird dynamic tbh, though... she usually wears the pants & resents him on some level.

I'm not sure if I do remember those 🤔 I was very young for the party lines, but I also remember rotary phones... I'm still hopefully only old to some zoomers & the alpha crowd. Humor me, Dag. Lol

I very much complimented our plumber for his big friendship windmill tat on calf earlier this year. Took him like 5 min to accept it, lol, & included apology for wearing shorts, but even our rebel flags were taboo & coming back. Sieg heil 🫡

It's very strange. All hyper-vain people are strange to me, though, even if they're attractive. Unironically, you shouldn't have to be overly vain if you're naturally attractive.
Aesthetic appeal is one thing. Vanity of hood rats & whores, another.

One thing probably not different is the power dynamic between genders. More than just taller, stronger, faster (natural things)... society seems to work better when men also have economic & social leverage over women, too, since we're obviously looking for all of it.
Women fought for "equality" to be artificially elevated, & consequentially think less of men.
Men truly rarely abused those powers over us in the past, either... we're just told they did.

Wow! I wonder why Chinese courts are so backwards if they supposedly kicked out jews a long time ago 🤔
Asians have always seemed "transactional" to me, anyhow, but when you sprinkle in materialism, advertising, & women working, too... so bad 😩 Not sure I understood his talk on White guilt at end, though.

Only 8 min. so far (can't finish now), but very interesting 🤔 I'm sure economy, schooling, & employment were huge drivers in female behavior, too, then internet dating was a nail in the coffin (easily finding the upper 10-20% of men, even if just for casual sex). Ack.

My mom was the tail end of the silent generation, though even her boomer sisters are very good women... I know she expressed being basically bewildered by 60's movements (even rock & roll, largely, since they still listened to family play, or bands like The Carters, etc, but especially hippies, MLK Jr, feminism/abortion rights).
It certainly wasn't organic-feeling to our people who knew better. A lot of yentas to start, ofc.

Turned on oven self clean (gas) for first time in this house, now everything stinks & I'm too scared to sleep... think I killed it prematurely.
